Tori Boggs is a professional jump roper, and as you may expect, she's really good at jumping rope. Im impressed that the human body can do such an intense exercise as long as she can, i mean 6 minutes of triple unders?! Pushing yourself that high off the ground consistently for that long is insane and combine it with focusing hand movements and keeping the rope going.. wow

She can also jump pretty high, which helps
The body's ability to continuously produce epinephrine lasts for about 6-7 minutes, during which people can accomplish incredible things, but after which, at least if the production has been truly continuous, they hit a wall of adrenal and anaerobic exhaustion where both their muscles and neuroendocrine system just starts shutting down to recharge.

It’s the people with a passion who make it so amazing.
I mean Tori Boggs is 29. It's never too late.
I'm 51. I picked up a jump rope 2 years ago to rehab my ankle. Now I'm doing cross overs, heel toe, boxer step, run step and more. I'm no Tori Boggs but I'm getting there. It's definitely a fun workout that kills your whole body. But it does take time and patience. I suggest any one starting start with a beaded rope. And jump for maybe 5min a day for may be 3 days a week till your body gets use to it to avoid injuries. Cause it is killer.

As an Army medic, I've drawn athletes' blood before; their veinous blood can scare you into thinking you hit an artery. I've taken their vitals, they breathe only a few times every minute and their hearts beat like every other second.
I can't imagine what her nurses think about her vitals.

Right?! Back before I became quite a bit lazier than I should admit. I was a pretty sought after highschool running back and ice hockey goalie running at least 5 miles 7 days a week and swimming laps for 6 hours a week my resting was right around 50 bpm now though ..... It's about 88
I grew up in the same town as her and even though she’s 6 years older than me I remember hearing about her accomplishments even when I was in high school. My junior year she was on Ellen and the whole town was talking about it. She’s amazing!

@@donmiller2908 actually, my point was that, it’s crazy how in a small town I didn’t know how good she was for 15 plus years. I didn’t even know she existed until I was 16. I don’t personally know her so I’m not trying to say that I knew someone famous or anything. If I wanted to do that I would say “I graduated with miss WV USA 2021” but I didn’t :)

Imagine hitting a record and still knowing you could do better so you train for an additional 2 years and beat your own record. Impressive!
She is absolutely amazing, not only her skills, but her attitude, and specially her smile; It's the real flow state of mastery and enjoyment. It's always so satisfying to listen and to see an expert doing what she loves making it look so easy, effortless and fun, Taking into account that I could never do it.
Keep doing what you love, your discipline is inspiring.
I love that she openly admits that she has no natural talent for jump rope, that she had to practice to get where she is now. Mastery is achieved through practice, not birth.

I agree, Practice/Repetition is how you get good at something.
Perseverance is much more important than natural talent.
Nobody got to the top of their game without putting in thousands of hours... Plenty have gotten there without any innate talent.

She is amazing! I finally mastered double unders and crisscrosses after months of practice which makes me really appreciate the coordination and athleticism she has to do what she does

I used to do jump rope and love how this actually shows jump rope as how it really is: really hard and extremely athletic!
It can be really hard and athletic but can also be simple and a great aerobic conditioner. I was doing tricks decades ago but now I just do a simple workout. Speed skipping, crossovers, and double jumps.

That was Literally Awesome ! I use to jump rope for fitness, a regular rope, found a heavy 1 inch rope around, then got a steel rope, rode a mountain bike, in the hills for an hour or so, made a pull up bar, I had a few free weights, l was never in better shape, I Loved that jumping rope, it was simple, fun to Miss Tory has inspired me to start again, I Thouroghly enjoyed watching the Level of Excellence of that Young Woman
And here I am 40# overweight and get winded walking up stairs.
