    I do a lot of gelcoat rvs, I use Restructure as a one step. After Restructure I jump to Hyperhold, best combo on the market.

    after buffing polishing and seal what can i use for maintenance im in miami fl
    second what product to use for issing glasses to remove scratch and put it clearly please

      Use Starke Replenish for maintenance. It’s a silica spray. You would have to polish out the isinglass with a da polisher to remove the scratches. Starke ignition and Adam’s microfiber pad

    Thanks so much!!! I have a 2000 Ranger bass boat. What products and steps would you recommend for ceramic coating and maintaining it.

    • @topdockpro
      @topdockpro  2 роки тому +1

      I have no idea what the condition of the boat is in. You have to at least run a compound and polish before you ceramic coat. All the oxidation needs to be free from the boat. Then once the coating is applied and cured, just wash it with a ph balanced soap. Starke Replenish is optional every month if you’d like more water beads and a little extra protection.

    Dawn soap is a stripper, do not use on boats unless you are planning to correct gel coat with cutting compounds and polish.

    Just wondering if you are in Salt water should you dry off your boat if you can't rinse it off first.

    • @topdockpro

      Never dry your boat without rinsing first! The salt can scratch the gelcoat / paint as you proceed to dry

    Do you have a favorite topper to maintain polymer sealant? Also will ceramic coating hold up in areas where the fenders rub on a boat in the water full time?

    • @topdockpro
      @topdockpro  3 роки тому +3

      Yes, my favorite topper for a polymer sealant currently is Starke Replenish. Ceramic coating will hold up much longer than anything else you can put on your boat because of the super strong bond. It will hold up for a while and last longer than any wax or sealant. It typically takes me 3-4 rounds of heavy compound to buff off a professional grade ceramic coating.

      @@topdockpro can you tell me what you use to maintain it once you put it on. Like on a day-to-day basis when you take it out of the water to clean off the spots. And what compound do you use to remove everything before putting on the product?

      Also can you recommend a good non skid sealer? I will have to check out that starke pure clean soap. I've been using nauitcal 1 ceramic wash and wax to help boost the hyperho;ld because it contains sio2. does the pure clean have any si02?

    • @topdockpro
      @topdockpro  3 роки тому +1

      I haven’t found any great nonskid sealers so I typically just ceramic coat nonskid. Starke Pure Clean soap does NOT contain SiO2. It’s a ph balanced soap. Starke Replenish however does contain SiO2 and can be used on top of hyper hold.

    Hey Simon, If you start with Level R , then use with Hyper sealant. Do you still use your ceramic coatings afterwards? Regards Tim, Australia.

    • @topdockpro
      @topdockpro  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Tim. NEVER apply both. It’s one or the other. Ceramic coatings will not bond to hyper hold. Use level R, then preferably follow up with Elevate (the medium cut compound, not mentioned in the video) before deciding to use a sealant or ceramic coating.

    • @MRVICCHOPPER

      Hi Simon appreciate your responses. So when would you choose to finish with Hyper Sealant rather than ceramic coatings or vice versa.

    • @topdockpro
      @topdockpro  3 роки тому +1

      @@MRVICCHOPPER cermaic coating is a lot of work and it’s important to be educated. That choice is up to you. Hyper Hold is easy to apply and will last 6 months and ceramic coating 12-24 months.

    • @topdockpro

    • @ChampaBayBeast
      @ChampaBayBeast 3 роки тому

      @@topdockpro You really should try it after elevate and R to make it a 3 step compound process. You'll find a way better look. Ignition also has a sealant in it as it removes swirls. Then you can seal it again for a ridiculous look. We do it all day here in the Tampa Bay area.
