We Broke Down! First Road Trip In Our Frankenstien Thunderbird!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 вер 2024
- After swapping our 89 5 speed Thunderbird Super Coupe from a supercharged single port 3.8 V6 over to a GT35 Chinese eBay turbocharged setup a few months ago we have yet to test the car out on a real road trip. So we are going to try to take a family road trip to the Rod Run car show at Pigeon Forge Tennessee. It is just over 200 miles round trip and we have never drove this car anywhere yet aside from just around our local area. Can we make it there and back? Let's find out together.
The car has a stock Super Coupe short block aside from the billet hydraulic roller camshaft. It has 97 F150 dual port heads that I ported at home and Pac 1218 valve springs and Comp retainers. It also has a 99-04 New Edge Mustang intake manifold with the flaps removed so it runs on both ports all the time " may be a mistake". It is running on E85 fuel thanks to Holley Terminator X ECU, 80 pound fuel injectors, and Holley 450lph fuel pump. It also has a Centerforce clutch and eBay Chinese blow off valve and waste gate. It is currently running on 15psi post with no intercooler. #winwithholley

Mama has the brick in the foot syndrome 😂😂😂🚙💨 best family on UA-cam 👍🏽
Yes she does
I agree!!
Mom likes to scare the young-ins. She gets the psyco eyes and smile. She-a sweet Momma.
💯
Metal crocks 😂😂
Thanks for taking us along . Not been able to go to the rod run in a long time. You guys are a blessing for disabled folks . We get to take adventures through you . God bless you guys and stay burger king and dollar gentral humble. 🤗🐐
True love them as if they were my family
Yes ma’am for sure
You touch my heart about being disabled. This is a Blessing to bond over God's creation on this channel. Hugs over the net.🌍🌎🌏🏜🏝🏟🕍🏘
@@lloydmaynard32 love them more than some of my family
Be well!
Josh, it is clear that the way Tosh drives isn't going to change, you will have to build them with more durable parts to withstand it! 🤣
Apparently so
It’s like Tosh graduated from the Chicago school of driving! I approve of the fastness lol.
It was great tagging along with you guys. Congrats on the successful trip in the Thunderbird. Keep up the good work and the cool videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
Thank you I’m glad you liked it
Thanks for the road trip and car show. You southern folks do have a lot of interesting attractions down there. I went to the annual spring opening of my old friend Jerry Bundy's car warehouse in Somers , Ct. this morning. He stores about 100 cars in this building for the winter everything from a 1952 Willys Jeep to his 1941 Cadillac four door convertible and 1957 Ford Fairlane hardtop convertible. I went up with my 1987 Crown Vic wagon, got to see and visit with Jerry ( he is 87 years old now ) and saw some really cool cars including a 1967 Pontiac GTO, a 1966 Buick Riviera and a 1967 Camaro. Always a good day to finish up the day with a Sleeperdude video. Take care guys and stay safe.
That’s so cool 😎
Thank you for taking us with you on another epic sleeperdude adventure! I have to admit, with you being a mechanic, the dash lights made me laugh.
Defiantly a duck tape and band-aid adventure! Seriously, enjoyed sharing your adventure. Your family is the highlight of the trip - all have their own distinct personality, and add a lot to the video. Best part is that you didn't have any problems with the casings, hoops, or whatever you're calling the tires.
Yes for sure !!
I loved taking my Family there and seeing all those great old Cars and Trucks. I haven't been in years sadly. Thank you all for bringing back some great memories. Liked and shared as always. All my very best.
It’s a great place. Thank you for watching
Thanks Sleeperdude family for the road trip. It was great to tag along with you all. Cheers and love from Australia.
Thank you
I used to work on vehicles an go to car shows with my GPA till he passed in 07 watch y'all's video's calms me down relaxs me an just enjoy yalls spirits
It's nice to see you all having fun once in a while! I know you put a lot of time into your vehicles and that's "fun" as well, but getting away making memories with the family is priceless. Glad Tosh was able to get the systems cleared out. That's the way to do it, I'm "Team Tosh"! WTG! Thanks for letting us tag along with you!
