Original Song - Wonderwall (Oasis) written by Noel Gallagher
What's the 2nd hardest song in the world? 🤔👇🏻
035
beans on toast simulator theme song
Seven nation army. Definitely.
Sonata Sz 117 Bartok
Im sorry if im bein cliche but for me its polyphia goat
Charles: *able to talk perfectly while playing one of the hardest bass song ever*
Me: *able to talk*
Well you got half done then only 50% left. LET'S GOOOOO
Me: not able to talk after watching this😆
Me: stuck dumb, mouth hanging open.
"The ability to speak does not make you intelligent" 🤔
*Me after a year of quarantine:* unable to talk
In the world of BASS, you're what's known as a 'Triple Threat'.
✅Plays Bass.
✅Uses humor to cope.
✅Can speak coherently.
And doesn't need to rely on weird bass faces
@@lukekent9687 his face is the weird bass face
Tap like now, what are you waiting for?
A bass player who cant make a good sandwich is useless.
Charles has now scientifically proven that Wonderwall is a complex and difficult piece. What a legend
If you listen really closely you can hear all of this going on in the original recording... It's just really buried in the mix
@@CharlesBerthoud So true!
Charles just crushed this - excellent work. Brad Mehldau does an incredible version too.
Can confirm, I was able to sing the whole chorus every level 👍🏼
Wait why do I see you everywhere?
That ad read was actually insane. There are videos where people try reading while doing something else, but bass playing might be hotter.
"Anyways, here's Classical Thump"
The irony is you can hardly hear the bass in Wonderwall unless you stick to the isolated track, only to realize it drives the whole song forward
If the bass drives the song forward, then it isn't hard to hear the bass
@@VicSellsPeace I meant it well hidden in the mix, when you listen to the song normally it's difficult to notice because of the cello part. First time I got a good glimpse of the bass part was watching Rick Beato's video about the song
@@raphaelfp Oh I see what you mean. It's not as defined unlike the vocals and such, yeah I agree.
I used to have a hard time hearing bass in music a lot but when I started making and mixing music myself, it was a million times easier to notice it
Guigsy is an underrated bassist.
@@ethanprince356 no he is not, and it wasn't even him playing this part. I mean, he is pretty bread and butter and I think it was suitable for Oasis while he was there, but underrated is too much
Charles is the type of guy that makes you either dedicate your life to bass or quit it for good.
He definitely puts me in my place. He is genius at bass, and making entertaining videos. A genuine renaissance man!
I thought i was ok until i watched charles
Hah, exactly. It should be inspirational, but it's so next-level insane that it makes me want to give up.
I got here as fast as those 128th notes in the thumbnail are about to be
Aye a musician who can sightread
@@SammySlamma92true
if you play this on guitar it basically becomes ichika nito
Charles is basically ichika on bass and ichika is charles on guitar
Charles is god level but Ichika is master of all gods, he could do this within his first year of playing
now i want to see charles play guitar...
Funny bc Ichika started as a bass player
Doesn’t Ichika speed up some of His videos?
1:57 when you discover you and Ichika Nito have the same great-great-great-great grandfather
The great-great-great-great grandfather: Apollo the god of music
Nice pfp, open season is fire
thought the same thing also. the resemblance
@@iqval8929 yea! even Charles himself said in his q&a that his style and Ichika's work well together
I was looking for this comment
He is so good at bass that he can sight read without looking at the sheet music
The one youtuber that take sponsor ads to the next level. Gg man
Charles, and Daniel Thrasher are two whose ad reads I never skip

A full version of the first solo would be epic.
if you find out the source of the solo answer me pls

I will let you know tho.
Its his original bass solo, The vid is titled "When Davie504 says play an impossible bass solo"

