I'm 51. I picked up a jump rope 2 years ago to rehab my ankle. Now I'm doing cross overs, heel toe, boxer step, run step and more. I'm no Tori Boggs but I'm getting there. It's definitely a fun workout that kills your whole body. But it does take time and patience. I suggest any one starting start with a beaded rope. And jump for maybe 5min a day for may be 3 days a week till your body gets use to it to avoid injuries. Cause it is killer.

I was a tall kid, so I never got to jump robe much, because the ropes were always too small. I could still do it, but it was uncomfortable having to make myself smaller.

I recently started jumping rope, and Im surprised because I would never have expected it to be so much fun. I also get so happy whenever I find ambitious people like Tori who keep showing that no matter how good you get you can always keep improving. The sky is the limit