Man..I got 2 sleeperdude2 and one regular channel video this week...it must be Christmas!! I love these videos...I could watch you and your awesome family all day everyday..yall need an "osbournes" style reality show...yall are just too much!!
Thank you. Yeah we are trying to crank out the content for you guys!!!
That "breakdown" is on you, sleeperdude.
Talkin' it up jinxed you.
Ralphie was just the messenger.
Love to see the family enjoy spending time with each other. Hard to find these days. Blessing to all
Was really great meeting yall at the show. Thanks again for taking time to chat. Hope to see yall again if you hit the Hot Rod Power Tour.
Awesome! Great seeing you as well.
It's nice knowing that you guys take these little trips now and then, because you're going to all the places that I'd love to go to but can't! So, I'll just live vicariously through you all! Thanks for the Road Trip!!!!
Josh finally splurged on himself. Everything he got. He needs. Wires crimpers ..relays. Good for you sleepa dude
Thank you
I had my 92 Thunderbird for about 2 weeks. I come out of the store and the car wouldn't start! The previous owner installed an alarm system that de-activated the ignition switch! Ugh. I had the local stereo store remove the alarms electronics, what a mess that alarm was. After it was removed no issues!!!! That's cool you took your T-Bird on a family trip!!
I had that happen to me on a BMW 3 series I had
I really hope she gets a big ticket going that FAST with those kids in the car no way
What a Great array of vintage cars especially that paint job on the Nova 👍👏🙌 Thank's for taking us along 😎
The articulation on that Snapper was next level!
Glad it was just the wire for the fuel pump. Nicest car you showed was the 427 4 speed Galaxy. Thanks for posting.
Enjoyed the video my wife got a kick out of seeing me on there talking to you guys .And that was the longest trip we had made in the 67 Galaxie .Enjoy all you videos keep up the great work .GOD BLESS
I’m glad you liked it it was nice to meet you
It’s pretty cool seeing the old style models cars
Glad y'all went and not me. My old nerves won't take that any more. Good job!
😀😀😀😀
Dear Sleeperdude family
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, what a great video. If at all possible I love to watch your family trip vids even more than the "usual" ones (although there fortunately is no such thing than "usual" existing on this channel). Additionally this trip was even to a "car show city". Your car runs very, very well and sounds even better. Congratulations!
2) Please kindly allow me to suggest something about the heavy foot driving: Simply put a piece of wooden board under the gas pedal when Sleeperdude mom is driving. So the engine can't be revved up as fast (and not so high). Consider to camouflage the board piece at least with some black paint so that Sleeperdude mom isn't able to spot it. It mustn't be wood, any material that will block off the pedal from full throttle will do. 😁 ;-) 😜😘😇
Of course I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next video.
Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and health in particular. To all of you of course!
Thank you 😊
Dear @@sleeperdude2690 family
You're welcome, it's my pleasure.
2) Thanks for replying and especially for another heart. As you know, I always and totally appreciate both very much.
3) So you don't like my idea, sigh! 😔
Or was it Sleeperdude mom answering my comment? 😁😁😁
Sincerely yours.
26:25 About 20 years ago, my late Pa owned an antique business inside a big barn there to the left in Wears Valley. He and his mountain buddies set up a stage inside that barn and would play bluegrass every Friday and Saturday night in front of a small crowd. (side note: we’re from Carthage…he decided to get him a place up there in the mountains around 2001 or so) Those were the good ole days! Definitely great memories growing up. I always have to drive that way anytime we head to Pigeon Forge. A piece of Pa will forever live up there. I just wish that area would stop growing…pretty soon it won’t be a small mountain community anymore with all the mountain coasters and other tourist traps they’re building!
I like old car shows i like seeing old cars from fiftys. Thanks for your vidios scott
Thanks so much
Home Sweet Home. If you like crowds you'll find it there. You are correct about Wears Valley and almost anywhere there, of course my favorite, Cades Cove.
