Thank you so much for this close up video. I didn’t count them but there seemed to be well over 12 guitars on view in your video which is great. The showing continues in UK during January leading up to the actual auction. It’s a joy to see this video, though it’s also mixed with such end of an era sadness RIP Jeff ❤🙏
I found this video to be extremely depressing. I miss him. For those who are interested, there are videos of him going though his full collection, telling stories about them and playing them. This was at his home - I think in the attic.
@@rosewoodsteel6656 Please look around for his video with him discussing stories about his collection, like how John Mcloughlin gave him his white/rosewood Strat.
Thanks for posting this. Christie’s has yet to put it up online because they want to sell their auction books. It’s interesting to see the condition of these. He truly used them as tools. No closet queens here! The greatest!
This made me sad😢 I get they are to some people “just guitars” that’s what people say about my modest collection, but the history and providence those guitars have, the memories and events that were made. It’s hard to explain.
I never thought this would happen. I looked every so often. Every time I didn't see it I was relieved. Truthfully I don't think Jeff cared if they were sold or not. I know he already had a deal for the cars. He had them sold with the option to buy them back at the same price. This is very tough to watch.
I would keep all those guitars if I had been left with them, no matter how much cash I could make...those aren't just guitars, those are part of rock's history
To us. Not to wives/girlfriends and children. It's money esp these days. Just like back catalogues. Can we imagine what the guitars of Ron Wood, Keith and Page are going to fetch?
This is not just a bunch of guitars Mr. Beck owned - these are his workhorses. The ones that he played on albums and in concerts, the ones pictured on album covers. I get the impression he didn't have a bunch of gear just to have it. The modern Strat with the 2-point trem, Wilkinson roller nut, contoured heel, and reverse headstock was a common one to see him play in later years. I love the Tele with the forearm and belly carve like a Strat. I wonder if he did that himself with a sander in his garage. And the other white Tele I remember from a Seymour Duncan poster I had as a kid. And the Oxblood Les Paul from Blow By Blow. Sad that this is the last time they will be in one place - I'd pay just to see them in person.
It’s an amazing collection and one that will surely fetch top dollar for the Beck family. Such a great loss not having Jeff with us anymore. He was a legend. Too bad the videography wasn’t better in this post. Doing this with an iPhone is sacrilegious.
I didn't ever meet Jeff Beck or had the chance to go to a concert of him but this feels so intense watching those former beloved and iconic possessions of him - man! Really awkward and sad...
Nobody will ever play them like Jeff did, it's sad that they will go to rich professional people who will show them off at cocktail parties. Should be in a museum, it's like a painter using Rembrandts brushes, there's only one Jeff Beck.
The white Fender Strat with the reversed headstock isn´t the same one, that he played in many shows. So this one here is probably number 2 (like the sticker on the side says) with another reverse neck.
The cameraman doesn't film guitars very often methinks, and some comentary on the different vintage years of the mostly Fenders strats teles etc would have been useful.
This one is awesome. It might solved the question I had it with Surf Green one. However it's sad that all of those have price tags. JB was God or at least sun of HIM so those guitars should be located at the side of Shroud of Turin or Lance of Longinus or the other holy relics.
Are you standing on ceiling or one of the side walls? Wondering how those guitars defy sideways gravity. Lol. When asked about Jeff Beck , his good friend Jimmy Page said “when I play with Jeff I play rhythm”.
so glad you posted this.. heard about the collection going up for auction.. this is awesome, and so are all the guitars.. thanks and cheers

This was amazing, thank you for sharing this with us. 🙏😊
I love that you we’re trying to give us a feel for the action these camera angles.
These guitars should be displayed in a museum.
They should be played.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
love that they are getting new home,s!!!
Thanks for posting these beauties,, Love that ox blood LP,, PEACE
The blow by blow cover LP 😍I saw him play that in 1974 in Manchester UK

I felt the same way. When the first Strat was displayed, I could only think that it belonged to him. It feels sacreligious to me.

This made me sad😢

Makes me sad all over again.
For Sure
Same here. My wife offered to take to LA for this, but just couldn’t do it.
Jeff was the best ever. There’s nobody close.
Someone should be keeping them for a museum for one of the greatest electric guitarist ever!
Very nice. We see all those guitas and think about the amazing music the genius did with them. RIP, Jeff. 🙏🏼😞
Just touching😢 bless you Jeff❤

Yeah, you say that..., until your wife wants to remodel the kitchen and bathrooms.

Tough to know value in 20 years.

They will still be history, and other people will take care of them. Jeff wanted them sold.
Oh Jeff I miss you man.
Thanks for sharing. Disappointing that his family isn’t keeping them. 😢
If the ox blood les Paul doesn’t become the highest ever sold I’ll be surprised!!! Was watching a video last night of him playing it!!
Get ready to be surprised. 😂
Good to see that Seymour Duncan gave the Yardbirds Esquire back- awesome guitar.
Custom shop replica at 9:22.
It will be interesting to see what the oxblood Les Paul goes for. I'm sure it will be the star of the sale.
IMHO it’s the “TeleGib” that he played “Cause We Ended as Lovers” on.

Is the Strat at 3:31 the one Lukather used to perform Little Wing at The Hollywood Bowl earlier this year?

Interesting the bridge position was on the first strat , I always wondered

MEGA BRUTAL , MUCHO JUMBO FRETS , GRACIAS
They all belong in a museum. To be lent out for special occasions and players. Not in the private hands of a zealous collector.
I notice that the rosewood fretboards on his Strats are a lot thinker then mine lol.

That's sad that they're going to auction. A museum should raise the funds to buy the collection and keep it together and on display.

Don't think Jeff was into cleaning them.
These estimates seem pretty low to me.
the graffitti yellow strat and the white tele just says jeff beck........ and hot rods !
They seem so lifeless now.

Would you dare change the strings?
Nice fat neck profiles on those Fenders...on all of them.
Came here for the infamous TeleGib at 6:34

@@garyrouleau4676I was able to play that guitar the other day. I’m going to post my own video next week…gotta edit it down -P
Will his car collection be auctioned too ?
Don't even look at it!
😂😂😂😂 good one!!
We all we know that the guitars go to business person , not a guitarrist lover :-(
seems a little quick
I will bid $1500
🙏🤞🙏
These will end up with some finance or tech bro who can barely fret an A chord.
Is nothing sacred? Smh
I feel sadness. These guitars shouldn't be hoarded by some rich guy. It just doesn't seem fitting.
Where did you learn to shoot video? Nausea Productions? Also passing by instruments, poor showing.
Greed😢
It's sad his greedy family's selling his all his shit 😮😢🤨
doesn't even know how to shoot a proper video??
