This channel keeps getting better and better.
absolutely! I came down here to the comments to say the same thing. i've been following for a few years and it is so much more polished now. she is doing great work.
Dude! You were in my backyard! I live in indio and have been out to Salvation Mountain many times. I had the privilege of meeting and chatting with Leonard several times. I even got a personal tour from him. He was definitely a unique person. I was always amazed at how he could live out in the open desert year round. Temps over 120' are not uncommon. It's nice to see the foundation is maintaining his message. Happy trails!
Im a Brit.
A while ago, I lived in Yuma,AZ and worked in Yuma and Brawley CA.
Ive been to Slab City and Salton Sea a few times.
It suprises me how many people have never heard of or have never visited the places on their doorstep.
As a foreigner I find it so fascinating how many weird and wonderful places both natural and man made one can find in the US of A, and of course so many incredible people that make or look after them so dedicated to their particular chosen enterprise.
Very interesting indeed. As a citizen of the United States, myself, it all looks insane and terrifying lol
Right on Doodle, Thanks for sharing that, Be Safe
Greetings from Straya 🇦🇺 Absolutely love your videos and the tours you take. You really do show how different the US and the people can be. Great job all round. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for the great content Carolyn, keep the adventures coming, nice to see a cameo from Amanda.
This was so cool! There are a lot of motovloggers on YT but you stand out for many reasons one of them being these interesting off the beaten path places you visit! ❤
What a great video and you certainly have been enlightened! sending love and light from the UK 🇬🇧 ❤
You said it Amanda a refrigerator in the front yard is normal.
LOL
You are SO FAR outside the original comfort zone of this channel. Amazing.
Thank you for sharing doodle right video. Stay safe.
This was amazing! Good job on a great video.
Doodle, watching you grow as a motorcyclist AND as a fearless adventurer makes my heart happy. I’ve always tried to teach my daughters to be fearless explorers and now they’re teaching my grandkids the same lessons.
My adventures around the world have taught me that people everywhere want the same thing…happiness, freedom, good food, and to be surrounded by friends and family.
Well done, Doodle!
Fun and interesting, thanks for this one!
I love Amanda’s “a bunch of trash piled to look pretty ain’t new”.
I’m with her on that.
😂
Great video. I live 1 1/2 hours away, but never explored it, only drove through and looked and smelled.
I’m heading to So Cal at the end of the month and plan to check out Slab City. Thanks for the great video.
Such a fascinating place because of that unusual history. Another great off the beaten path trip
Now I wanna check it out eventually. Thanks for the info and great video!
Awesome work Carolyn!
The enlightenment effect was a welcomed addition🤣🤣
Great job Carolyn. I’m so proud of you. If your trajectory continues at this rate your success will be at a level that few achieve. Well done my friend. and How is Cody? I still wish The finance channel would’ve worked out I was excited about that, but being needed at work is always a good thing so I’m happy for y’all obviously. One day I will I’ll ride with you, or you and Cody off-road if I’m lucky! Again well done and keep it up.
This place is an actual inspiration. Thanks biker lady.
Slab City and its people are pretty neat, TBH. Venture there with respect and you'll get respect right back. Go there and act like a DB, you'll get checked real fast, and leave without your belongings. :)
Darwin, CA is another neat little place. It's relatively close to Cerro Gordo. It, too, is a town without laws. Most of its residents are wealthy hippies who the are live-let live type of folks. Peter Santenello did an episode on the town and its people.
So rad!! 🔥🔥 Living life for all it has to offer 🤙🏼
Doodle I love your videos. They make me happy lol. Thanks and keep it up.
There are so many videos on the history of Slab city and the Salton Sea. You can also see the how salvation mountain came to be. I was there in 2021 for Babes Ride Out in Borrego.
Slab City is a unique place. Never been there. Thanks for the tour!
Great video... I've had a fasination with Slab City for years and might get there this fall.
Pretty cool stuff. ❤️🙌🏼
That was so much fun, great video!
Glad you could join! And that you didn't need your six shooter 😜
Great VLOG, just found this channel recently. 🤩😎🙌
great vid Doodle .. cheers
Slab City, and the Salton Sea are fascinating places. They have a draw that is unexplainable.
Dangerous
😍😍😍
Love your jacket and helmet! Can you tell me where to get them?
Good stuff 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨
Kind of like biker week, etc… they are just different people living the way they want to live.
Some people don’t mind to be homeless. You shouldn’t feel sorry for them. Just understand them.
I have seen several documentaries about this place.
Great video Doodle, you are always the best ….
i spent lot of time as a kid going there mostly summer times fishing. last time was there to fish was around 1986 after the decline and resorts well gone. was somewhat of a local, hr and half away
Great content thanks
Very nice. I see a "across America by motorcycle" documentary in you're future. Canada next?
doodle, thanks for making a story that involves Salton Sea. I've never seen it with so much water in it.
Great job Doodle !
Intersting. Ive been meaning to make it to slab city.
I feel like areas like this are almost necessary. People should spend a week in a place that’s just peaceful and isolated every few months so they can hear their own thoughts
And unplugged from their cell phones.
Great video!
I used to live in the metro Atlanta area before moving to Augusta and literally just discovered your channel today. It’s great and I am beyond jealous of your cross country trip. That must be amazing! Ride safe my friends!
DOODLE YOU WERE ON HIGHSIDE LOWSIDE?!?!?! that is so AWESOME!
