As a dolphins fan he’s great for defense and that’s it. A lot of players didn’t like him, a lot of coaches and staff quit because of him. The only people who liked or stuck up for him were defensive players. Great defensive coordinator but bad head coach.
Tua is "soft"....yet, he was coached by Nick Saban...a defensive minded head coach! Sounds more like second year defensive minded head coach Brian Flores was just a bad head coach...at least for QB's.
Right. Tough coaching isn't telling you're players they suck because at the end of the day the goal is to get the best out of them so you can win. If you yell at them you at them from a " I know you're better then that" type of energy
Thank you Kimberly for being the voice of reason. Stephen A. is just doing the NFL's work. This topic wasn't about discrimination. So, why is Steven a saying an unrelated case got weaker?
Being chewed out and being penalized for being drafted instead of Herbert is two different things. Tua was under Saban and definitely got hard coaching. This is not the same.
He played for Nick Saban. He doesn't have a problem being "chewed out." Flores took it too far, and everyone, including Flores himself, feels that way.
You shouldn’t have to deny it, UNLESS Flores was unemployed at this time. But since he’s employed, he can’t bring all the he said she said into a different locker room. Got to focus on the Vikings and the 2024-2025 season
He made it clear that he didn't handle it correctly. Only person he should apologize to is Tua. He's obviously still hurt by it. Hopefully he gives him a call and bury the hatchet.
Just because you have a right to do something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be shamed. People have freedom of speech but we shame them for it all the time. We shame people for how they use their rights all the time and sometimes rightfully so I don’t even think Flores is wrong for filing a lawsuit against the NFL. But your comment is ignorant
Disagree. I’m close to someone in employment law… 80% of the cases are absolutely ridiculous or a money grab. 15% have some merit, but there are issues on both sides. 5% there is an issue.
The lawsuit accuses Dolphins of firing him because of his race and solely because of his race, not his performance or his interactions with his players. This information now sheds light into his interactions and, from the Miami Dolphins point of view, the reason why he was released. If he denies his interactions were sour he can maintain he was fired for his race, but he openly admits he had a difficult relationship with the starting QB which doesn't help his claim/s.

Nobody is taking into account when Tua said “The NFL is easier than I thought.” Brian Flores said “bet now ima get on your case every chance I get and see how easy it is.” And now you have Tua crying saying how much of a bad person Flores is.
The quote is “I expected it to be a lot harder, not that it is not hard”. He clarified his comments later that week saying “it’s hard. It’s difficult to score. My comments were taken out of context “ I’m not a Dolphin fan in fact the Dolphins humiliated the Broncos running the score up but be fair, I am 😂
A lot of ppl are quick to say Tua is soft. They can't realize that Tua improved still under Flores. Especially with the last ranked o-line & WR. Can't forget that Tua also played his first year going through physical therapy because of his hip recovery. That's soft?
Flores made the best decision, you put the fire out now instead giving platforms the opportunity to let it heat up. IMO what Tua said was not damaging enough to warrant a back and forth.
He wasn't saying that it was a bad look morally. He was saying that not denying the incident with Tua was a bad look when it comes to Legal matters when the defense in Flores's case, which is the NFL and the Dolphins, can use this as leverage in the outcome of that case. Has nothing to do with Flores as a person or coach
Some of you guys are denying Tua's experience as if you were there and that's wild. From what Tua said this man did nothing to build him up as a player, instead of working with what he got Flores went the route of trying to break this man down. In Flores mind maybe his harsh criticism was supposed to be motivational, but obviously he wasnt paying attention to how Tua was responding or else he would've realized his approach wasn't working. And it's not hard to imagine, anyone that's been in a teaching environment or place where you had a mentor there's good mentors and bad mentors and what makes someone a good mentor or teacher isn't the same for everyone cause we all don't respond to the same things. It's just unfortunate that things played out that way.
I agree. Also, Tua played for Saban so he’s not someone who can’t take criticism. What Brian Flores did was different. Man literally tried to break down his quarterback psychologically. It’s that Belichick mentality. As you can tell by Bills coaching tree, his way is mediocre asf without Brady.
It's amazing how so many people just somehow "know" eveything Flores says is true and everything Tua says is a lie 🙄Reminds me of how everybody suddenly became a medical school graduate in 2020 if ya know what I mean.
I love Tua, and I hate bosses who insult people in the name of tough love. Brian addressed it well, but I just hope he sits back, looks himself in the mirror, and improves on his leadership style.
@@AntonioFerguson-ym3khtake the number 1 receiver away from any QB not named Patrick Mahomes and you will see many of them struggle as well. QBs need weapons to throw to.

