My dad flew in to Oshkosh a few times back in the 80s. He racked up a lot of time in the 70s and 80s but has not been current since the 90s. It has always been on my bucketlist to fly into Oshkosh with my dad. My goal is to make it happen for 2017.

Very nice! I like to fly the Mooney on MS Flight Sim. I know it's sounds pathetic but it's still something... LOL! Thanks Josh for what you do for us "arm chair" pilots!

I had the privilege of going there this year too! It was absolutely amazing. In case you were wondering why it was so busy this year, Sunday had bad weather. Lots of planes were going off to alternate airports. All those planes, plus the ones that were planning to come in on Monday, made it busier than normal.
Great memories with Dad! Good job on the flying and the video. Almost makes me miss my 201. I definitely miss the fuel flows.

Next year you should join us in the Mooney Caravan. We came in with 41 planes this year in formation, and we don't have to deal with Fisk. It's a ton of fun, a really great safe and easy way in with guaranteed camping space, and the best part is the people. It's a really great group with all sorts of activities, meals, etc. This year was my first OSH, and it was awesome. Being part of a huge group of awesome people made it so much more fun than the show alone though.
Seeing you fly with your father into Oshkosh puts a physical warm feeling in my heart. I can't wait for the day to be able to share the aviation experiences I have had with my family.

I was on the move the whole time! Brought my dad for the first time, so I was his tour guide. Where were you? Did you have a booth?

...Steve, was great to finally meet you in person. Flew in on Thursday Ripon, Fisk approach to runway niner. Tie down-GAP. Not sure bout the camping deal but may give it a try next year if the wx holds up. Landed minutes before the show started @ 1430. Ceiling was overcast barely @ 1800MSL

your dads reaction in the intro was the same reaction I had when I drove there when I was about 10 (6 years ago!!). I wanted to come meet you but I couldn't find the time lol.

I got to take my 11 year old daughter this year for our first trip to Airventure! What a great time we had! But had to camp at Fond du Lac. So badly wanted to get in to OSH. Maybe next year!

I flew in on Monday and it was closed to all but camping as of 4:30am. Amazing crowd this year. Sadly, Most left before this weekend.
I was eating in the A&W area right next to you. I knew I should of said something, wasn't for sure if it was you or not. I was there with my Dad and my two boys.. Our first time at Oshkosh and LOVED IT!!!! Cant wait until next year. Happy Flying!

I was there Thursday thru Sunday morning with a regional airline. I would have said hello had I known you were there!
I remember you guys arriving at Oshkosh as I was marshalling you in at the north point of taxi P1. It is not in the video, but I am sure if you look at the raw footage you will see it :-) Great video!

I've been to the EAA a couple times. But the last several years, my job has taken priority. Maybe one of these years, I could meet you. It would be quite neat! I can't imagine what the ATC deals with when this happens every year - both on Approach and Departure.

Don't mean to sound negative but following you and several others watching these videos in order. The only flying videos that give me a headache or stress are these Oshkosh ones. It seems to be the total opposite of the purpose of flying. Or the closest thing GA has to commercial which well, certainly tests your skills, that's for sure.
