I've worn this watch 24/7 for the last 3 years and I've only replaced the battery and band once. It's an excellent time piece. I can't speak much for the other features though, considering the temp gauge reads 411°F and I've tried everything to fix it to no avail. The compass is solid though and the depth meter is accurate. I love it and recomend it. If you don't care about the altimeter and temperature, it's a great buy
Had one of these for last 6 years and is a fantastic watch. I do from time to time watch reviews and it never fails to amaze me how many people complain about the dark screen and poor backlight. These people dont understand it is a full on tactical watch. I would of thought the clue was in the description " military all black "
Suunto watches are terrific, had them for two decaces. Suunto Vector and now Suunto Core. They last forever, you can take them up to the top of Everest and they will tell you exactly what altitude you are at. I personally prefer the Suunto Core regular black, makes it a bit easier to read the dial.
Good video brother, just picked one up used and found that the battery has been replaced without a seal , so this wont go into the shower. Appreciate the effort you put into this video
Good stuff. I almost bought the Regular, sunnto had 60% off sale. I think they're going to discontinue it. You can but battery and seal from amazon. Wear it in good health.
I like how when you first pull it out of the box the numbers are all nice and clear and easy to see and then you realize it’s the protective film. You pull it off and you’re like a crap those dim ass letters and numbers
I was set on getting the red/black core but after reading the first 20 reviews a few hours ago on Amazon I change my mind. Seems like their customer service is horrible when it comes to warranty issues. I may end up just getting the G-Shock GWG 1000 instead for almost 3 times the amount of money.😏
Rewatched the film at the weekend and have decided I "need" this watch now. Tried convincing my missus that it will come in handy as we're going skiing next year and it's cheaper than the watches I normally go for. Apparently I need to grow up and worry about Christmas presents for our daughter and blah blah.... Now I have to secretly buy the watch and then pretend I found the watch/won it in a competition/or got given it by my mum for Christmas... I'm 38 years old and I work hard... fuck my life. Why can't I be assertive like Denzel 😔
Nice watch nice review and a few tips...set up the altimeter there's a function/app on your phone that will tell u accurate with a god lock... Than regarding the temperature it is useful because when u go hiking in the mountains most tune u have the watch strapped to your backpack harness because your hands are with gloves, or busy hanging on to stuff or the watch gets covered by layers of jacket, windproof or snow proof jackets. Also is to see what temp you might have in the tent at night..or the water temperature. Is defo not for the body temperature. The rotating bezel for the compass is to overlap it on a Topo map so u can point it in the direction u need to take when hiking in relation to the North. Have a look how to read compasses on Topo map.

I like how this watch looks and knowing how good are products made in Finland. It´s sad they "all" export their products to be manufactured in China :/ Still i like Suunto watches very much and next im going to buy is this one. Good video, thanx.
I have sent this watch back twice, the buttons stuck in the first time and the second time was due to water damage. it needs sending back again because the strap has fallen apart. It's no good for military use.
Very interesting my friend, that's a genuine choice-changer for me.... I've often used Suunto, I'm not military connected, but I climb at a reasonably high standard - so require a hardcore piece of kit. Thanks for your input man....
I really like this watch, it looks very nice...but... so many negative rewievs, bad buttons, cheap strap, short battery life, Im so confused right now...
A lot of people want to use this watch as a diving watch and you wouldn't recommend this because of 2 things: - the watch is rated and tested as a dive watch (ISO 6425), a really stupid thing that Suunto did and they don't inform they customers properly about this matter. ISO 6425 is a diving watch standard and you can find more information in these links: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_Resistant_mark blog.thewatchenthusiast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/ISO-6425.pdf - and if water will get inside the unit...well then you'll need to pay $140 USD to have this unit replaced (even if the watch is under warranty) and it's user damage (for Suunto of course).
+nav san I know you need to go with a dive-computer but the fact that Suunto tell us that the Core can go up to 30m or 3 atm under water and in fact the watch will fail after 1 m...it's basically cheating us. Also, you can always check the website and you'll see the information over and the fact that they didn't even bother to change it.
These are fantastic watches unfortunately you only review half of what this watch is about. I used my own core milspec one in serval deserts and mountain terrain. And it's absolutely scuffed to bits changed batteries many time not a problem. It's never let me down. This watch is designed to allow you to push yourself.
Yeah..Ive had my eye on this watch for a long time now..Sometime ago I got a killer deal on a Casio Parhfinder PAG240 and love it. After reading so many complaints about the Core..Ive decided its not for me. I want a watch I dont need to constantly be fukn with...The no solar power is a deal breaker itself. Think I will spend a lil extra and order the Casio Protrek PRW2500. Solar power..Atomic time..moon phase..all the features of the core....and classic Casio durability. Im so sick of these companies selling inferior quality products and not standing behind it. Even Suunto knows its a cheaply made piece of shit.

