Great team racing there Stu! Can’t believe you lost your watch 😮 … not a cheap replacement. You’ll have to invest in a padlock watch strap next time you race open water. I took my camera out a few times when I swam and got so paranoid that I invested in a floating selfie stick… never dropped it once 😂
It's so good to race and have a laugh with team mates. No pressure just lots of fun. One of my favourite races of the year. I'm not sure how you picked up on the watch. I hardly mentioned it 🤔😜🤣🤣🤣 First time it's ever happened to me in all these years 🙈
Thanks captain. Thank you for organising us and thank you for lending me the watch to run. Really helped. We smashed it 💪 I think we need an extra trophy at the awards night. Relay winners 🏆 👏
Great video- thanks to you and Jenna for capturing and sharing the organised chaos! I remember seeing this last year, so I must have been following you for at least a year now! Shame about the watch, I’m sure it wasn’t a deliberate ploy to land a massive Garmin sponsorship deal but it could work out 🤔. Seriously, keep producing the content, it’s great 👍🏻
I'd like a garmin deal but I don't think they would be interested in me 🤣🤣 Thank you to listening to me waffle on for the last year. I absolutely appreciate it 👌
Well done for the race, the explanation of the chaos and the team camaraderie.... Really unlucky to lose your watch.. that makes me glad I'm too tight to buy the fancy ones, get yourself a second hand 735xt.. sub£100 😉👍
Hopefully we sort of helped it make sense 🤣🤣 Yeh it's unlucky with the watch. Was 20 mtrs before the finish and I just felt it ping of. I did stop to look for it hence the slow swim time but couldn't see it with others swimming over the top 🙈
It was unbelievably wet and soggy for an August summer day 🙈 And that just made it feel colder than it actually was. Let's hopes it's warmer next year 👍
That was a long video Stu, good though, watched it in 3 chunks! Firstly, I'm so sorry to hear about your watch, if I win (significantly) at Euromillions tonight, I will (truly) get you a replacement! Then the GoPro bracket, what the??? And the weather...well done for getting it done, I think I'd find it really confusing (as did the swimmer who went East instead of North) so a basic sprint would be fine for me again. Well done Jenna for getting soaked and creating some very good commentary! Your watch thing reminds me of a bike incident on the track at Oulton Park. Guy ran wide approaching Cascades and pushed me off the track at 70-80 mph, stayed on but bike was a mess. Never tracked him down....grrr
Well that's to commiting to watching it all. I appreciate that. It was a wet and soggy day but should a fun event to race with club mates. I also need to win that lottery. I have so many other things to buy 👌
@ i just prefer to watch a whole video, especially if there’s lots of things going on, and talking to camer/commentary etc. I didn’t win Euromillions sadly☹️
Great video Stu and Jen. A great account of the morning. Sorry about the watch! You made a great job of catching me puking at the end of the run, but I appreciated the company and the shoulder massage later! 😅
Definitely the correct title for the vlog. These are the best kinda races. Team racing at its best. Friendly rivalry, banter, and a good, hard, honest race. Did you lose anything? I wasn't too sure, lol. I got some spare bike gopro mounts you can have lol
Absolute chaos Stu and terrible luck mate. If it’s any consolation it was a great video and you all did brilliantly in those conditions. Kudos to Jenna for waiting through the rain. Hope the Achilles is behaving.
It's proper chaotic and the weather didn't make it any easier that's for sure. The achilles seems to slowly becoming better. Bit more rest and hopefully I can get rid of the niggle 👌
Phew what chaos - made air worse with the split swim/bike transition. A good few years since I did that event. You don’t expect that weather mid-August either😢. Good skills from Jenna supporting and filming! How’s the Achilles after the run? 22:30 split is great
To be honest, the achilles didn't feel to bad. It was a bit sore the day after but it seems to have settled down again. Yeh happy with that time considering the lack of running. Hopefully we can start to log some running miles again soon 👌
Yeh proper gutted about my watch. 🙈🤣 In all the years I've been racing it's never happened before. Really strange one. Great event though, just a bit of carnage.
I think rugby tri raced in the afternoon so had the better of the weather. I would definitely recommend giving it a go next year. It's a good laugh with no actually racing pressure 👌
This was my first national relays and my first open water swim, I have a major fish phobia so genuinely thought my team mate would have to sub my leg but did it! I can see me looking anxious in the white wave waiting for my team mate! Was drier in the water than on the bike to be honest haha! It was great fun though and a good way of getting to know my tri club more!
Wow that is amazing. To do that as your first open water swim is mega. It was carnage, you could hardly swim with people swimming on top of you 🙈 Massive respect to you for sure 💪 Was a mega day, glad you enjoyed it 👌
Great video matey. Gutted I was on holiday to miss that weather 😮 How do you get around using GoPro on the event bike? Hope ya get watch back buddy and btw. Its Pont not not Point 😊 X Keep up the good work ❤
Triathlon relay is absolutely class. On TV it is super exciting. Well done on the club battle. Great video!
On TV it looks a bit smoother when the pro's do it 🤣🤣 Not quite the carnage that we make it 🙈
@@SwimBikeRunStu love a bit of carnage. Especially at a tri.

Brilliant video Stu and Jenna! Really captured the day, which was great fun. And our team ‘won’ lol!!! 💪🏻👏🏻

Congratulations to you and your teams! Definitely looks like a circus and the weather doesn't help. I'm exhausted from watching 😉.
Yeh the weather didn't help at all. Made it all a bit awkward 🙈 But it's all good fun. It's a bit wild but we all have a good time.
Absolutely crazy scenes 😅😅 You werent wrong about the chaos 🤣Sorry to hear about the tech 🪦
I'm still gutted about the watch. I feel lost with out it 🙈 Went for a run last night and it just felt weird for some reason 🙄

Nice team work Stu , well done to you all . Shame about the watch see if garmin will replace it
It's always great to race as part of a team. Usually triathlon is such an individual thing that it's nice to share it with others 👌
Absolutely loving the carnage of this (and the culture you spots have). Although a relay takes away my strength which was transition 🤣
You still have transitions. They are just really long 🤣🤣 You can always join the fun next year 😜
@@SwimBikeRunStu haha. No bike and I swim like a brick with my shoulder 🤣
What a fun, if slightly manic and soggy day. Excellent video again guys. Hopefully you don't have to wait until Christmas to get a new watch! 😅

In the moment I didn't actually see you puke but so glad I caught it on camera 🤣🤣 Putting some effort in there 💪👌

Race looks like a ton of fun unless you’re one of your electronics😂. I just had to buy a new watch because mine died so I feel your pain.

I always say it wrong to be fair. Jenna always reminds me 🤣🤣 With the go pro I just whack it on, no one has ever challenged it yet 🤔
Not sure but i believe you lost a watch?
Tbh I would have reacted exactly the same
I feel like I hardly mentioned it 🤣🤣 I was and am telling everyone with ears 😅😅 I'm still not happy now. 🙈 So lost without it 🤔