Out of all the walls... this version is the most Wonderful.
Gunstar Red!!
@@whosaidthat84 such a good game!
Hahahaha!!
Isnt that opening that hardest bass line he made for Davie?
Obviously we know you're probably the best bass player on UA-cam, but your comedy chops really do it for me, you haven't just gone for random for the sake of being random, your videos are well thought out, I always get excited when I get a notification on my phone that you've posted something.
Cheers mate!
I mean, is this guy the best bass player in the world? Would love to learn of someone even better.
the best bass player on yt ? JACO .
@@user-ho1hw7ps4v come on, surely you understood I meant UA-camr, as opposed to a video of anyone that could be uploaded to UA-cam, otherwise I would have said he was the best bass player ever, but even then I would put some bass players above Jaco, depends on what style we are talking about
I really like how you started the video by diving right into bass playing (no 10 seconds of intro), then went into the comedic bit set up. It practically goes without saying on your videos, but the bass playing was absolutely incredible, as always!
1:57,"i promise I'm still playing wonderwall" really sounded like something ichika nitto would play😂
Can you pls tell me what song that is? I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY MIND.
@PCBenjamin can you send the link to it.
Fuck it does... shit now I need to hear a full version that crazy.
I love these type of videos, so funny and impressive! :D And that ending was hilarious too! I've read 'The Music Lesson' some years ago and really loved it!
You and Charles need to collab!
Why does a TommyLeeDepp comment has only 130 likes and 2 comments?
@QP he deserves more
Bruh, love the melodic stuff! I'm off the ilk that believes some bassists can get so good on bass that they're not fun to listen to anymore. Playing super fast or rocking some insanely difficult right hand slap technique to the point of it not even sounding like music anymore bores, me, but when a super talented bassist plays beautiful melodies and harmonies or lays down some sick deep groove without show casing near impossible techniques just to do it, it's a beautiful thing. Keep wowing us, Charles! I love your abilities and styling.
1:38 this is orgasmic!!! I fell how this part is healing my body and feeding and caressing my soul!!!!!! Pure magic of the skill!!!
“I promise I’m still playing wonderwall” -editing Charles at stage 6
Charles afterwards: doesn’t promise he’s playing wonderwall
Charles: "I can play classical thumb and talk at the same time"
Me (trying to do the same think): i forget how to talk, walk, my mother's name, playing bass. Nice
Man you can't even walk and talk at the same time
@@timmyturner5864 he never said that
The end part sounded a bit messy, not?
Dude, you're no human... That's amazing... No words for that masterpiece, regards from Brazil!!
I am not a bass player. But honestly you are one of the greatest musician in the whole world.
I love to listen to your playing you always tell a story with your songs. The technical terms blow me away. You prove that a bass is also one of the Most beautiful instrument in the world. Thank you so much for your entertainment!
That's always a pleasure to watch one of your videos! Thanks for this!
Not only amazing bass skills, but also wonderful editing, acting, and humor. I really love this guy!
Reminds me of the piece for solo double bass called "Failing." It gets increasingly more difficult throughout as more extended techniques and talking actions are added.
My man! Thought of the same composition :D
Absolutely stunning. As always
ok your skill plus editing plus comedic timing is next level man !
When I think you cant surprise me anymore, you come with another mind blowing video. Great video man, I love it!
3:27 ᶜʰᵃʳˡᵉˢ
this man just turned wonderwall into a good song before our very eyes
Wonderwall is a good song, just kindof a meme due to being overplayed by every intermediate guitarist
Wonderwall is a beautiful song.
Oasis is incredible. Not everything has to be complex.
He plays so clean, sounds so great! Thanks !
I’ve been fortunate to see my favorite bass player Victor Wooten player twice here in small venues in LA. I never thought that I would see someone better. Charles is amazing.
"I promise I'm still playing Wonderwall."
Aaahaahhahhahahaha!!
1:57 Please keep doing this style! Its extremely cool!
You should watch Ichika Nito
@@oat9593 what is the song? Can u post the link?
Look at the smirk on his face while absolutely nailing the tapoaclypse
I love how Charles gets so closed to messing up yet still safe doing that ad at the end, the tension is definitely there if that's what he was looking for.
holly crap this guy just keeps making harder to play songs. I think this dude is the best bass player in the world
2:10 when the bass sounds like the guitarr
Charles you really are an amazing bassist, I have enough history of enjoying music to recall when the base mostly disappeared in the music and only the most dedicated music lovers would dig that magic out of the mix. You're a joy to listen to.
Oh my God please more of this type of thing. A super amped up version of a song I already know is SICK
"I can listen to audio books while cooking"
Cooking video when?
Imagine whipping out the bass at a party, and play it like this when someone asks for wonderwall xD
Good work man. First time ever I knowingly didn't skip a sponsor ad. Again good work.
All the sudden I think I have my bass set up wrong... you make it look so effortless, the " tapocalypse " was so beautifully done. Great video.
Ahh 3:27 I think Charles forgot to say Charles!
(Still the most impressive thing I've ever seen)

