- I hate everything about this fight. I was so stressed at the end there. Ugh.
You might have a better time if you get HGE, but you'll have to farm for Hornetaur Heads, which may or may not take a while. I dunno, I just hate getting bug materials personally. You can use the Garuga Set, with the Garuga Mask, and gem in three Earplug Jewels to get HGE.
Earplug Jewels need:
1 Battlefield Jewel
1 Garuga Ear
1 Hornetaur Head
Use the trap as soon as he jumps back to start being enraged, use flash bombs when he's enraged and stay to his left side, watch out for his bites and spin attacks. Flash Bombs work well both against Tigrex because otherwise he runs around all over the damn place, and also with hammer because of the super pound. Use triple pound when he's taunting.

Instead of doing the triangle 1, 2, 3 to catch Tigrex's head when it was turning to face you, you could have done the Charge instead. This would have give you a faster recovery time.
I mainly use Long Sword...but against this monster I always prefer to use Gs and Hammer even to monsters like narga, kushala,akantor, ukanlos, teostra/lunastra there is something in their movements that makes good for the weapon it's all about timing, luring make them do the attack that you want them to do then set charges or pound on their faces.
Yeah, I think Tigrex in particular is well suited for GS and Hammer gameplay, though I prefer LS for Narga personally.
Gs and Hammer is a actually good against narga though with hammer you need mega juice to keep up with him coz' he moves/jumps a lot same goes with other weapons OR NOT if you want it too😜...but using hammer against him in mhfu i always want my stamina full...with Gs i never worry to do charges coz' he doesn't do the attack which he tail spins like he does in other versions just beware on his back flip which causes 70% or 80% loss on your health and also kills you in instant if your health is in 60% and below i think it has different damage if he's in rage and not just beware of that...but I think it's not a big deal coz' most of the time it lands on your left which I think you know it already😀...he gives you a lot of windows to set charge. But I'm not gonna lie still having problems with some of his attack which he jumps towards you sometimes repeatedly idk how to call that unseen charges 🤔😅...coz' i can't perfect the timing on i-framing and seeing my self rolling like a pencil 😂😂😂
This guy actually made me train my predicting skills and timing cause he really pisses me off

As a hammer "main", I gotta say this video gave me an "ouch"... You could be charging while you weren't able to hit him, and then, when there was a chance to hit, release the attack. It would have been much faster and easier. But one thing I gotta say, that headsniping was S W E E T.

I'm definitely not a hammer user. And that definitely wasn't a waste of a mega potion. He does a lot of damage when he's enraged, and I wanted to top off while I could, since he's so slow when not enraged, and I didn't want to get one or two shot. I'd have used a max potion if i brought any, but I try not to for these videos.
Yeah, I was just doing what I could. I don't have HGE for this fight, since I didn't want to farm for the earplug jewels.
@@HeadHunter455 The roar is preety easy to handle. Bc it is small (the frames it is active), u just give some distance in the begining and then proceed to punish him in the rest of his animation.
About the mega pot, you could have used just a regular pot that it would basically top your health. I see your POV, but at that time it wasn't urgent.

Yeah, I always think that why you didn't charge your hammer? It makes you can deal more damage than regular slam

@@ackzashackervi2294 Hammer super pound deals lower KO damage than the tri combo, same with Hunting Horn Slam attack. The Side combos have higher KO damage than super slam
Sometimes i found Hammers for Tigrex are easier than GS,if you dont mind i can show you.Its just need practicing
From what I can tell, the videos I've seen all require HGE to do anything well enough.
Other videos I tried to find without HGE didn't go very well, but feel free to give it a go, I'm definitely not a hammer user really haha
Hge does make the hunt comfortable but , tigrex vs hammer without hge can be done just fine🙂

The hammer on Mhfu feels hard to play, i think the hammer on Mhp3rd is more easier to handle cuz they added new moves to it. Oh by the way what hammer is that you're using?
Yeah it's really slow in MHFU.
I showed the hammer in the intro, it's the "Dynamic Hammer" Which is the blue kut-ku hammer.
It's easy to use on some monster (like yian family) :)
Tips:
1- Hammer is used for hit and run tactics. Charge, move looking for an opening, release charge, move away/let monster move away. Rinse and repeat.
2- Doing the Triangle 1, 2, 3 hit combo will leave you TOTALLY VULNERABLE. Only use ot when you know the mosnter wont counter attack. Use 1, 2 instead if you don't have the time for a charge.
3- Im not sure if this worked since MHFU or MH3rdP, but I think you can do Circle, R, triangle, Triangle, triangle.
4- Use circle for QUICK attacks.
3- doesn't work in mhfu.

