Just wanted to let everyone know that my comment about Gill Hammerstein's voice is incorrect: Nolan North DID voice Gill in the PC version of the game. Typically when I record audio I record 2 different versions of the same fact when I'm unsure of something and then go back and fact check it later. Unfortunately while I did fact check this, I kept the wrong line and thus included the incorrect statement. I won't be reuploading this video to correct that one mistake so hopefully this pinned comment covers it. Sorry about that!
To answer your question about multiple versions of characters: Multiverse. Also the director version of Squidward has a different name and his method as his assistant puts it are QUESTIONABLE 😂
NGL, was pretty cool to wake up today and get told that I got a shoutout. But there was another error. I'm not the one who found the Truth or Square levels, that was EnergyDrink. I just recorded the footage.
Lights, Camera, Pants has such a special place in my heart. I'm an only child and was super into videogames as a kid, and my mom who has a physical disability would usually just watch me play videogames. Lights Camera Pants was one of the very few games we were actually able to play together due to the short minigame style and mechanics. She actually used to practice when I was at school so that we could beat our times so that I didnt have to play only with AI :'')
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die". BUT, mercy said "I dont want to give them what they deserve. I don't want them to be cut off from Me. I love them despite all they have done/will do against Me. I want to give My children another chance. I want them to come home and live in My love again". And love said "Jesus, God's Son, came down as a Man, our representative, suffering every temptation, pain and struggle we have ever faced, yet without sin. He took all our sins (past/present/ even future) to the cross and then crucified EVERY ONE on our behalf. Justice was paid on the cross so that we can be free from Hell's punishment, experience Gods mercy of forgiveness of sin and live in His love. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (turn away from our sin and pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to obey His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, or struggling or doubtful, simply be honest and tell Him that. He is not intimidated by ANY sin or struggle you are facing. ANY. He hears and will answer. If we pray for Him to come in, regardless of the condition, then He will. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. If you have any questions let me know X

26:50 I remember this being my first SpongeBob game that I've ever played. I used to love it so much that I replayed it like almost throughout of my early elementary years. Looking back at it, takes me back.. I'm glad someone else enjoyed this.
Straight up the most horrifying thing in that game. But to be honest, after rewatching Spongebob The Movie, it fits in surprisingly well with the unsettling sequences the franchise sometimes has. 🤣
I played so much of the DS version of Atlantis Squarepantis as a kid! It's probably the best way to experience the special, especially since you get the bonus temple area in the middle of the game. So glad you enjoyed it as well!
The reason for the creepy close-ups in Cosmic Shake is because they did that sort of thing in many episodes of the show. Y'know like "Does this look UNSURE to you?!", and "MOAR".
The cosmic shake does explain why we are saving these characters in the stages, these stages are their wish with the jelly, Sandy being an action Movie Star, Krabs stealing all the Money from a Cowboy era, Squidward art being appreciated by someone who could be impressed, Gary eating endlessly. Jelly bring the wishes to life.
"Battle of Bikini Bottom (PC)" was my first ever Spongebob Game and I absolutely adored it. I know it's really janky, but as a kid I couldn't care less. I just played and played until I got good enough to nail the timing of the weird jumps without fail. Honestly I think it's part of the reason why I love challenging games like "Hollow Knight" now 😅😂
Same 😭 I was so confused when I only found the other Battle for Bikini Bottom being talked about online. I loved the PC Version with all my heart as a kid!

5:05:55 I think that's kinda of the point. This IS Spongebob Squarepants we are talking about, That Sea Sponge is quite extremely Gullible and Naïve at times so it's natural to have him and Patrick be fooled by a Evil Fortune Teller into helping her take over the universe because they are too stupid to figure it out.
Nice to see Shadow back! Hope this video gains wide exposure so your channel can grow more. It would be great after your mental health break. I'll be sure to enjoy this video in full myself when I have the time.
Really cool video to watch and learn about how all these games worked! I distinctly remember playing Battle for Bikini Bottom on PC and that’s what piqued my interest to find out if there was a video on it, so as shitty as the game was it was still cool to at least know it existed LOL My all time favorite game was the Spongebob movie game tho, it was the only really Spongebob game I had for my GameCube so I replayed it a bunch of times. Fun fact about the movie game: in the NA region it released BEFORE the actual movie was released. Like a full MONTH before, and that’s probably why we only got still images and slideshows instead of actual movie animations.
5:14:35 clarifcation: these horrible closeup scenes originated from the show. i had no idea this type of frame had even made it into this game until now.
I must say that this was a fun video to watch it was worth the long timestamp but now it makes me want to see review every Simpsons video game if it is possible for you to do?
I will say one thing about Creature from the Krusty Krab is that it has one an evolving OST. For some of the platforming, there are tracks labeled Idle, Normal, and Battle. Some of the tracks are really good and I can say it's the most memorable part of the game for me.
