U r correct Melanie, about step 1. My narssisist family said for me to control myself = I forgive the abuser and continue relationship with abuser. I realize this is bs , just sharing that's what they wanted. Finally I'm more free and thriving.
When I terminated last year he raged and called the police- hooking me back in - I’m done now I never want to go through that blowing hot and cold behaviour again / NEVER 🌺🙏
It definitely gets much worse if you go back. I wish I knew this sooner with my mother. She amped up to such a dangerous level for me going no contact years ago. I nearly lost my life. She’s still using smear campaigns and flying monkeys to cut any source of help I could need. But I’m very close to my out.
I can say the same with my mother. I went back four times. Every time nearly killed me. Why did I keep returning? I couldn't even admit she was a narcissist (my dad is one, too) until the third time, and it took me the fourth time to understand what narcissism is and why she wouldn't change, only become better at concealing it.

I actually tried greyrock for awhile but whenever I would get around the narc family I found myself being sucked back in. Limiting any and all physical contact and communication is helpful, but ultimately physically distancing myself permanently and going nc seems to be the only way to go. I have been preparing for some time. The first step is being financially stable and then physically distancing myself permanently....as in FOREVER.
I was told that people taking Aderall takes away their emotions and when I saw her taking that everyday, I even bring it up and told her it’s no different than meth except it’s legal and she would just throw it back on me and say I’m crazy and never wants to admit or take responsibility!

Successfully getting child access despite lies betrayals and failed attempts to poison my beautiful kids against me. How do you deal with a narc ex who ignores legal instructions not to use kids as messengers, bait, getting them to ask me to pay for everything, eg "Daddy can you pay for my a.b.c. etc , Mom says she cant afford it..."

Narcissists definitely try to cut off any resources that could help you flee.