Stephen A. had no business changing the narrative in a court case poisoning the opinions of potential jurors or judges hearing the case.
His case is bs anyways look at the details , and tell me if that's discrimination, just because the Giants hired Dabol instead. He claimed sham interviews happen what about the sham interviews conducted to the white candidates too . ? Also he says A gm came late to an interview which he can't prove and do what if a gm did.. Its obvious ge fired from Miami for not getting along with Tua and the black gm..
Saban had zero trouble coaching tua. All coaches praise how easy tua is to work with and how coach able he is. I don’t doubt a word tua said and other players can defend his words. Flores had humble response. Both better off apart
Wouldn’t ownership and management have a reason for firing a head coach due to their dissatisfaction with how the coach is treating the starting quarterback and other players, maybe they wanted to find a head coach that they would have confidence in having a successful working relationship with the players
At the end of the day that's a dumb way to coach. You yell at you're players to get the best out of them but it doesn't make since to tell them they suck like you're the opposing team. Last time I checked the goal is to win
Blacks are ahead of women in the current far left pecking order, though. That's why NFL players are constantly allowed to get away scot free when they slap women around.
Brian Flores wasn't wrong at the time, Tua clearly wasn't ready to be the starter in his rookie year. ownership and the Dolphins fanbase derailed everything. now the Dolphins have an overpaid QB that's gonna be a backup for the rest of his career pretty soon
@@brianfitzsimmons6074 if u read my entire comment then u would see the part where I said “ownership and the Dolphins fanbase derailed everything.” Flores was under a ton of pressure so he had no choice but to start Tua at the time
Yea he wasn't ready his rookie year. He wasn't supposed to play. He was recovering from a broken hip! People always forget that Flores threw him in too early. Flores stunting his growth as a QB and everyone thinks he sucks. Last 2 years he has been top 5 in every major stat for a QB.
Flores didn't deny it. Tua has a great coach now with Mike that treats him with respect and kindness. He showed him what he does well and built back up his confidence.
It is incredibly weak, unprofessional and immature to say someone is a bad person simply because they coached you hard. You can’t impugn someone’s overall character just because they were a tough coach. Also, it’s not like Tua was playing well. He was playing horribly, and was out played by Ryan Fitzpatrick. Was Brian Flores supposed to stroke Tua’s ego in perpetuity?
Same so.. imagine high first round QB could barely move the chains, has to Re install the great grandfather Fitzpatrick. Now you gets Paid he has all the mouth..😂
Cmon SAS, that’s lame AF to try and connect Flores legal issues with his personal relationship with another dude. Every football coach ever has at least one bad relationship with a player, owner and or another coach. What does this have to do with his lawsuits?
Translation: Tua, which is within his rights, went to the Dolphins owner, and said "Either he goes, or I go! I can't take this %$#@ anymore!", so winning record or not, the owner is gonna side with his franchise QB. Stephen Ross has a right to fire his head coach, if he can't build a good relationship with his franchise QB. QB talks to other QBs, owners talk to other owners, etc....
Calling out abuse instead of accepting and justifying it IS growing up. Why isn't anybody calling Flores soft for actually suiing a league that hires black head coaches all the time just because one of them hasn't been him for 2 years?
Flores is probably growing a lot more than Tua. I get where Tua is coming from, though, but at some point, you need to improve and to be honest, Tua has not improved as much as the roster around him has. Of course, Tua can prove us all wrong, but if he flames out towards the end of the season when the games matter most... again, it will be an indictment on Tua, not Flores.
I guess I can't blame him, but I find it curious that Tua's candor got more pronounced once he got his money. Him and Mike McDaniel got to BEAT somebody, in important games, before I get colored impressed. Because, let's be honest, having a freak athlete like Tyreek Hill would make a LOT of QBs/coaches look good. They gotta go out and do something already.
@@corneliuspraeda6452 Exactly. I feel the same way. If someone does you wrong, then of course, call them out, but honestly, I get confused about how Tua says, "We can get scrappy if you want." Yet he has a hard time with being told he sucks.

