Thanks Fitnessdy. I do jump rope for 10minutes after i brisk walk for 15minutes and run for 10minutes. Im 61 and been doing this for 15yrs now but i just started to jump rope 2yrs ago.
This is encouraging, thank you. I just started jumping rope 100 is my routine @ the moment. Fractured my ankle 18 weeks ago- still sore, but much better . Hope this will improve range of movements and strengthening my ankle
August i have been doing 4000skips (2mins x 15 with 1min rest sometimes 45sec rest). i think ill keep it at 30mins cause my knees are starting to complain plus i do 200burpees aswell twice a week
If your knees are complaining, look for lower impact workout options :D I always recommend fitnessblender to people, so you can try to see if they have anything good there
I did jumping without rope 3months 1000 to 3000jumping with interwels my anxiety problem reduced a lot and lot of improvements in health and easy to do now hill sprints repeat and other exersises like pull up push up dips legs are more powerfull now to balance in those exersises and running jumping activities also improove over all good mind set now 😜😜😍😍❤️❤️👍
So there's this study I recently made a video about that speaks just for your problem. Basically, cardio + targeted abs exercises are best to reduce belly fat. The study said 15-16 min cardio + 10 min abs. So yes, jump rope + abs daily + clean eating at a slight calorie deficit and you'll see the difference in a month. Take me to the bank with this 😀💪 Here's the video where I explain more + you can find the study: m.ua-cam.com/video/WnuF9ZzSNZI/v-deo.html&pp=ygUlZml0bmVzc2R5IGhvdyB0byBidXJuIGJlbGx5IGZhdCBzdHVkeQ%3D%3D
Yes, it'll be great because you'll be doing an aerobic workout. In the aerobic energy system, you're primarily burning body fat and oxygen as fuel. In the anaerobic system (which feels like you can't breathe bc of the exercise intensity), you're using glucose as main energy source. So yes. Do this + a bit of strength training (nothing fancy, squats, lunges, and bridges = 10 reps each for 3 sets). Also, don't forget your upper body (push ups, pike push ups and tricep dips hit almost all spots for beginners). Good luck and keep us posted on your progress 🩵
There are several studies I mentioned, so I'm not sure which one you're talking about. However, they're all included with links in the video description if you want to read them ♥️
Jump rope burns calories and if you're also taking breaks, that means you're combining aerobic + anaerobic energy systems, which accelerates fat loss. Therefore, you're also losing fat deposits from your arms. But for more toning, add some arm workouts. Push-ups and tricep dips to start - 3x per week :) and you'll see good progress in 4 weeks.
I think you can do it with barefoot shoes. The risk of doing jump ropes without any shoes is hurting your ankles. You can try skipping and see how you feel/ if you can control the move.
You have different options. You can simply mimic the move without yhe rope if the problem is you're getting tangled. And you can try intervals if the problem is you're getting out of breath fast. 30 seconds on - 15 off or 40 on + 20 off are great intervals for a longer aerobic workout. If you want to train your anaerobic zone, do 20 on + 10 off. Good.luck and let me know how you feel!! 💕
Plyometric training does strengthen the bones, yes. Anything that adds more resistance does. For example, did you know that tennis players have 20% more bone mass in their racket arms? 😀 that's really neat!
I believe it. I've asked clients who couldn't do rope jumps to jump while holding onto a wall and they immediately got better. So of course a day of rope jumping makes you better the next
Good question. There are sinilarities, but rebounding is less tough on your joints and the jumps are easier. That means rebounding isn't as good for muscle building and explosive force. Also no arm work. But since you're jumping on an elastic surface, it seems easier so people are likelier to use it and reap benefits like lower body force, weight loss, and lymphatic drainage. Maybr I missed some things but that's the gist of it 🙂
Yes, but after you get pregnant, consult your doctor to see if you can continue. For example, many women keep their running routines or gym workouts and have no problems. However, some pregnancies can be more difficult, and in those cases, more rest and gentler exercises are recommended :)
Yes, that's always a risk 😃 it depends where your desire to lose weight comes from. If it's rooted in self loathing or feeling unloved, you're at a higher risk. I think that's true for most things we do in life, from going to a party with people we don't necessarily like to taking one job instead of another etc.
I understand, I have had clients who said that any jumping gave them headaches. Some of those people get better by eating more carbs before exercise. But some people simply have cervicogenic headaches caused by neck proprioception upper cervical spine. Sooo, it happens more frequently than you'd think. I'd schedule a consult with a chiropractor just to ease my mind.

Never heard of mental health disorders being exacerbated by fitness

how much skipping is too much?
As a general rule, any workout that's over an hour should qualify as too much, with some exceptions for athletes/bodybuilders 😀
