I never thought Mitsuo was too hard, he just takes a stupid-long time if you've only done normal "grinding" rather than being at a challenge-run-level, uh, level.
The Mitsuo boss fight is partly difficult bwcause he deals heavy allmighty damage, uses ailments and rebuilds his shell. These of course don't affect a no damage run, especially if you are overlevelled and can stop him from rebuilding his shell. It actually makes sense he was the easiest boss fight.
Mitsuo's dificulty spike is more because he has a lot of HP and no weaknesses making the battle a test of endurance. Most people are not level 91 at this point in the game or have access to all -dyne spells.
@@TheBlackSeraph the boss itself dpes not have a lot of hp though. If your damage output is just large enough to not let him rebuild his shell, its's over in like 10-15 turns.
That is way more damage than I expected you to be able to do at this point in the game. Shame you won't be able to use Yoshitsune. Blitzing bosses down with Hassau Tobi never gets old.
The part with nanakos kidnapping along with the ending of p3 are the 2 most gut wrenching scenes in the series. Every time i think about them i get shivers
Mitsuo's dungeon was really neat, I really enjoyed the old school game look and the Final Fantasy reference when he was choosing skills on his boss fight, not to mention the music for it really sold it's uniqueness to the rest of the game. Persona 5 did have a callback to Persona 4 (which I missed since I did not play P3 & 4 before 5. @@katzkinder7031 - At least Kanji being bi is a headcanon that still makes sense, even when considering his entire story and viewing it from different angles. As opposed to Naoto being trans, which require a cherry-picked and one-dimensional view. And people on both sides love to forget that these characters are teenagers, who are undergoing a life-altering experience that's causing them to reconsider who they truly are. It makes sense for Kanji to wonder who he's truly attracted to, and Naoto to explore how she needs and wants to present herself. Everything about them is in flux, and it's cruel to assume that they'll remain unchanged even into adulthood. Which is exactly what the assumption of Naoto being trans is, since HRT and GRS are permanent procedures, which aren't to be taken lightly. Personally, I headcanon Kanji as growing up to be furiously bisexual, wandering around the Kinsey Scale as the mood strikes him instead of worrying about society's labels. And Naoto being a physically strong and self-confident woman, taking on masculine traits without worrying about the assumptions that come with them.
I was so under leveled when i got too Mitsuo on Very Hard that the only strat i could come up with to get through this fight in a reasonable amount of time was to reflect the bosses own ridiculously scaleing (because of my low lvl) Mafula attacks back at him(because assuming i break the wall they will hit him just as hard as they would have hit me). I only had access too Makarakarn on Yu and Naoto so i could only get up 2 reflects per round without using rare consumables but since the boss telegraphs what element he's going to be spamming during his baby phase, it matches the element of the wall he puts up on his first round as a baby, that was enough to work with. I'd put Makarakarn on Naoto and my rezzer/healer on the first round and then have Yu switch to a persona that reflects the element the boss telegraphed. Since the persona that cast Makarakarn on the first round was faster than the boss and the boss won't use any attack on the first round of his pattern i could always have 3 magic reflects ready before the boss could decide to use a Mafula spell. For keeping the 4th party member alive i had the fact that the boss had a 50% chance of choosing an element that 1 of my party members can nullify and on the rounds he didn't pick that i'd use a magic mirror. Had enough of those to use occasionally on 1 party member but not enough to spam them on everyone the whole fight. Mitsuo shredded himself pretty quickly on all those reflects even on the rounds that i couldn't break the element that he decided to put a shield up for at the start of his pattern.