37:44 is a perfect example of social engineering! This is due to the fact this actually works in the real world! If you just look like you belong, or need to fix something, you can get into near ANYWHERE. I only point this out because you're so baffled, but this is a REAL thing people do and it's just as BAFFLING that it works!

This is a video I never knew how badly I needed to watch until it hit my sub box (I loved so many SpongeBob video games)
This was definently an amazing video to watch! Also did you decide at the last minute to not include the Nicktoons games? In some regions like the Netherlands for example they marketed as a Spongebob game as well. For example Nicktoons Unite over here is called Spongebob en zijn vrienden samen staan ze sterk. (Which directly translates to Spongebob and his friends together they are strong!)
2:10:59 Oh man, you would HATE Danganronpa. The "boss battles" in the main games are all rhythm based. In what is otherwise a mystery game akin to Phoenix Wright.
I absolutely love this video. I wanted to share that the 3D animation for the first few games reminds me so much of the animations for the Hoodwinked movies and I cannot unsee Boingo in SpongeBob’s face
I thought of this the other day but the reward for getting all golden spatulas in Rehydrated should have unlocked a new area where you fight Robot Squidward.
Watching this over the past couple of days has really invigorated me on SpongeBob games. Now I really wanna play some more. I already did some drawing of a Truth or Square robot, and I’ve been writing down reimagining ideas for poorly received stuff like Atlantis SquarePantis’ console version.
There is a spongebob game on my old vtec console that i replayed with my little brother and he loved it and i loved sharing a little piece of my childhood with him too
I am nowhere close to finishing this video, I’m at 5:42 right now. And so far this is great. I do plan to watch your other videos. But one thing that baffles me is the fact that you only have 30.4K subscribers? With content like this?! So underrated dude. Keep doing what you love!
This was a surprisingly in depth video on SpongeBob video games. I dont know, there's just something about learning about things from my childhood that i didnt get to experience, especially video games. They feel nostalgic despite not experiencing these games for myself aside from the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game on pc (which i only played recently)
*inserts coin for the algorithm toll.* Oh boy your backyard base ball video helped pass so much time during one of my work shifts. I cant wait to hear your opinions here.
Was kind of disappointed to not see the plug and play Jellyfish Dodge game. It was a favorite of mine growing up. However, I loved being introduced to all of these new titles, many of which I’ve never heard of. Thank you for compiling these and welcome back :)
Just an incredible video. I too at one point thought of reviewing every SpongeBob game. Since SpongeBob is so near and dear to my heart. But I simply never had the time. But now I see I was never meant to because there would have been no way I would have been able to make a video even a quarter as good as the video you've made here. Your dedication to even the smallest of details in each of these games is truly remarkable and I even found myself learning about some SpongeBob games that I had never heard of. There were even times where I swore you just made a game up, but of course I knew this wasn't the case, there just truly were this many SpongeBob games. Just all in all from 1 pretty die-hard SpongeBob fan to another, thank you for this video. A clear love letter to both SpongeBob games and to the franchise of SpongeBob overall. A video I will return to time and again and share with other dedicated SpongeBob fans.
the spongebob movie game for pc was such a banger game, i have memories of playing it for so long and stumbling through the stuff trying to figure out what to do despite already having played through it thanks for reanimating my nostalgia from when i was a little kid banger video
Amazing video! Thank you for putting in the time and effort into making this long video. As for future projects, I would recommend the games from JumpStart and The Learning Company. Those games were a memorable part of my childhood along with these Spongebob games and the Humongous Entertainment games.
Hasn't SpongeBob always had close up / gross out gags? Either way, considering there an a gallery in game for all the paintings / close up gags, it would be pretty hard to patch it out
operation krabby patty is killing me im sorry why does patrick look like a club penguin with a gun 😭 fantastic vid to have on before bed tho i like putting on long form content to sleep and ive been huge on spongebob since i was born, first cartoon i ever watched
battle for bikini bottom, the movie game, cosmic shake, creature from the krusty krab and lights camera pants are all my favorite spongebob games they will always be the best
It's good to see you back, as I sure did miss your content. As for what series of games based on a cartoon to cover, the only other series I can think of with that many games is The Simpsons, and that hasn't had a proper video game since 2007.
I’m not super partial to Battle for Bikini Bottom personally, though I think it’s a plenty solid platformer on its own merits, but I think Cosmic Shake is genuinely among the great 3D platformers of this era. Just about as good as anything else with name recognition, I thought that game was rad from front to back. I haven’t played any of the rest, but one of my goals watching this was to figure out if I wanted to play Truth or Square and I think I’m on board. Your 3D Sonic analogy makes me think I should really give the movie game a go too. Fun video, just as with the Backyard series one!
