I just can’t believe that anyone would have negative things to say about your videos. I can only imagine that it’s jealousy on their end. I love your family, life style, decor & your ambition. I wish there would have been UA-cam when I was your age. ❤️

On YT negative comments are inevitable, no matter who you are, which is really unfortunate for those who enjoy you. You are genuine, and I love that you allow your beautiful children to be kids, climbing trees, jumping in mud, etc., without freaking out. Love your videos.

It's really terrible that we have to live today worrying about what everyone thinks! If someone doesn't like what you do, then why don't they just not watch you? There is so much negativity in the world today! You keep on being yourself as you are a beautiful, gifted woman! Jealousy eats some people alive, but try to ignore it and stay positive as I look up to you & wish I could be as ambitious as you are! Take care.....

I was recently diagnosed with some difficult digestive issues. I’ve lost 30 pounds because of being unable to eat. Your channel is helping me to find organic products, such as what you can do with coconut. I can drink my coffee but no dairy I recently found a coconut creamer. I can’t tell you have exciting that is for me. Sorry long comment, but thank you, I’m learning a lot about organic and alternative things that I hope to be able to use.

Watching you putting on makeup with the constant flow of kiddos in and out brought back memories of my 5 children all grown and gone now, Lisa I know your life is non stop but take time each day just to look at your dear ones and treasure these moments 😌 it all is gone and done so fast ( even though when your in the midst of it you feel time stretching out forever)

You and your sweet little family are soooo precious! I really enjoy your channel.
So refreshing to see how naturally content your children play as they learn , share and explore
the world around them- with little to nil electronics to keep them entertained.
A throwback to the 60's and 70's...gentler times.
Great job mom and dad! ❤️

Another alternative for using eggs is German pancakes. It’s a 1:1 C flour and milk with a half dozen eggs. Put it in a casserole dish with a half a stick of melted butter on the bottom and cook at 350 F for 35-45 min depending on your oven. It’s really nice for a busy morning because prep time is so fast and the oven does the rest. It’s kind of like a denser higher protein pancake.

I actually just started experimenting with sourdough and decided to change it up this morning. Instead of just the milk and flour I added a 1/2 C of sourdough starter and did maybe 3/4 cup of milk instead of a cup and some salt. Turned out great!! I know how much you like to use sourdough in your cooking and figured I’d share it. I just found out you are in MO today. We just moved here in Sept!!

I admire your tenacity when putting your life and little family out there. In this day there is no shortage of negativity, and that’s sad. I thrive in your content. Videos like this give me so much joy, I always learn something new and I get to remember my kiddos when they were little! Letting children just run, play, and climb is wonderful. I feel like I’m there with you guys. The life you have chosen appears calm and easy to us but I know it’s a huge sacrifice and with that comes scrutiny and criticism. You go sweet lady! 💪🏻🙌🏻 I hope you keep your UA-cam channel, as I’m not a fan of Facebook. I do enjoy podcasts so I wish you the best in that venture! I just appreciate that you show that a life less dependent on the “norm” CAN be done, and I feel grateful to be taken along on the journey. ( Love that smiling itty-bitty next to your heart!) 👶🏼👩🏻‍🌾🥰

hey there, baby is soooo precious....may I suggest for storing your eggs for the winter, you may already know this, but I didn't know this and I grew up country. the channel is "homesteading family" and the topic is " water glassing eggs for winter".... ....fascinating. also I keep my butter in a sealed container even in the box. it keeps it from the butter picking up any smells. I use a zip lock bag and I understand that most won't use plastic, but in a casserole dish with a lid can help. I want my butter to taste like butter. I read somewhere that garlic and onion smell can penetrate the cardboard and paper wrapper.

I’d love to know how you get your kids to eat all the healthy things. My kids (4) would sooner starve themselves than eat some of the healthy stuff I cook. My 8 year old will only eat 1 veggie: carrots. 🙄 It’s a nightly battle. I’m not saying you have all the answers, but I’d Enjoy a video on how you approach it.

Growing up we could pick 2 things we wouldn't eat. The list was refreshed once a year... on January 1st. Anything else put in front of us we were expected to eat and if we choose not to eat it we didn't get anything else. When you get hungry enough you eat- that's just it. We didn't have much money for food but I love the fact that we were given at least alittle bit of a choice. As an adult there are some foods I completely despise and won't go near; I would expect the same is true for kiddos.

P.s. I really enjoy the monk fruit erythritol blend of natural sweetners. Closest to regular sugar I have found. Use it in baking as well.

  • @OurAmyableFarmhouse
    @OurAmyableFarmhouse 4 роки тому

Monk fruit yes! It’s what I use all the time in everything. It says to use in place of sugar 1:1 but I find it too much since our palettes are more sensitive (we don’t have to have things as sweet anymore) and because the monk fruit is actually an extract mixed with erythritol it tends to have that ‘bite-y’ aftertaste that comes with zero-calorie natural sweeteners, if that makes sense. For 1 cup sugar I’ll usually use 2/3 cup monk fruit. Glad you found it. It’s a wonderful product from what I can tell in all my research. ☺️

We love monk fruit and so does my NP.. We get the pure monk fruit that isn't mixed with erythritol (no bathroom issues that way🙂). We get the jars because the powder is so light that it's easier to scoop than pour. A 20 oz coffee takes about 1/8 tsp depending on the sweetness of powder you use and your taste preference. We've been using Smart Monk.

I'm a mom of 1,5 year old twins and we can barely find time to go on a datenight once a month! And when I'm away from my kids more nights than that I can feel guilty or selfish. While I obviously know that it makes me a happier mom and wife. So maybe my husband and I just need to make the time and go on datenights more often 😊

Here I am at 70, only raised on daughter that has 2 daughters. I really enjoy you. I love to watch you cook. Your love of feeding your family is wonderful and you really are a good cook. I think I smell the meat when you make something. Oh I am going to far. But to criticize you. I think people are jealous. And that is their way of dealing with life. I know. I am 70, oh well. My daughter is amazing. She also home schools. The girls are not 14 and 12. They live 1 1/2 hrs. away. You do what you need to do for you. But I enjoy you on U tube. Joyce

Love the monk fruit sweetener. Tastes like reg sugar and very good for blood sugar.

Thanks for making a day in the life video! Our outings with 8 kids have looked a lot like your visit to the park with Aldi's chips and simple food grabbed from the fridge. We live spontaneously and a simple grab and go lunch make it fun and easy! The point is getting out there in nature :) Looking forward to your convivial podcast!!

Hi Lisa. I looovve monk fruit. Just ate it this morning over my peaches. I bake my apple pie with it and nobody knows. They just love it. On a side note... my husband and I are getting ready to buy a 110 year old cottage. I have such wonderful plans for it. Someone redid it in the 80s and I have to come in and restore to original beauty. Yippie.

You curl your hair the same way I do, with a straightener. Love it!

I LOVE coconut sugar as a natural alternative. I know that the specific brand of monkfruit sweetner you picked up has erythritol in is which is an artificial sugar alcohol. It isn't terrible for you or anything but too much can cause gastric issues! love your videos, so inspiring!

I love that sweetener, but if you eat to much it can send you to the bathroom. I also find that if I add it to baked good's they don't come out the same ( flat). but the taste and texture is so close to reg sugar. I add it to ice tea and or any liquid.