Cheers Doodle ! 😀
Been there. An amazing place! Hope you got to stop by the International Banana Museum.
Unfortunately I missed that one 😅🍌
You did that place justice. Looks like you had a good time!
Hey doodle are you gonna do an every day carry video on all the things you carry/bike accessories for your road trips. Or did you do one I haven't seen yet?
Love that you felt / saw how cool slab city is. I lead a ride from San Diego once a year, and stop at Bombay Beach and visit the artworks that get added every year. You should Also look up Desert X Art Instilations that happen in the same area with artists from all over the world every 2 years. Think Amanda is missing the point.
Your High with Enthusiasm!
Cool, I've been there in the late eightys. we were going to Glamis to play in the sand
The girl that runs The Range is an FBI agent. As an agent she testified against a friend of mine.
@bushcraftsports3251 Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear on this. If I had friend who raped 3 women they wouldn't be my friend anymore. I don't know what your friend did and no way you have to tell me but if it was a non violent crime, not a good beating that some a-hole deserved and she either set him up or ratted him out that's not my idea of justice. Some cops and feds just want to pile up their convictions without caring who it affects. If it's just some illegal gun or drug sell does this guy really need to have his life ruined? I'm not the best communicator so I hope this is making sense. FBI etc is supposed to protect us, not screw us over for a promotion. Need to go, making dinner.
Vice did a great video on Slab City.....sure there are alot of great people there, but also there are alot of junkies
Better to have junkies than the local White Power/Nazi group and the sheriff is the grand wizard of the KKK.
I've been there, it is surreal!
Very special and quiet small town . A must to see 👌
I love that you loved that place.
Beautiful video Aleluja nice motorcycle
Beautiful video. I'd like that place. You'll find where "Law" is there is chaos and where perfect natural law is there is peace.
Awesome job on this video. New subscriber.
Between you and Amanda I just ordered and received my Sand 4 H2O jacket. How baggy is it for you when you have all the liners out of it and are using it like a summer jacket? The biceps are HUGE! I might need to return and size down. It's too bad its so difficult to find these jackets in person to try on.
What an amazing motorcycle adventure and a unique place. I love it!
Crap, these places remind me of George Cooney's vampire movie "From Dusk to Dawn", geez.
Great video thank you very well done cool place .you might be interested in the New York safely track in Davenport New York. They teach road courses. Thanks again cheers to ya.
Another fun video thanks. It's really cute how you don't pronounce "T" in mountain and Salton. "Mounens" lol
Slab City is a trip. Used to be a Marine Corps base and now it's just a bunch of kick backed hippies.
Love that Africa Twin.
Slab city is such a depressing looking place to me. I would be as enthusiastic as your friend about it. Good video as always though 😊
I love the Salton Sea. I’ve been there three times. Once we rented 4x4's and rode the arroyos. Did your friend not see the Sony Bono Wildlife Park there? (No worries if she missed it. There is no wildlife there. LOL)
You are finding the most unusual people and places.
So random lol i was just in joshua tree yesterday and decided to make a trip to slab city. I was surprised to see their community bulletin which had flyers for HOA board meetings. Cop cruised through while i was there and didnt bother anyone. Interesting place for sure..
Bummer that I lived in the High Desert (Lancaster), CA, for 25 years and have visited the Salton Sea. Never heard about Slab City, though.
lol you in my neck of the woods i use to fish at salton sea back in the day i have not been there in awhile i enjoyed the video very much
As always, thanks for taking us along! Another intriguing and cool adventure. 👍 👍
Slab City is my dream destination. Someday maybe.
I love the interesting places you visit, TSMFS! I admire from afar as I’ve never had a desire to visit a desert (only type of terrain NYS doesn’t have, people don’t realise exactly how big it is) so I travel abroad due to my love of ancient history, architecture, different cultures, their languages & *food*😋. Safe travels! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🏍🦋
Don’t you just love Amanda. She’s just a wonderful person.
She’s pretty cool. Articulate and resilient, both at the same time.
A textbook definition of a sour pus.
It’s cool to watch this. I watch roaming reckless and you are following her it looks like with these place.
Question, one of your videos you mentioned a phone mount. You chose it because you had a phone ruined from vibration. What is the new phone mount??? Thank You!
Another awesome vlog Doodle, many thanks, ride safe !
Be careful! Have companions! Lots of bad guys, sister!
Ive been to that odd place and it is something to see.
Good content! But I assure you, the law absolutely applies there. Barney will come right out there faster than you can say dime bag.
Fun video. However, there is a big difference between saying "the town has no laws", and the reality that the city is subject to the laws of the United States, the laws of California, and the laws of the county in which the city exists.
Excellent video. Your excitement and kindness towards others is awesome.
Very interesting
So youy can't go anywhere in commyfornia?.. or to portland or frisco or seattle?
Hi Doodle.
Las Vegas is having a Demo ride this month.
They asked me to be the medic for this event.
Will you be joining us?
I remember fishing there when I was a little boy 😂😂😂
Not sure I would have climbed a tower made from popsicle sticks sober. No code enforcement in this town lol
You are fearless, and nice walk on the beam! Keeping sending videos I love them. You too!
Always enjoy your positive perspective, thank you.
Very cool
Great video!! Next, Come to Joshua Tree!! **MuaH**
Wow, what a cool place. Definitely added this place to my bucket list!
Okay so your saying I should cancel my picnic and badminton lol game on that beach
