Very informative! I think most people have no idea all the work that bloggers/UA-camrs have to go through to make just one post or video. It was very interesting, thank you. 😊
I ALWAYS enjoy coming here to visit with you. I learn something EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Thank you so much for all of the effort that you put into this for us.
I love this type of video. As a visual learner who is striving to have a home business, your insight and transparency (whether spoken or filmed) is very valuable to me! Thank you🌻
Something I like to do with my basil in the summer is make pesto and then freeze it into cubes to use all year long! Sometimes I'll add a cube or two some marinara, or make a creamy pesto sauce for pasta, or add it to pizza. It's just so delicious and nice to have on hand! Another way we save basil is stack several leaves on top of each other, roll them up and then wrap in foil, place in container or bag and freeze. Then all you have to do is get one out, unwrap and chiffonade (while frozen) and add it to eggs or sauce, etc!
loved this video! It helped to see how you organize things to make sure the most important things get done and how to balance normal life with business. I would love to see more videos like this!
We raised our 4 kids in a town that has a huge lake. So swimming lessons are very important. I found that many of their school friends quit lesson once they could tread water in the deep end and started to the learn front crawl. I found that children would also be failing this class because the front crawl is more difficult, which is probably why so many kids quit their lessons. There is a false sense of capability levels given to people who can handle the deep end of a swimming pool. We would take our family into BC camping, and to mountain valley's with large lakes with tall rocky mountain cliffs. The older kids loved to jump off them into the water below. The waves on large lakes are hard for even the strongest swimmer. Even though my older kids had already completed all the swim levels, I still watch them like a hawk. As for my youngest, he had to stay in a life jacket when we'd take the older ones to the lake. He was even jumping off the cliffs too at age 4. Life jacket on all the time of course, even to play in the sand. We would go with friends so we had 7 kids altogether, and keeping tabs on younger ones can be distracted. So both my boys had to wear a life jacket at all times when they were little. Children and water is very scary, and having them get to the point of being experienced and strong swimmers helps moms be not so stressed out. Just a little. My 25 year old is in Nova Scotia right now and just sent me photos of the ocean and beach that he's at. And of course, my protective instincts kicked in. I reminded him that it's an ocean with currents. He's a prairie boy and not used to swimming in the ocean. Don't let your kids quit their lessons even when they get hard. Lakes are not like swimming pools and oceans are not like lakes.
100% The best lessons and life skill you could ever invest in. My mom couldn't swim but she insisted my brother and I went all the way through swim classes, beginner to lifesaving. No quitting, it wasn't an option. I grew up in Michigan where so many of us live right on the lake. Now when I travel to the ocean with the family I am confident but also really respectful of that water. I never worry about sharks because I am too concerned with making sure we all safe in the waves and currents, lol.
My husband is a prairie boy who grew up on the lovely calm and shallow Lake Winnipeg. I remind him all the time “that’s a river” “ that’s the ocean” “that may be a lake but look at those waves from the valley wind!” I taught him a lot about “lazy swimming” how to be more efficient and how to float as a muscular person. And we always have all our safety gear :)
I agree completely. We live on a lake and all of my kids learned to swim at a young age but then I signed them up for the local swim teams in summer. There they learned all the strokes and did them everyday. It was every weekday from about 8 to 11 and sometimes some local meets. The coaches were great and practices intensive. By the end of the summer my two oldest swam better than I ever did and the youngest wasn't far behind. We did this for about three years. I did still worry when we went to the ocean each summer. I grew up knowing the waves and tides, learned to swim in the ocean, they hadn't. Despite the fact that by then they were better swimmers than I was I still watched them like an eagle when they were in the water, ready to run in st the drop of a hat. They were teenagers by then and really didn't appreciate my concern but they did listen when I went in and checked the undertow, the current, where it was pulling, etc. It's fun watching them now teaching their kids to swim. This was the first year of swim lessons. I just bit my tongue and enjoyed.
Absolutely! Our school had an indoor pool and we were all required to take swim lessons from 4th - 12th grade. We lived in the Finger Lakes district and we often went to the various lakes and even spent a lot of time visiting the various Great Lakes (which, as you know, act more like seas with tides and ravaging winter storms) so we were always swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, boating, fishing, you name it, we were on the water doing it! The very first and most important lesson is to respect the water. You are a very good and protective mother and it sounds like you aren’t overly protective, just as needed. God bless you and yours!
