Someone Is replacing a G Shock. Um I would not do that. G shocks are the king for the non mechanical beauty's They are top notch for sure. They can even do more than this watch . Some of them.
Great watch if I can just get the darn compass to work normal. Just tell me where I am. I dont need it set or tell me if EAST etc Just be a compass or what have I done so wrong to never figure it out.
I've had the watch for 3 days now, and I can see the battery indicator (I'm sure it's the low battery indicator) positioned at the upper-centre right side of the display when it plays with the light. I don't think it has the capabilities to tell you exactly how much battery power left.

I agree with your feelings about the Core; however, I wouldn't recommend pressing buttons under water.

All the Suunto Core's of this model suffer from backlight problems..