You keep making me truly love these songs I hate.
Incredible interpretation and magic execution. You looked so casual playing this as well.
Sublime.
Sometimes i like to hear the hardest bass solo on the cheapest bass 👍
What do you mean?
@@dominikweber4305 play a very difficult bass solo with a bass that does not cost a lot of money
1:58 I didn't know this is possible with a bass.
Best commercial ever on UA-cam. What a great way to work that in. Damn show off. I can barely speak or play and not at the same time. He makes it look like you’re watching 2 different people.
You NEVER cease to amaze me my friend! Can't wait to see what comes next
Do an endurance video
How long can a pro play the most difficult bass riff
Now I really wanna listen to THAT smells like teen spirit
Simply Amazing! Never heard this kind of bass playing before , you got the goods!
Superb Charles, completely bowled over by the mind boggling performance

Damn song turned into an anime opening midway through 🤣
Seriously one of the most fun channels to watch on UA-cam
Wow! Great playing!. More music please.
Someone is gonna kill me for saying this, but I stopped listening to Davie once I started listening to Charles😅

I actually loved the ad!! Well played, sir!!
I was just listening to Wonderwall yesterday. I never imagined it could sound like this.
OMG I´m first! Hey Charles!
🏅🙏🏻
@@CharlesBerthoud I must say you are the god of all the bass players! First I was thought Wonderwall sounding on guitar better because there was no good bass cover of Wonderwall! But now with the power of bass I turned my mind and must say the bass version of Wonderwall sounds way better and very funky too! I wish you make a part 2 of that but at this time you must choose a other song!
And I thought that I could play that song... :(
Very well played Sir. Most enjoyable
You deserve more views man, keep up the good work!
Wonderwall but camiella wrote it.
So.. can Davie504 do this? 😂
One month later and wondertap is still the most beautiful thing I have ever heard
Astounding! Technical brillance, artistry, perfect musicality and modesty to boot. Such a thrill to watch.
He's slapping bass and talking at the same time, meanwhile I can't walk and chew gum at the same time.
I challenge you if you the best bass in the world to collab with Alip ba ta musik... can you accept that!!!!!!!
Cool idea
Your Classical Thump rendition reminds me of "Failing" ...the double bass piece. But seriously, that was the coolest ad placement ever!
Amazing... Really love you, Charles! Awesome skills.
So damn crazy, Charles. Congrats.
Thank you Charlie for being one of my living inspirations that has helped me want to begin music playing even more by just enjoying it no matter how it sounds
That was so entertaining yet skillful, love tapocalypse!
Oh Charles. You are amazing!
#6 transition to #7 gave me goosebumps! I love these "If ___ was the hardest song..." videos, keep it up Charles!
These sightreading faces are so accurate
Great playing as always
This gave me Nulberry vibes. I love the highly technical renditions of this song that can be found on UA-cam
That was really WONDERfull, Charles.
That ending add tho, so freaking gooooooddd
You are such a god charles, holy shit
More like this! ITs pure GOLD !
That was actually a wonderful arrangement of wonderwall. Awesome job!

First advertisement that dropped my jaw. You sir, are a true genius!
Long day, found these. So good.
I really like this rendition - I think Charles did an excellent job here. I can't stop playing it! :) All the bits seem to fit in nicely with each other...
Definitely the best version of Wonderwall.. maybe. Lovely work as always Charles.
Awesome version of wonder wall ... love thé finger work
Wow! I can't believe you finally played a piece in 9/64, my favorite time signature!