I understand it’s a lot of work, but now have a deeper appreciation for the time and energy put into this job. I also need to remember that some things are “fake” (portable fake surfaces) and not as perfect as my eyes are seeing- so, don’t compare myself and feel like a failure!
Thank you for showing behind the scenes people think you tubers just make money but it truly is your job and it takes teamwork to make it work doesn't it all do great! I think it's awesome and a wonderful life I think it's great I love your videos
I am really enjoying your channel and am watching and learning different ways to use my six year old sourdough starter. You have a lovely family. Thank you!
I imagine this video being super helpful for people wanting to get into the blogging business. Personally, I'd love to see a video of your actual day in the life with kids (unless you don't wish to, which is obv fine). As someone who would also love a big family but is kinda afraid of the logistics of all of it, it would be super helpful. Anyway, have a great day!
You are a hard , busy worker......and have the ability to juggle many things at once. I don’t know when you have relaxing moments. You do everything up so very nice. Great video!
This was such an interesting video. I have always heard vloggers talk about how time consuming the filing/editing process is, but actually seeing it being done and your explanations behind it all was super interesting. Thanks for going to so much trouble. I love your channel x
I loved this episode! Such a great look into your day and blogging/vlogging life. Love the way you prioritize your family and kids and then balance that with a work from home job. I would definitely love to see more of this content in other seasons!
You are so amazing. You are one busy mom and you are making it happen. Lisa, just so wonderful and your kids are blessed to have you and your husband. I just wait for the next video with pleasure and anticipation. Blessings
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this video! Loved hearing about and seeing the practical sides of your work/life balance. My favorite videos you create are What We Eat in A Day/Week. But this type of video is right up there with them!
Geez Lisa, I don't know how you manage it all! It's crazy to me, that in the midst of showing us all the reality of just how much work really goes into all that you do, you STILL seem to exude a pretty calm and capable air about it. You are truly blessed. You are such a terrific example of so many great qualities aside from the ones you showcase like the gardening, cooking, sewing etc. Your "uncelebrated" skills like organization, planning, work ethic, parenting, and just "get er done" attitude is truly inspirational. And you do it all with a huge amount of grace. I've said it before but it bears repeating. You're an inspiration. Your partnership with your husband, in doing all of these things for the betterment of your home, family, children, and quality of life will have such a lasting impact on them. Thank you as always for sharing all that you do. You really do us a service in sharing all that you do. I hope you're feeling well, you look beautiful by the way! Love from Montana!
Lisa, that was so insightful and informative. I'm totally in awe of you. I, too, have six children,(in 10 years), and love seeing your passion for your family and also your job. I'm a passionate cook at home, and previously at work, and I totally understand the work involved. Absolutely love watching, don't ever stop! You're killing it! Lots of love from Australia xxx
I am so glad that you made this video as I’m sure that most of your viewers, myself included, had no idea how much effort goes into these videos that we love so very much. I want to take the time today to thank you for all the work you do to give me these wonderful times to sit back and peak in on you and your precious family. Lisa, I really appreciate all your hard work and the fact that you are always sharing. Being a retired photographer I know how challenging it can be, but rest assured that you are doing a wonderful job. THANK YOU 🙏🥰😘
Wowza this was cool to see. You’re right I had no idea how much work your job is! You make it look easy, but I see it takes a while to get such a professional finished product. Thank you for sharing this with us. I found your blog and channel while working nights as a RN (private duty nursing, so I’d watch while my patient slept) and continue to enjoy your blog and videos now as a mostly at home mom. It’s my “me time.”
Just found your channel. Wow, good job, Mama! I have a little farm and a first little one on the way (very soon!) I’ve been overwhelmed and tired this whole summer and couldn’t keep up with our large garden & many other homestead plans. You’re on a whole other level with that awesome, large family! I take it as a boost of inspiration! If you can do all that, I can (take a nap) and then do my work too! Wishing you God’s blessings and continued success.