That being because the dolphins ain't win a Superbowl and tyreke came after but he built the foundation and structure against all odds and should've had another HC job the following yr but y'all know how that go (cough)
Flores handled that perfectly he didn't really admit anything personally, didn't say anything to discredit himself. If I'm his attorney, I'm happy with that response
No, he handled that like someone who didn't expect one of the many people he mistreated to actually call him on it and hid behind shades like a coward because he was too afraid of even looking anybody in the eye for fear of his lying being obvious.
Brain Flores had the nerve to say being called a "terrible person" hit him in a way that wasn't positive but he thought it was Ok to tell Tua that he sucked literally everyday for a few years.
Tua snatched the starting QB spot from Jalen in the Championship game. Nick Saban made that move midgame. Tua can handle tough, raw, honest, but fair coaching.
"My truth" simply means my side of the story. History itself is a compilation of mostly men saying "their truth." And just so you know, the people in the generation before you also called your generation of males the softest ever. Every generation says that about the next generation. No man has EVER said, "This new generation is tougher, or stronger than us."
Stephan A is actually speaking facts. Regardless, whether you agree with the NFL or not, Tua's admission and Flores not denying it, looks good for the NFL legally. The NFL has this ammunition. Moreover, if he learns that's great but if I'm running an NFL team and I draft a player, but he doesn't like that player, can I trust you to still do your job and do it without damaging my players?
Steven A is 100% correct on this! If this goes to trial, miami will call not just Tua, alot of othet players, coaches and management to testify against Flores. Flores, with shades on, did not deny Tua's accusations because he knows other coaches and players witnessed all of it. Other players had issues with flores. Plus this is not about "tough coaching". This was about hate toward the owner and the gm. Then flores, who wanted j love, then watson, took it out on Tua. Flores claims racism on his firing. Miami who's gm is black, claims toxic environment. This does not help flores in a court of law, but it does help him to be a better person and coach. Plus nothing wrong with Tua speaking up.
I highly doubt Tua meant to call him a "terrible person" for all the world to hear. Sounds like something that just slipped out as he was reliving the moment.
@@itsjustkameron5799 I know that, and I appreciate that he as a person has been through a lot. But sometimes you gotta be a professional and get over it, and not totally attack someone who is still in the same league as you.

Just saying, as a Vikings fan, I’m extremely glad that Flores is our DC. He’s a tough coach and (most) people respect him and like him. He was great for our defense last year and I expect even better this coming year
No bias whatsoever
He is much better fit to be a DC than a head coach. He had an extreme bias against the offense when he was with Miami, it wasn't just Tua.
As a dolphins fan he’s great for defense and that’s it. A lot of players didn’t like him, a lot of coaches and staff quit because of him. The only people who liked or stuck up for him were defensive players. Great defensive coordinator but bad head coach.
All coaches eventually get fired. Are you confident Flores won't tell the media all the Vikings secrets, plans, ideas. He did that to the Dolphins.
@@alphakenny1_ totally fine with me lol
Tua is "soft"....yet, he was coached by Nick Saban...a defensive minded head coach! Sounds more like second year defensive minded head coach Brian Flores was just a bad head coach...at least for QB's.

Brian Flores didn't want Tua he wanted Justin Herbert
Tua's offense was trash under Flores but that same offense was Winning games with Ryan Fitzpatrick 🤷♂️
Well seeing how anytime he plays a team over .500 or in weather under 40 degrees he does seem soft
Right. Tough coaching isn't telling you're players they suck because at the end of the day the goal is to get the best out of them so you can win. If you yell at them you at them from a " I know you're better then that" type of energy
I respect Brian for that response.
Molly is right...he could have experienced racism and coached Tua hard/badly. One has nothing to do with the other.

But in Steven's POV, the legal sharks in that case could use the situation with Tua as a way to claim that Flores's racism grounds are unfounded
Thank you Kimberly for being the voice of reason. Stephen A. is just doing the NFL's work. This topic wasn't about discrimination. So, why is Steven a saying an unrelated case got weaker?

I don’t even think Flores is wrong for filing a lawsuit against the NFL. But your comment is ignorant
Flores has been continual employed by the NFL since he was in his 20s and moved up at every chance . He is still employed.

@@spenser6353yes you can.
Disagree. I’m close to someone in employment law… 80% of the cases are absolutely ridiculous or a money grab. 15% have some merit, but there are issues on both sides. 5% there is an issue.
How would this affect the lawsuit. What does this have to do with that
The lawsuit is flemsey anyways, there is no smoking gun.

Stephen A only type of person that'll say it's a bad look to admit the truth and say you've grown.
He’s won one game more than when he was under Flores. He def no Tom Brady
I really enjoyed listening to Steven A’s perspective. Not a lot of yelling, but spitting intellectually. Definitely wish he did this more.
Why do you always have to interrupt people, Stephen A.?
Absence of denial, is not admission of guilt
According to the people in charge of society, it actually is. They're the ones who keep saying silence is consent.
Stephen A is really upset that Flores has a lawsuit against the NFL. Always faking like he’s against racism 😂 He did the same thing to Colin.

Flores is literally owning up to it and people criticizing Tua are just plain delusional. Crazy!
Wouldn’t ownership and management have a reason for firing a head coach due to their dissatisfaction with how the coach is treating the starting quarterback and other players, maybe they wanted to find a head coach that they would have confidence in having a successful working relationship with the players
