Great point!
When you cook the rice in the oven, the heat is indirect, so it is different from cooking the rice on the stove. It won't get overcooked. Hope you give this recipe a try and let us know how it comes out for you.
This is my favorite recipe for stuffed peppers. Been using it for years. Love it!!
I've made these for MANY YEARS and yours are very good...I did add sage because it gives it an added layer of taste. One thing I ALWAYS DO TO EVERY RECIPE THAT CALLS FOR CANNED TOMATOES I USE FRESH TOMATOES.
This is delicious! If anyone is wondering what rice to use, I did jasmine since it cooks fast. And it is perfect!
This looks yummy. I am gonna try it today after work. Thank you
Made this for dinner tonight and it was a hit--a new family favorite! Thanks so much for the delicious recipe!
... so reminds me of how I used to get this as a child ....MMMMMMM GOOD...
Looks so tasty. Can't wait to try them. Thank you

Looks Absolutely Amazing !! Thanks For The Share.
Of all the recipes on making bell peppers this is the easiest one , thank you soo much for sharing, my brother want me to make them for him, he grew them in his garden..again thanks for sharing
anyone wondering why you need two full cans of condensed tomato soup just to put a tablespoon of it on top each pepper?
You put the rest in the bottom of the pan
Yes.
I wouldn't even use condensed tomatoe soup, just use canned tomato sauce
Use the soup. Straight tomato sauce had a bitterness you don’t want here.
Yes! I was going to comment that! I have a leftover bowl of tomato soup. My wife said "well I guess we are having grild cheese and tomato soup tomorrow.
these are AMAZING!!!! not sure what I did different but will add more sauce next time.
I L O V E this recipe.... and my family enjoys it every time 🤤❤️ ...
Looks great! I will try it!
That looks good and easy I am going to try that
Looks delicious! Going to try it tomorrow!
I'm going try make it for sure. Looks yummy
Great question! There's really no right or wrong way. Depending on whether you cook the beef ahead of time or not, the total cooking time will vary for stuffed peppers. One benefit to cooking the beef separately, is that you'll be able to skim the extra fat once it is browned.
Great recipe and tips! Thanks
I tried it, i liked it!😀 Thanks, nice vid!
Looks pretty darn good!
I tried your recipe it was delicious! Thanks!
Leonard Andico
Wow . Thank you.
Making them tonight!😊
Thank you for this recipe! It looks fantastic, I'm going to surprise my wife tonight with this dish.
J Gamez this is the cutest comment I've ever read
J Gamez Almost makes me want a husband, lol
J Gamez what a great husband you are
Thank you for the question. Yes, you are right, the idea is to use all of the sauce to spoon on top on the peppers and for the base of the baking dish as well. If you still think it is too much, you can use less. Happy cooking! Please let us know how the recipes turns out for you.
I enjoy having an abundance of sauce / red gravy, it absorbs all the other flavors, i dont think it is too much sauce
OMG it look so yum!
I made this for dinner last week and it was awesome. So I came back to favorite this video and figure out how to make it again....still learning how to cook, so I have to make it a few time before I commit it to memory :P
Great question Jennifer. These peppers are pretty filling on their own. We'd recommend serving them with a green salad or some green vegetables - asparagus, green beans, broccoli. Enjoy!
Thank you for the recipe me and my wife are getting ready to eat some stuffed peppers here shortly we made it the exact same way
Do you know what a run-on sentence is?
Looks good.
wonderful thank you
Amazing
looks good
Superb thanku🙋♀️
Great suggestion! Let us know how your healthy version of this recipe turns out!
I added the shredded cheese on top rather then stirring it in it was so good >.>
Making it now! Thanks
Let us know how you like this recipe :)
My mom loves how it looks
Hi Ankita. You can try using a microwave or the stove for these instead of the oven.
This is my go to recipe! My bf let's me just cut up the green peppers and put it in the mix and add 1 can tomato soup... I don't even have to put in oven this way.
My husband loved it.
Thank you yummie
Yummy!! ♥
my mouth is watering
Thank you
looks good enough to eat
Demi Nestopoulos Loves Stuffed Green Peppers In Greece
Old post but it's in the oven now, hope it comes out good!
Beautiful. ..I layer my ingredients in pepper, but I think I like yours better:-)
I try those before The first time Yummy 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 And Oh boy they are good
Just made it but I improvised a little. Delicious :P
Now if only I had the ingredients I would definitely make this for Tonight's Dinner. And some Mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad with some Baklava as the Desert.
Yes!! This is great 👌👌👌 very delicious stuffed bell pepper 👍👍👍 You know you are a beautiful channel 😍😍😍 Thank-you so much 💟💌👍
What if I don't have the worseasher sauce
@@tammybaker7926 ...put it on the want list... you could try kitchen bouquet ... or other enhancer ... in a real pinch try soy ... but that's all salt ...
very yummy looking!
I love this recipe. I usually add to meat garlic, parsley, cumin and curcuma and it's awesome, and I use fresh tomato. Thanks for sharing'
Curcuma? That's a flower. What's its use besides a flower?
Beth Carden curcuma, better known in english as turmeric, is a yellow seasoning. IT is used in things like curry and mustard to make them yellow.