Our granddaughter is doing ISR swim lessons. My son, a former Special Forces officer said that initially it was heartbreaking for him, but since they bought their lake house it’s just absolutely needed. I’m very happy that his community offers this to the children. So important!
Always enjoy the blogs, bit really enjoyed this one. Very informative. Pls include more of these from time to time. Thanks for all the great content always.
Wow!! You are superwomen. I have 4 kiddos am a stay at home mama homeschool my kids and could not imagine adding that on top yet. That is alot of work. Great job!!!
Wow Lisa that was brilliant and work and you are so good at it plus your Hubby is so supportive of your career and he has made it his too. I love your channel and your story I can hardly wait for each episode..........well done. Plus what good parents you are getting your children to learn water safety and how to float I taught swimming and the little ones really need to get over fear of water and to respect it, I almost drown trying to help a girl I know how close I came. Plus I love seeing you all praying before you ate ♥.....a fan from western Canada!!
Wow! I had no idea that so much went into vlogging. Your videos seems so effortless and you give us such great content in addition to being a wife and mother who's expecting. I loved this video. Thanks for sharing.😊💖
WOW! What an amazing video! Thank you for showing us about everything that goes on in making your videos! You are such a strong woman and I admire you a lot!!
I feel like you have so much energy! I know being outside a lot probably helps with that but dang! You're like a superwoman. I've binged so many of your vids haha. You're super inspiring! Thanks for encouraging the start of my sourdough journey! tomorrow is day 4!
Whew! I need to sit down and rest a while! You are one busy lady! Have you ever had a person ask you when you say you’re a stay at home working mom what you do all day??? Does that person’s face be like 😳? You’re amazing! Me? I have to get my grandson to show me TikTok on my phone! 🤦🏻♀️ So glad that UA-camrs like you are so tech savvy and willing to share that with other entrepreneurs just starting. What a blessing! 🙌🏻 I like learning recipes, etc., and seeing videos of kids swimming, playing, milking cows (you go Joanna!) and all things farm! You have such a eclectic channel that offers something for anyone! Can’t wait to try that soup recipe! Tomatoes are coming in by the truckloads! 🍅🍅🍅🥰
That was amazing. How do you ever get everything done and hopefully have some time for you? Thank you so much for sharing your life through youtube. I love watching everything that you do.
Lisa, you are (as I’ve told my husband recently) a SUPER mom! Even though I don’t want to be a vlogger/UA-cam career person I am just so dang INSPIRED by your work. I love that you value work life balance and are purposeful about how much time you spend in each valuable area of your life 👏 I can’t wait to be a mom now 😊
This was interesting to see the behind the scenes. So true how you can do more with less time with kids to balance your day. I think it is so cool how you have figured out how to get paid to be a stay at home mom and you are doing it without sacrificing the being a mom part to do it.
I absolutely LOVED this video as it made so much of what else we regularly see on your vlog and blog make sense! It helped me understand your life from a different perspective which as many of your viewers might also be interested in starting a vlog or another interest it helped see just how you slot it in amongst your 6 kids!!! (Facinating from an entertainment point of view too!) Please add this style of video to once a month or 6 weeks etc so we can follow along with the change of seasons and how they effect your vlog/farm life/work life balance. A very different video from you. Loved it. Loved the sponsored props too. I will have to see if they ship to Australia or not. Xx
Lisa, you are the Martha Stewart of the blogging world except you are even more because you have all of these children and a husband, not to mention your cow & calf and other animals to take care of where as Martha just had herself and a huge staff to do everything else she doesn’t do. You remind me of my daughters…all 5 of them. Thanks for you information and dedication! What memories you are making for your family.
I loved this video very interesting to see what goes into it and there is a lot. There is no slowing you down Lisa! Really it is amazing all you are able to do. Have fun at dinner. 😊
Gazpacho would take care of all of those extra veggies that you named, but in one recipe. Plus it’s so refreshing during the summer since it’s generally served chilled. Love your videos, btw.