Ok thanks
I wish you could have more videos! I could watch you everyday all day! This channel is is #1 in my book
Awww, don't blame poor Ralphie. You can't let the boy get dehydrated! 😂
Thank you for taking us all along to enjoy PF with your family. I hope to visit with my wife one day when we are able to take an extended vacation. Bless you all!
i've gotton to old to walk at car shows, but really do enjoy going with you guys
Thank you
I am always always always so glad that use the exact same music for your time lapse. It is so much fun. I always look forward to it.
Thanks for the look around ❤️
Thanks for watching
Saw the Carolina Squat Truck. North Carolina outlawed The Carolina Squat last year. Gave people a chance to make the truck proper. The Police put on a sting. Calling all Carolina Squats to a Carolina Squat show. The Impounded every truck.
Oh my gosh
Great video and a great place to visit family friendly P.S. love seeing those bare feet driving and shoes off on passenger side please keep showing them great job 👍,😁
Pigeon forge his financial, but the entire sleeper dude family must attend the Woodward dream cruise it is usually the 3rd August of every year! It is a one of a kind experience and you will regret not having gone up to this point yet.
Love Pigeon Forge!!! Looks like a great time!!!!!
Yes for sure
Y'all just some Beautiful people....God be with you guys always...
Thank you
Thank y'all so very much for allowing me to ride along via video on your family trip. Sleeperdude family is cool as a jewel on a mule 😁👍
😂🤣😂🤣
Road trip vid!! The very best of the best that sleeperdude puts out!! No question in the world about that. Just learning that bad daddy Braddy has the new nick name of Discount Daryl was worth every minute of this one. You just can't find content like this on any other channel on UA-cam. Y'all thank us every vid for watching, but all y'all can't be thanked enough for being the family that you are, servants hearts and all, and providing the endless smiles and laughs watching all y'all. And if all it takes to keep y'all employed is a like and a comment, it doesn't get any easier then that. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
You should of taken the Chrysler with the Corinthian Leather. More room in the back for the kids. Wait was Squeezy wearing shoes??? NO WAY. LOL
Thank you 😊 yes she had shoes on for a short minute
Hello Sleeperdude family thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching
the look on josh's face when it didnt start was classic I could see what he was thinking....
I hope yall wont un friend my for too much talk but this is a mega trip. Also with the wiring stuff, Daddy Josh is bringing home the bacon, Bigggggg Timeeeeeemah. Be like you guys will save soo much and the clear purple toggle switches will do America, and Americans even super more prouder. You all look like, "we be happy :)". In our Happy Place.
Thank you
100 MPH??? She was givin it the BEANS, wasn't she!! 😂 Lots of cool cars! My dad has a 1970 VW Type 3 wagon that he's restoring. My grandpa bought it new back in 1970 and it's been in the family ever since. They are really cool cars. And it's FUEL INJECTED, rare option for that model. Thanks for taking us along!! 😎
Always
Sometimes the simplest things can be the hardest to diagnose.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Come on sleeper dad lets your wife get assigned her to a happy wife is a happy life. Love your family love what you do. I will continue to watch and enjoy all your shows
Was supposed to say let your wife buy a sign or two. Talk texting doesn't come out right
Thank you for your successful trip and I got a lot of family down there in Farragut Tennessee. I live in upstate New York but you taught me a lot on this road trip and I'm going to head down there next year to find a car of my dreams. Thank you again great stuff
That’s awesome thank you
The t bird sounds great I'm sure glad you kept it a 6 cyl I for one am sick of LS swaps different is the spice of life it keeps it exciting and it is cool to see a 6 making good power when I was younger we built an old Buick v6 with a big cam roller setup high rise big 4 bbl headers and port work and put it in a old chevette and made it look stock and very well used and we had a boulevard we raced on and never let anyone know what everyone thought it was some big expensive v8
Yeah for sure
Don't change a thing on your channel as it is great! Even like the music you play when you do the fast forwarding as it would not be SleeperDude if that music was different. Yes I remember going to simular car shows back in the day and car guys just never get tired of looking at the hard work and engineering that people can people can do on their pride and joys. Was the wife almost doing Double nickles? Naa must be speedO error for sure! LOL So glad you had a great trip and so glad you brought us along as it was a blast. Please for you and all your family be safe and well. Expat Dave in Ibague, Colombia 🇨🇴
Thanks Dave
Thanks for taking us with Sleeperdudes, more than likely I will never see it in person. Just a little test on the way back, hope that is covered now.
