Combine that with one of the highest yards per attempt in general, this literally means he is throwing farther, on average, then anyone else in the league...

Why does it seem like every other qb is graded on a curve except for Tua? Tua's played one full season in the NFL, led the league in yards and made the playoffs. Dan clearly doesn’t watch Dolphins games. I have yet to see a single time where Tua threw a 7 yard pass to Tyreek, that went for a TD of more than 20 total yards. If Tyreek scores a 60 yard TD, it’s because Tua threw the ball at least 40 air yards. Way more of Tuas passes to Tyreek are from 15-30 air yards, and gain 5-7 yards after catch, than there are short 3-10 yard passes that go for even just 25 yards. 2:08 Dan cmon. This just isnt true. We all thought it would be crazy yac yards in Miami when Hill got there.
That isnt the case. Tua is throwing consistently deeper then anyone in the league the last 2 years.
Air yards per attempt, is a stat just as it sounds. The distance, in the air, the ball travels, from pass to completion. It entirely excludes yac yards. Nobody has a higher number then he does over the last 2 years. He is at the top or near the top of all passing metrics the last 2 years.
We all know he doesnt have an arm like Herbert or Mahomes, but you dont need one to throw a ball 60 yards. Hell, im almost twice these kids ages and i can still throw a ball a good 50 yards.
Having an arm like Herbert is great if your recievers dont get any seperation or have to constantly throw into tight windows, as far as depth though, you dont see 80 yard td throws from anyone. It just doesnt happen consistently enough to even acknowledge.
This notion that all he does is dink and dunk is objectively false, we literally have 2 years of data and film to show that.
Now, i dont believe Tua is good enough to will his team to a Superbowl. I have major questions when it comes to that and playoffs in general....but all these other knocks you guys still bring up? He has quite literally put them all to bed, they arent true

If what Tua says is true, that's not coaching that's verbal abuse. All I know about Brian Florez is it seems like he is not the friendliest, upbeat guy. He looks like he has a chip on his shoulder. He suec The NFL and still works for them, which I never understood. I saw McDaniel on The Show and he's a brilliant, positive, funny young man who loves his job. I believe that The Dolphins will win The AFC East. The Jets are overhyped and The Dolphins are quietly under the radar,

Tua father was harsh. He was handed to Flores by Nick Saban notorious for being a hardass. I dont think Tua problem is people being hard. It seemed that Flores wasnt just difficult, but potentially resented Tua given how well Herbert did. Saban was hard, but i dont think Tua ever got the sense from Saban that he was worthless.

WhatBelichick did to Mack Jones last year was so disgraceful, they wouldn't even talk the guy towards the end. He had a Defense coordinator Matt Patricia calling offensive plays. Belichick ruined his already tarnish legacy, he was a over glorified DC that benefited greatly from Brady and his OC's.

Tua was 2nd in the league last season in completed air yards. (2,447) Only Dak had more. 3rd in the league in completed air yards per attempt. Tua threw for 4,624 yds. 2,447 of them were air yards, 2,177 were YAC. Mahomes threw for 4,183 yds. 1,631 were completed in the air. 2,552, or 61% of his total yards came from yac, compared to just 47% for Tua. Very far off Dan's clueless 91% assertion. One of the few places Tua drops out of the top 5 in stats, is actually yac per completion where he is 7th. Brock, Patrick, Russell, Matthew and Lamar all had their receivers avg more yac per completion than Tua. So, watch some tape and stop perpetuating false commentary.

Im a dolphins fan who thinks its clear that Tua has essentially a below average arm when it comes to driving the ball....but the narrative that he doesnt throw deep and all his stats are YAC yards by tyreek hill is lazy and inaccurate. Look at the plays, look at the advanced numbers. Its just stupid coming from someone who has paid people to fact check this shttt. And no....it's not a "sensitive" Tuanon perspective. Y'all just lazy and wrong.
Also....the players at ESPN this morning did a great job of scrapping the bullshttt off this false narrative about "tough love". Theres a broad difference between coaching hard and demeaning someone and quite literally telling someone theyre not good enough and you don't believe in them. To do the latter is coaching malpractice.