Thanks Lisa for this video. Actually really helpful to me as I’m pretty new into my blogging journey. I don’t have a picturesque home so I have been wondering about how you do your photography. It really helps to see how you do that and how you schedule your days/photo shoots. Definitely going to check out your sponsor for this video, I need those back drops! Have a great day. :)
Oh how I would love to have the cucumbers and tomatoes!!! I can just see Danny coming up behind you and trying to eat the soup and croutons!!!! He is so cute!!❤️
This may explain why you seem to hold your breath a lot, and take such deep breaths when you do breathe. I bet the years go pretty fast for you and your family. Do take care Lisa...remember to stop.....and smell the roses. 😉 🤗
Lisa, I’ve been watching you for years and simply love your content and your family (from a mother of 8).
I love this type of video. As a visual learner who is striving to have a home business, your insight and transparency (whether spoken or filmed) is very valuable to me! Thank you🌻
I found this fascinating, Lisa. My admiration for all you young women bloggers just keeps growing😊
Where’s the older women though.

Team work makes the dream work! Keep up the hard work you guys!!! 👍
Perfect timing, just sat down to fold laundry and watch during my boys’ nap/quiet time ☺️
Same here! Always some laundry to fold with kids.
@@flaviegauthier9262 oh man, I don’t have kids yet and I always have laundry to fold still. I hate laundry and am terrified for when I do have kids. 🤣

Lisa, you are (as I’ve told my husband recently) a SUPER mom! Even though I don’t want to be a vlogger/UA-cam career person I am just so dang INSPIRED by your work. I love that you value work life balance and are purposeful about how much time you spend in each valuable area of your life 👏
I can’t wait to be a mom now 😊
I watch so many blogs I find myself talking while I’m cooking, cleaning, or working the chickens
I enjoy all of your content. Thanks for sharing. 😊
You are so welcome!
This was interesting to see the behind the scenes. So true how you can do more with less time with kids to balance your day. I think it is so cool how you have figured out how to get paid to be a stay at home mom and you are doing it without sacrificing the being a mom part to do it.
Thanks Lisa! I love your creativity! Your videos are so inspiring! 🤗
Wow that's a lot of work. You make it look so effortless.
Yes loved this style too…food looked yummie 🤗🙋🏻♀️💕🇬🇧jane
I absolutely LOVED this video as it made so much of what else we regularly see on your vlog and blog make sense!
It helped me understand your life from a different perspective which as many of your viewers might also be interested in starting a vlog or another interest it helped see just how you slot it in amongst your 6 kids!!! (Facinating from an entertainment point of view too!)
Please add this style of video to once a month or 6 weeks etc so we can follow along with the change of seasons and how they effect your vlog/farm life/work life balance.
A very different video from you. Loved it.
Loved the sponsored props too. I will have to see if they ship to Australia or not.
Xx
I am amazed at all you do in a day!! You make me tired lol 😆
Loved this video and you make me look forward to next videos
Lisa, you are the Martha Stewart of the blogging world except you are even more because you have all of these children and a husband, not to mention your cow & calf and other animals to take care of where as Martha just had herself and a huge staff to do everything else she doesn’t do. You remind me of my daughters…all 5 of them. Thanks for you information and dedication! What memories you are making for your family.
I loved this video very interesting to see what goes into it and there is a lot. There is no slowing you down Lisa! Really it is amazing all you are able to do. Have fun at dinner. 😊
Awe I would love to see more of your day!! This was a very fun video to watch. 👏🏼
We did isr for our girls. It’s amazing!!
Gazpacho would take care of all of those extra veggies that you named, but in one recipe. Plus it’s so refreshing during the summer since it’s generally served chilled. Love your videos, btw.
You are such an amazing mom! And wife! I truly look up to you and everything you believe in! You’re amazing 🙈
I enjoyed this one. I also would like to see you have of your children on more❤️
I love this! I don’t know how you get it all done!
Loved this video! Thank you! I've been wanting to start a blog for the last 6 years. It's nice to see a behind the scenes!

Loved this video! This was so helpful, thanks for sharing!
Those hotter Peppers look like Santa Fe Grande. I love them. My absolute favorite. Great video expanding on how too. God is Good.
I love this style of videos
This may explain why you seem to hold your breath a lot, and take such deep breaths when you do breathe. I bet the years go pretty fast for you and your family. Do take care Lisa...remember to stop.....and smell the roses. 😉 🤗
Love it! Great suggestions and insight!