Central California watching.
The first gen El Camino is my favorite too. Also, the 66-67 Chevy II Nova is my dream car.
Awesome thanks
2:13 into video already classic!!! I have a feeling Momma is gonna Dance and Daddy is gonna Rock & Roll on this one. Strap on yo foot gear or not and get your RCs and Viennas!!!
Yup yalla better watch out for dem Smokies in the Smokies br-549. The laughing and the chuckling is way over the semi- truck load of Corn Dog fixings, ever! ===== chuWheeee or is it shawuuuuuuwwwoooooooooooooooooooooop!!!!

Mom is really smooth on them gears, one of the best I've seen.
But mom gotta slow down a bit, imagine if you blow a tire at 90mph with everyone you love in the car with you.
also, please get off them energy drinks, you're going to need your kidneys.
carry on!
Tell people Squeege's art is available for bids.
Keep the videos Coming.
Thank you and yes your right
Thanks for the ride-along, I do enjoy a good car show, it is so great that your family goes along.
It sucks that mama almost got blamed for that😂 I like those old thunderbirds, i can remember the old 4 cylinder turbo models good luck finding one.
When the car would not start, but the guy next them car did, Josh said, well, his car started....lol
I’m glad you liked it
Dude. I just did a 5400 mile trip on my bike that included going through that area. I thought about how awesome it is that you as a family do these things. Keep on keeping on brother.
That was an awesome car show
I agree the black impala with the cat eyes was a beautiful classic...
you should make a cover for the fuel lines that you have in the trunk so they don't get pulled out by accident...
Would love to see some more small builds like the "drift" trike.... Thanks for the entertainment!
We need to get on some of those
@@sleeperdude2690 when do we get to see a motorcycle get some work done?
Yes the super dude family is the best family on utube😅!!!!!!!!!!
I seen a station wagon on a flat bed just like the red one you sold recently. It was very solid!
I haven't heard a good, "2 claps and a Ric Flair" in ages. I'll be honest with ya.......I miss it.
Great stuff !!! Thank you all for sharing your journey!!! Thank God you all had a safe and all most trouble free trip !!!! God bless each one of you !!!!! Eddy

That’s the gun stuff
Great video. Great car show. T-BIRD ran great.
Thank you
Great ain’t nobody surprised it made it. Car also survived “Crock foot”. That needs to be a t shirt. Care for that sunburn.
Hope you stopped by Mel's Classic Diner: Good food, lots of it & smilin' sassy waitresses. Also Don Marco's Kitchen in Sevierville, but that's more expensive.
I think those were Torque Tube headers on that one T. We've taken the route through Ware's Valley as well - but to Geocache® So great to see a family having fun just being together and seeing things- reminds me of when I was a kid.
For a 30 minute video I gotta say, DAMN GOOD CONTENT! 🫡🙏🏼🤙🏼
Thank you
Thank you for all your videos and all your amazing adventures! Loved seeing all the oldie but goodies!
That was a lot of fun! There was a million cars out there!!!
I hope when that Buc-ee's opens it give us some relief here in Crossville, if you have to drive anywhere near that place traffic is horrible, even today traffic on the interstate was at a near standstill on I40 all the way past the exit before Buc-ee's, I had to take the long way way to work this afternoon and traffic was still horrible from everyone else trying avoid I40
That’s crazy
I've got to get down there for that one year. Great town to visit