L👀KS Delicious👍👍
I would recommend not boiling the peppers. I sauté the beef with onions/garlic and stuff them with mozzarella, cap and cook at 350 for 15/20 minutes. The peppers are somewhere between soft and crunchy, personally I like that better than a just soft pepper.
@@lauriepfeifer6232 An unexpected added bonus for sure. Glad it helped you Laurie!
I never boil my peppers I just add a little water to the pan not a lot and cover the pan. They come fine nice and tender.
I knew it thanks for assuring me. Will cook this 😉
Agreed
I've been looking for a good recipe to try, but I'm gonna tweek it a lil bit. I'm gonna use 50/50 beef and sausage, gonna used leftover rice and I'm gonna use a sloppy joe mix in the mix and on top. Should turn out pretty good.
I'm going with everything you said, except sloppy joe sauce, I'm just using fresh marinara sauce and English blue cheese.
...your not tweeting the idea you creating a new one ...like mini meat loaves with blue cheese sauce ... go for it ... do tell how they turned out ...
This is the only recipe that I've seen that makes sense and it's more like the traditional recipes. I saw one that had something like Polska keibasa in it, noooooo, lol
I do use a spoon & scrap out the inside of the pepper before blanching in water
Tomato soup makes everything taste good!
Tried it and they were good. I used tomato sauce instead of soup
May i ask why you opened 2 whole can of tomato soup for a drop on top?
My go to specialty is spaghetti and meatballs but I want to try this and get out of the box.
How do you make stir fry
I think I'm going to substitute the ground beef for ground turkey. Also substiute white rice for brown rice to make the dish healthier.
Why does everyone parboil their peppers ? I never do and they are fine after baking. And what is up with everyone adding cheese ? Is that a northern thing ? I grew up n the south and we don't add cheese. We do use chopped onion, garlic, celery, and some chopped green pepper, saute. Add browned and drained grounded beef, cooked rice and 2 to 3 tablespoons steak sauce. Mix & stuff peppers. Top with 2/3 cup catsup mixed with Large can crushed tomatoes. Use covered baking dish, bake @350 for 45 min
I wonder how it would turn out if you cooked the rice separately in a rice cooker.
you just uploaded a stuffed bell pepper recipe last week
Its not necessary to par boil the peppers, they will soften in the oven.
hi , i do not owe a oven can i use microwave ?
I have never par boiled my peppers, or cooked the meat and rice before putting it in the pepper, wondering if it tastes any different
I don't either, never have. They always come out delicious.
The tomato soup ruined it for me. I'd make it without that.
Right and I wouldn’t add the cheese.
I use tomato sauce instead of tomato soup.
Could always use diced tomatoes
What oven temperature?
what happened to the sauce at the end ?
Is any one know what kind of sauce she put in? Thank you
No tomatoe soup just z good marina sauce top with more cheese at the end
Turkish food 😍
Just made some now, but instead of beef I added bacon. Also a bit of sour cream, diced jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese as well. Mmm...
Eric Iverson I wanna try the way you did it ! I'm actually gonna try it out.
Wow. I can't believe this is so
Popular. Not the way momma did it.
...this is exactly how it was made tho ...
It doesn't have to be green peppers, right? I've been seeing only green in various websites, when I prefer red peppers. Would it taste different maybe?
Thank you for your question, Eva. You can certainly use any color bell peppers. The red, yellow, and orange bell peppers are sweeter than green and will taste fantastic! Enjoy :)
Thank you!
Eva Sidera good question. I think I'm gonna try ALL colors
is all of that sauce on top used? that looks a little too much to me.
What kind of sides are good with this? Or does it need sides?
...you could call a pizza place and get a great salad and bread sticks ...
❤️
you shoul wash the rice :(
What is the best kind of rice to use? will minute rice do?
Choose your favorite type of rice, glax57. It can be white or brown rice, short or long grain. Some home cooks love basmati rice, while others prefer jasmine rice. You have lots of choices, and the peppers will be tasty with any of them.
Did you do it at 350
Yes, Jessica Prescott. The oven temperature is 350 degrees F. (175 degrees C), and they're baked 25 to 35 minutes.

okay so some recipes/videos say that you cook the ground beef before you stuff the peppers and then bake them together, but others say that your stuff the peppers while the beef is still raw and then bake them. Which one is right?
...bake raw fillings for the longer times covered... if you are browning the meat first then filling... there usually done when peppers are soft ... micro them a bit to start ... baked covered to hold in steam heat so cheese on top easily melts either case tho ...
NIce! But who says that the peppers have to be green? Make it pretty--use orange, red, yellow, and purple, too!
...even try Pobalanto peppers and finger peppers altho they can be hotter ...
Temperature in the oven?
400
Im too lazy to cook meat so Im just gonna use the leftover meatloaf.. Lets see how it turns out!!
she even put in green uncooked pepper shells in the tray
Bake at what temp?....350?
Thank you for your question, Jay. You are correct, these peppers are baked at 350 degrees F. Enjoy!
what kind of sauce are you using
Hi, Greg Montemayor - The sauce is tomato soup mixed with a little water to make it thinner. Here's a link to the original recipe so you may review the directions to prepare it: allrecipes.com/recipe/17991/stuffed-green-peppers-i/