The fact they animated all those cutscenes from the typing game like episodes of the show is dedication. It looks a tad off at points but mostly like watching an Ep of the show. Some of the 3D games have more visually impressive looks but still, they took what could've just been a typing simulator and made it like a full-on, new Spongebob episode.
You are probably the first reviwer i've seen that acknowledges the PC version of the Movie game. As I loved the point and click style of Employee, I LOVED this version and grew up with it but no one even knows it exists, everyone who reviews the game talks solely on the PS2 version. So...Thank you!
I grew up playing SuperSponge and I have to say even watching the playthrough gave me horrible flashbacks of being so angry at how horribly difficult it felt 😤😭
As someone who ALSO cannot draw to save their life, I'm happy to say that SpongeBob drawn to life was one of my favorite ds games, glad you talked about it. I tried really hard to draw and failed :(
SpongeBob monopoly was a family favorite for game night for me growing up. I had NO idea there was a digital version for it and the game of life until now. BFBB was obviously the game I remember the most. I had movie as well, but I got stuck on it in my Childhood and I only beat it a few years ago after dusting out my old PS2 collection.
1:36:34 I can actually give an answer on this. Nickelodeon was afraid people wouldn’t see the movie if they saw animated parts in the game. They thought people just wouldn’t see the movie because they would have gotten the experience otherwise
Also I do indeed find it UTTERLY ridiculous that the ONLY two games of all 52 main titles here that feature Pearl were the first one and the latest one!
I'll never forget playing Employee of the Month 5 million times even though I knew what was going to happen. Idk why but it seemed fun to just repeatedly beat the game for some reason back then. Another memory that I can't forget is coming home from elementary school and seeing my ps1 setup on the table and Spongebob SuperSponge waiting for me to dive in. It was odd even back then but I tried my best to enjoy it and get some fun out of it back then.
IDC what everyone says, the flying Dutchman game is a solid 10 for me. It's such an expansive fun game, I love love love being able to explore bikini bottom semi openly, like as a kid getting to walk in the world you see in the show was so amazing. I had tons of fun with it too and probably replayed it like...10 times or more, still would gladly play it again today.
Your opinion on revenge of the Flying Dutchman is your own lol, that game has so many memories for me and I don’t see anything wrong with it, and I currently own a copy!
It’s funny. I saw your channel due to your Humongous video which was great, love it! But after that I watch Scott the Woz’s Childhood Games video which had a significant amount of its time focusing on SpongeBob games. I didn’t think about it when I first saw you made this video. But now…
2:11:00 When you speak of boss fights being a mandatory rhythm section instead of a real boss fight, this reminded me of the Puss in Boots boss fight from Shrek 2. That section of the game took me so long to beat. I do remember being pretty satisfied with myself once I did, though.
given how many of the earlier games had jellyfishing as either a main mechanic or a side thing, its a shame no one was ever ambitious enough to try an ape escape-type game with a spongebob theme. i could see it working well even if it would ultimately just boil down to being another collectathon

For example Nicktoons Unite over here is called Spongebob en zijn vrienden samen staan ze sterk. (Which directly translates to Spongebob and his friends together they are strong!)
Good to see you back man, what a treat! Thanks for your hard work on this one.
This is what I listened to today at work 😂 perfect for all the menial tasks I gotta do
Welcome back, Shadow Streak! I've been binging your videos for a while, it's awesome to see you return!
Thanks for the warm welcome! It's good to be back!
That would've been infinitely better than what we got
im glad i finally found “employee of the month” several years after ive first played it as a kid. i knew i’d come across it again someday
You inspired me to make a every Mario rpg game review for my 10 year anniversary
Watching this over the past couple of days has really invigorated me on SpongeBob games. Now I really wanna play some more. I already did some drawing of a Truth or Square robot, and I’ve been writing down reimagining ideas for poorly received stuff like Atlantis SquarePantis’ console version.
There is a spongebob game on my old vtec console that i replayed with my little brother and he loved it and i loved sharing a little piece of my childhood with him too
Glad to see that you're back-- and with a mammoth project too! So long as you're creating, I'll be watching.
24:03 Guess Jaiden Animations was right when she talked about hating the level as a kid
*The **-Powerpuff-** King has return*
Hi!!! Long time no see!
I can absolutely confirm the sandy tree dome vertical map made me cry like a mf
*inserts coin for the algorithm toll.*
Oh boy your backyard base ball video helped pass so much time during one of my work shifts.
I gave this video 5 hours of my like and I am not in the least bit disappointed. The nostalgia trip was worth every moment
It’s good to see you again, Shadow!
And this video was worth the wait!
I actually ended up getting the SpongeBob SquarePants movie video game for Christmas before I even saw the actual movie.
