We first saw TOP in Cleveland Ohio at the Agora when they just released East Bay grease. No one knew them, there were maybe 20 people in the audience. The next time they came back to Cleveland you couldn't get into the club. One of the greatest groups of all time and should be in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. They are real musicians and have "Soul with a capital S." 🎼🥁🎷🎺🎲
Man !!! Unreal all the people that came n gone n passed and still playing talking about believein in there MUSIC there stands the test of TIME 50 yrs playing.
These guys are the treasure of this country.

All I can say is that Tower of Power just isn't Tower of Power without David Garibaldi on drums. I never once saw him solo. He didn't need to. He had chops like very few others I have seen live, and in my 62 years I have seen many play live.
Echo that....Senior brother. These days, Bruno Mars....Ok but not a TOP,they established funk greatness.

Ummmm....one tiny disagreement here - Jerry is good - damn good - BUT he's not the "best they ever had" in my opinion. Bruce Conte holds that title. ... shared with Willie Fulton , before him . All the guitarists - from Carmen Grillo, to Jeff Tamelier to Mark Harper, have been good - but Conte is the G.O.A.T. Again...in my opinion.

Warren Morphis I agree totally. Bruce had the juice. Lenny White owns the vocal chair, Lenny Pickett best tenor player and Chester Thompson is the organ master of the Tower.