what was the cost of the watch.
May I ask you what Model number this watch is? I looked up Suunto and Many came up. I would like to take another look at this watch online. Thanks.

Thanks.
I like how this watch looks and knowing how good are products made in Finland.
It´s sad they "all" export their products to be manufactured in China :/
Still i like Suunto watches very much and next im going to buy is this one.
Good video,thanx.

I have sent this watch back twice, the buttons stuck in the first time and the second time was due to water damage. it needs sending back again because the strap has fallen apart. It's no good for military use.
Gshocks or timex expeditions are way better
Very interesting my friend, that's a genuine choice-changer for me....
I've often used Suunto, I'm not military connected, but I climb at a reasonably high standard - so require a hardcore piece of kit.
Thanks for your input man....
TO MANY SUN TOOO WHEN YOUR MANAGE TO CHECK WHAT TIME IT IS ON A NEGATIVE SCREEN.
Hard to fathom why a "military" watch only has a 30 meter water resistance. I'll stick with my Sinn.
Casio 100 times better .
Depends on the use .. for comfort I prefer this or my Garmin..
Equalizer movie watch
Robert McCall watch
Dégoutant , plus fabriqué en Finlande !!
I really like this watch, it looks very nice...but... so many negative rewievs, bad buttons, cheap strap, short battery life, Im so confused right now...
Does it tell the time ?
Hey does the reverse time show all the time, or does it go black, and how is battery life like? I always wanted a Suntory purely for the look of it.
James Bond watch!!!
quick question, how much does the battery last? on average, thanks!

cute bracelet
A lot of people want to use this watch as a diving watch and you wouldn't recommend this because of 2 things:
- the watch is rated and tested as a dive watch (ISO 6425), a really stupid thing that Suunto did and they don't inform they customers properly about this matter. ISO 6425 is a diving watch standard and you can find more information in these links:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_Resistant_mark
blog.thewatchenthusiast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/ISO-6425.pdf
- and if water will get inside the unit...well then you'll need to pay $140 USD to have this unit replaced (even if the watch is under warranty) and it's user damage (for Suunto of course).
+Theodor Christian For diving you really need 100m+ I take it in pool or sea to swim thats about it.
Can you change temp from C to F ???
Yes!
Is this watch count step or heart rated
UPDATE..Got myself a PRW2500 and I love this watch. Never leaves my wrist. Radio control solar power..the watch takes care of itself
@@trevorb7645 does that watch have gps?
What the price of this gadget
if the strap breaks, is it easy to replace?
you can buy new straps of it. easy to fit.

Watch sucks but nice nails! Do you swoop down from trees and grab your prey with them?
Then why are you looking for videos about a watch you don't like? have you owned this watch? Your asking a man of color if he swings from trees? really? #racist
@@TheNomadsLens You're an idiot. Seriously and seriously cut your nails.
@@TheNomadsLens I am a woman of color you POS. When bird's of prey owls, Eagles or Hawks go after prey they swoop down and grab them with their claws. Nice try though you weak fool. Looks like you're the racist with what you we're thinking. No I haven't owner the watch. My husband has. I was looking for a military style watch I wanted ppl to know the watch sucked. You sick twisted freak
@Julie Mehlic AKA Catfish. Why do men with nails trigger you so much? You're incredibly insecure about your manhood that you demand people live according to your rules? What's the word for that? Sharia law
@Christine Allison sure sure your a girl you and Julie Mehlic