Hello, hey, how do they do that final technique with the hammer in 6:56?? I do the twist with the hammer but in the end it falls to the floor
I have a hammer guide that explains more but during the spin you need to press Triangle after a certain number of spins. Depending on when you stop the attack, you'll do a different move, for the golf swing I think it's 4 or 5.

True! If you attack at the wrong time, the weapons weight is less controllable than a Greatsword, even though you can run with it out, it can be pretty difficult to get the hang of.
I defeated this boss in 2 tries it was dope but still hard tho that charge makes me want to crush my phone

I like a lot of the modern stuff in MHW etc. but MHFU really just had a solid base to build upon, and it's such a good version of the game.
Some weapons I don't enjoy as much in later games tbh, Sword and Shield is the biggest one tbh, something about how they made it's moveset so floaty just doesn't feel the same as in the older games. Not that it's bad, just that it doesn't feel like it plays the same.

Im using Raven Torrent (i think thats the garuga hammer name) but i died 2 times while literally being stacked with everything and when i mean everything, literally full that i couldnt even make the 3rd carve maybe this is because i dont have powercharm and armorcharm?

Some weapons are easier to use than others, but he's just a bastard in this game honestly.
Try and stick with it, I wanna say just about every attack is avoidable in some way, but figuring out how to avoid it and deal damage as well is the tricky part >.
I beat him using a kut-ku pick. Take advantage of him turning twice, use the R charge then make sure the superpound hits ( must only hit his head using the shockwave cause for some reason, if you also hit another part of him like his leg through the shockwave hitbox, even if you hit his head first, it won't hit his head) just repeat it until he goes rage mode
If he goes on rage mode, just keep on dodging until he does the two jumps cause most of the time he'll do a taunt after giving you room to charge your superpound and hit his head

Yep, mostly because I forget or just don't really think about it.
I only capture if the fight is going horribly, to end it as soon as possible, like for my Tigrex vs SNS video and stuff.
Suppose I could've done it here, but another thing is sometimes I can't tell when it's ready to capture. Monsters don't limp when they're enraged, and some monsters will become enraged after one hit when they're low health, lol, which could be an indicator in itself, but I can never be too sure I guess.

I always thing of the butterfly armor..... I should make it... it's got decent defense too.
I never bring it up because it requires fighting Plesioth... but I guess you can cheese it with shock traps lol
@@HeadHunter455 Why cheese?; anything with reach and Thunder absolutely shreds Plesioth. Even Bows actually do something, which is novel, since they were at their worst in MHFU.
plesioth is a Chuck e cheese against Lance and gunlance tho.
Why did you pick the dynamic hammer instead of kutku pick? It has higher damage, sharpness, affinity and more slots.

It said that in 3 star the best hammer is the dynamic hammer.
Also consider that even if something is possible, this guide is meant for more beginner players.
@@HeadHunter455 You shouldn't treat guides as the definitive way of choosing your weapons. The person writing a guide this large clearly made some mistakes and this is one of them. Even the in game info magazine about armors mixed up D and S series. Also why so hostile, I just asked a simple question.

In G-Rank Greatsword is no longer consistent, it requires a very specific set of gear and since Tigrex is so much faster, you have practically no room for error.
Lance is a much better option by far, honestly objectively speaking. It's just consistent and much less stressful and demanding.

Well,he's not a main hammer type so i think he did a good job not dying to the Tigrex.
Bruh why like that? I've been using hammer all my Monster Hunter life and Tigrex made me question my skills. I had to use Great Sword, the weapon I hate most, to defeat Tigrex since I can't with a hammer. This guy who made the video, despite not being a hammer main, survived the fight. Respect him for that.
