    Everyone forgets to mention that Tua was coming off a devastating hip injury… coaching him that way when his confidence was already at an all time low was not the way to coach Tua at that time,,, his father coached him hard,, nick saban has historic stories of ripping his players… saying Tua can’t be coached hard from some media is ridiculous

      This, people forget he played a yr removed from a serious hip injury. Lost mobility and arm strength due to it and still played at a high level for a rookie. Also his 2nd season he wasn't as bad as peoples make out to be.

    Flores took his hate for the front office on Tua. Flores wanted to destroy Tua just to prove the front office wrong on drafing Tua. That's not tough coaching. That's pure hate.

      When the Dolphins fail to overcome the Bills, win the division..go to the AFC championship to face the Chiefs..even beat the Chiefs in the regular season..Dolphins will be looking for a new quarterback and Flores will be proven right.

      @HollywoodGUY23 It wasn't about Flores proving Tua wrong. It's how he treated Tua. Even Brady never got treated the way Tua got treated.

    Colin you shouldn’t be allowed to talk about Tua at all, on how you constantly knocked him since 2020. Turn in your media card. You ruined your reputation by constantly lighting up Tua for him being to short, not a strong enough arm, he can’t make all the throws.

    Flores wasn’t coaching him, he was pissed they drafted him and wanted Tua off the team. He went behind the GMs back and agreed in principle with a trade with Houston for Watson, and went to the owner about it. Obviously the owner is like where is the GM and the rest is history

    I think it depends usually the tough love coaching works on guys who have adolescent mindset coming into the league, Guys who are flashy, only care about stats, aren’t winners, but when you give tough love to guys who already have there head on a swivel, mature, plays the right way, it comes off as harsh and derails confidence, It is made pretty clear that Polynesians grow up with strict standards, so Tua is probably like I don’t need moral lessons and mind tricks for me to be better, just be the coach, and i be the player, why do i have to continuously have to deal with the the unnecessary belittling everyday i come to work, What Flores did was unnecessary, Tua wouldve became a great QB his rookie year or in his 2nd year had Flores just been a normal coach smh

    Tua had Saban as head coach at Alabama, so he was used to some kind of a no nonsense, do your job approach. this speaks volumes about the damage of the Flores behaviours

    If this was Bill Parcell or Bill belichek I guarantee you the narrative would be Tua soft I’m a Dolphin fan and no Tua and this team has lacked toughness so is that a Mike McDaniel culture or what just win a playoff game and prove you have what it takes to beat winnng teams as well when your first read isn’t there

    As someone mentioned below - Tua was three years with Coach Saban who is known as a tough, no nonsense coach. A coach who yells a lot. But, there's a big difference Saban would tear someone down but then he would build a player up. He is widely known as someone who if he yells at you, it's because he knows you can do better. If he doesn't yell at you, then it is because he knows you can't do better.

    I agree with everything Tua and everyone else is saying about Flores as a person, but as a fan don’t tell me he wasn’t a good head coach. Tua only spoke up because of his recent contract and not courage. He still has to prove it on the field because Flores did the same as Mcdaniels and Tua in those few seasons with less talent and support around him. If we get eliminated in the first round again then it would make Flores right in that regard. It would be Tannehill 2.0 all over again but much worse.

    • @AnEyeRacky
      @AnEyeRacky 3 місяці тому +2

      Tua didn't "speak out" though, he was asked point blank, what's changed, what's the difference between now and then, the difference between Flores and McDaniel.
      Tua was asked a direct question, and he gave a direct answer. I watched the whole thing. This didn't seem to me like him "speaking out". In fact the majority of the time it was obvious, Tua didn't even want to talk about it at all. He tried to move on from that pretty quick. But the kid is honest to a fault

      @@quintinjohnson6760 he has never been in the exact situation he was in during that interview. Never
      This kid finally got the only true way of knowing for sure that a team believes in you, an all-star type contract.
      It isn't in his nature to talk shit anyway. And he didn't really talk shit either. He could have definitely put some emotion behind it like some of you girls reacting to it

    It goes back to Parcells. Arrogant, mean spirited, tough. It works with a few people, but definitely not with everyone! Being jerkish to media and front office, and players who are not "thier" guys.
    You can get get away that as long as you have success. Billicheck, and Parcells got away with it when they won.
    Arrogance wears thin quickly if you don't have immediate success.

    When you have 3 or 4 rings as an assistant, you get a hc job before youhave learned HOW to be a Head Coach.
    Billickek's tree is made up of too many dudes that think THEY won rings.
    Tom and Bill won rings.
    Being an acolyte gets you one, too.
    Yeah it takes 53 dudes and 25 coaches but just being disciplined enought to enforce the Bilickek way doesnt make you great.
    How much of Obriens or Patricias or any of those coaches put their own systems in or even just a wiggle?
    Doubtful that any.

    Tua is soft and the type that wants to be told how great he is every day and patted on back to perform mediocre. Sean McVay is hard on his qb and treated Goff like shit.

    • @mynameishall8736

      He's not a good coach. He is horrible for the fact that he wasn't a good players coach when it came to all the players. He singled guys out and wasn't talking to half his staff during his last season. He was a toxic guy in Miami. That's just what it is. You can be a toxic a-hole and still win. It's just not sustainable.

      If he was so great, why haven't anyone offered him a job? There was a ton of head coaches fired, and he didn't even get one interview, and yeah, his player loves him so much that their best defense player demands to be traded (minkah Fitzpatrick) and no one has come to defend him

      He lost his man card when he used the race card like the coward he is. Thats why he will never be a head coach anymore. This might be his last as a dc.. while “ soft” tua lol is getting generational money and breaking records. Tell me who’s the weak one here. He thought he could play w Tua. But wtf is Flores?? Some bum who wasnt any good at ball and rode bilichiks nut sacks like the rest of his coaching tree that went up in 🔥 lmaooo the biggest frauds and certainly one of the biggest couldn’t break Tua. You can Not block the blessed. Flo is trash , always was his true character exposed

    • @gregtrust5599
      @gregtrust5599 3 місяці тому

      Flores didn’t turn around anything, he hadn’t even seen a playoff game and 75% of Flores’ wins came off Tua’s back. Dude had a losing record with every QB except Tua. Do you not remember Flo’s last season in Miami, dude started the season 2-7 with Jacoby Brissett and Tua got one of those two wins, then when he finally went back to Tua even though he was ready 2-3 weeks before that, Tua takes Miami on a 7-1 run and give Flores that winning record. Flores was a bum coach and pos, get over it.