Really was a pleasant (and looong) surprise seeing this on my feed, happy to see you again and cant wait for next time :]
A video I will return to time and again and share with other dedicated SpongeBob fans.
the spongebob movie game for pc was such a banger game, i have memories of playing it for so long and stumbling through the stuff trying to figure out what to do despite already having played through it
thanks for reanimating my nostalgia from when i was a little kid
banger video
8:40 Intriguing that the Golden Spatulas began this far back honestly. Even were Dutchman tied!
that green flash from plankton hurts my eyes like crazy (creatures of the krusty krab)
Welcome back Shadow! So glad to have you back. 5 hours? Bless your heart. No wonder this took a long time.
Either way, considering there an a gallery in game for all the paintings / close up gags, it would be pretty hard to patch it out
Well yes you are correct
That's more of a CH Greenblatt thing. He directed a lot of early episodes of SpongeBob, but it's in his other work too.
operation krabby patty is killing me im sorry why does patrick look like a club penguin with a gun 😭
fantastic vid to have on before bed tho i like putting on long form content to sleep and ive been huge on spongebob since i was born, first cartoon i ever watched
Nice to see you again, Shadow Streak! It’s cool to see you cover all of these games in the same vein of the Humongous Entertainment games.
Yeah I enjoyed making this one a lot! There were a few frustrations as one could expect with any project but I think it'll be worth it!
used to play that typing game at the library when they had educational game computers
this is missing the leapfrog games :(
battle for bikini bottom, the movie game, cosmic shake, creature from the krusty krab and lights camera pants are all my favorite spongebob games they will always be the best
It's good to see you back, as I sure did miss your content. As for what series of games based on a cartoon to cover, the only other series I can think of with that many games is The Simpsons, and that hasn't had a proper video game since 2007.
Spinkledork spungcok
Edit:your dad is a real one
I’m not super partial to Battle for Bikini Bottom personally, though I think it’s a plenty solid platformer on its own merits, but I think Cosmic Shake is genuinely among the great 3D platformers of this era. Just about as good as anything else with name recognition, I thought that game was rad from front to back. I haven’t played any of the rest, but one of my goals watching this was to figure out if I wanted to play Truth or Square and I think I’m on board. Your 3D Sonic analogy makes me think I should really give the movie game a go too. Fun video, just as with the Backyard series one!
your efforts for this video are seen and appreciated and I hope you got your money's worth for it (I haven't even watched it yet)
Thank you for the kind words!
good to have you back on youtube making videos again shadow :)
Glad to be back!
This better have the vtech vsmile "A day in the life of a sponge" so help me god
Well well looks like i found a good way to spend the Friday night.
tak and the juju power hour nostalgia during the intro [yes name aint correct]
great video, timeless
Dude I have been trying to find the employee of the month game for years now, as I remembered it so fondly from my childhood. Thank you so much
58:32
That’s a dad of the year moment.
It’s a pretty cool game 😅
Best video on UA-cam.
They thought people just wouldn’t see the movie because they would have gotten the experience otherwise
diner dash was the goat on my old phone back in 2017
Also I do indeed find it UTTERLY ridiculous that the ONLY two games of all 52 main titles here that feature Pearl were the first one and the latest one!
Same I had it for GameCube. I also had the SpongeBob movie game. Never beat the movie game but flydutchman I played many times.
@@Samson-yl1jx I had the flying Dutchman and lights camera pants; beat both a bunch of times. I honestly wanna play it again. (Also for GameCube)
@@benamisai-kham5892 I remember in flying Dutchman being stuck at the final boss. Had to start a new game to 100%
@@Samson-yl1jx I think that also happened to me the first time LOL
The Yellow Avenger was my childhood
I would like to see you do all the Ben 10 games in this format as well as TMNT.
Bro when I was a kid I never could’ve done that guitar hero part at all😭1:50:26
That size doesn’t matter joke was crazy obvious I can’t believe that made it into the game LOL
But now…
Where do you get that animated wallpaper from Conch Street (Spongebobs street)? 5:20
Even if we don't know when the next video is, welcome back regardless, Shadow!
finally, something to watch while i eat my dinner
2:11:00 When you speak of boss fights being a mandatory rhythm section instead of a real boss fight, this reminded me of the Puss in Boots boss fight from Shrek 2. That section of the game took me so long to beat. I do remember being pretty satisfied with myself once I did, though.
Happy to see you back Shadow Streak!
Can we mention how fricking good the writing of the jokes is in SpongeBob SquarePants Typing
Feels like directly out of the show
I really just played powerwash simualtor while watching this video for 4 hours straight. Now when i play that game ill always think of this video
given how many of the earlier games had jellyfishing as either a main mechanic or a side thing, its a shame no one was ever ambitious enough to try an ape escape-type game with a spongebob theme. i could see it working well even if it would ultimately just boil down to being another collectathon
I LOVED every special he talks bad about in the video lmao. Even as a kid I thought the Atlantis special was so cool, and Patchy was the best!!!
