My husband lost his grandpa in 1985. He taught my husband everything he knows about cars, farming and logging and they we inseparable. My husband has his grandpa's old 70 Chevy truck and spent 7 years restoring it. He loved his grandpa Soo much and misses him. You are a great grandson sleeperdude
I can sympathize with u Sturdy. I lost my dad to a heart attack in the middle of covid. Then my family took everything. Including the 18K he put away to get his 70 Cutlass back.😡 Talking helps brother we're here for ya.
Teaching your grandpa how UA-cam works is my favorite way to remind people to subscribe. There's not much in life as sweet as a grandpa and his grandson.
seeing your grandpa laugh out loud when you trun up the driveway , smiling when he drove it...golden .... and yes...you gotta love those old cars ... like our grandparents they are our history . Love your series Sleeperdude
What a wonderful way to honor your Grandfather. I have a picture of my Papaw on his favorite " One eyed mule" name Old Jack. The stories that our parents and grandparents tell us are so precious. Well done young man well done. Both my father and grandfather have passed on now, but I look forward to seeing them again when the Lord tells it time.😇😇
My dad had a '30 Model A and we used to go and get ice creams in the rumble seat, those were the days. Love to hear you and your grandfather tell stories and see the smiles. UA-cam needs more of that!
You have one of the best channels on UA-cam. I love that Ralphie is out there helping you. You talking to your grandpa reminds me so much of when I was able to talk with mine. Just hearing the old stories is awesome.
Your so lucky to have such a wonderful family, the kids look at you with such pride when they are with you on your drives out and it's really heartwarming to see this, it's always a pleasure to watch your videos, thanks for creating them, much love from Wales UK ❤️🏴👍
You are lucky to have such a great grampa! You need to do as many of the videos of you and grandad. You will get old and be able to back and these will be e worth more than gold!!!!! Thank you for you letting me to look in to your family like this!
I decided to watch your videos again, I came across the day you gave your grandpa his Ford Model T. It touched me how happy, and a beautiful enchanting smile of your grandpa. I don’t have any of them alive, and the fact you shared him with us, that is priceless. I am glad that your children is close to him, and the home, and participating in your projects. They are the future. What a great moment. He was like a kid again picking up a Christmas present.
Your channel is the kind that a lot of other channels need to emulate. Apparently a great family with wholesome respectful values. A love of family and getting them involved and your work ethic is outstanding. I love the old cars and trucks, any truck older than 1978 is wonderful and any car older then the early 70's. I enjoy watching your channel and look forward to more videos.
The mechanical brakes, when properly adjusted, are actually pretty good at stopping. You can get steel belted radial tires for model A now too. I have them and they make a big difference on the drive stability.
Hey sleeperdude ! Thanks for taking us along to grandad’s ! Was a real nice ride ( sorry about the fuel mileage 😔 ) with the girls , ralphie and yourself . Real cool that dad made into the video 😊. Grandad is looking very well and God bless him being so strong . Yes sir , that fresh mountain air does well for folks in southern states ! He just looked happy as he could be to get to take the old Henry j out for a spin . Times don’t get better than that . That ford sedan sitting in dads garage is one solid car . Tell you what , we got to respect folks who drove them , back in the day . Driving cars that size , no power steering or brakes , now that’s skill . Muscle too . Even the women who drove them , guess we would have to remember not to upset them because they probably were stronger than they looked ! That’s what I love about them old cars and trucks , if you want to drive them , you got to work for it ! Did all your own maintenance too . How we changed as a country . Tell you what , that timing adjustment took me back to school . I thought I had it all down when I aced points and condenser and setting dwell . Nope , that changes the whole game . Just driving it would have feeling like I’m in the engine room , dialing in every control . Well I guess we are spoiled by vacuum advance and accelerator pedals . Still would keep it original , even if there were a Holley sniper system for it 🤣 . Well sir , your one man who can say “ you haven’t lived until you’ve driven a model T or a model A ford . There’s a difference in operation but unless we forget , there are still the old friction shocks and linkage rods for brakes . Your daughter was just barely hanging in there but will give her all the credit that she’s got the courage compared to some girls her age . Lucky if you can get anyone these days to appreciate where we came from in terms of our automotive past , much less before we had a lot of conveniences . Your grandad let us know just how it was then . Tell you what , I couldn’t shine his shoes . I’m proud of folks like him . More folks need to appreciate that . Well , want to thank you for a good time with the family and a real nice video . Thank you all ! ✌🏻
i'm a 72 year old dude from vancouver canada, and i just discovered your site and i love it and your family. gives me faith that not all americans are crazy, love the old cars, keep up all the great work.
Nice work on the old car, guys! And how great to see your grandpa, he reminds me of my dad actually. There are so many great people like your grandpa out there, still with lots of stories to tell and lessons to teach!
I am so glad that I was a grown adult when my grandfather passed away. He died a year after my grandma did but yet they were both 94 years old when they passed away my grandma 2002, grandpa 2003! They lived excellent lives and though I knew them as family, they were people that I looked up to! You cherish the time that you have with your grandfather Josh! Because, we aren't here forever, but we are here for a good time . God-bless you!
Great video. When I was a kid back in the 50’s a family friend let my dad borrow a model A to drive until our car was fixed. We sure got a lot of looks driving around in that thing but I thought it was the coolest car ever.
Us guys who aren't kids anymore can look back at a lot of those neat stories. When I started high school, a '57 Chevy was a (just) a13 year old car... my daily driver now is a 17 year old Lexus. Could probably have bought a clean '57 convertible for well under a grand, and I noticed then that Corvettes in the classified ads were never less than $1000.
You and your kids were picking their favorite projects, I pick the motorcycle with Ralphie and the pickup with mom and son and dad running the camera. I enjoyed the test drive with you daughter and going over the bridge with the other daughter. You made your granddad's year and when you told him that your dad helped you got a big smile. You did good!
Your Grandpa is such a nice guy. I must be about his age, I was born in 1938. I have lots of Grandchildren, but don't get to be with them very much. Enjoy your Grandpa as long as you can.
Just to see the smile on Grand pa`s face would be worth driving 6 hours ! Those memory`s you have made for all of you are( PRICELESS ) .... I FREEKING LOVE IT , , , GREAT VIDEO MY FRIEND !

Indeed. I also saw the look on your grandfathers face. Wow. "A Family Proud" Is the only way I can see this event. Be safe and healthy Sleeperdude. Amen Bra. Amen!
I love the family history! Hearing you explain to your grandfather how to use youtube! Precious! If you already haven't take your laptop over there and watch together.
Boy you sure did make your Grandpa's day. His laugh and smile says it all. Reminds me of the days I had with my Grandpa...My mother always said I was his favorite son.
Sleepersdude what a good video man. That was awesome to see your grandpa Drive is 1928 ford sedan again after 17 years of not driving it. I know you got to be his favorite grandson. Just driving around in it and listening to his stories from back in the days is just awesome man. Your wife had me laughing where she had her toes hitting at on the way back home trying to warm them up. That was cool seeing you wearing your flip-flops to your grandparents house and back on. I can't wait to get this cast off my foot so I can drive again & wear both of my flip-flops again. It's killing me just to wear one flip flops right now. Good video buddy thank you for making & sharing.
Your channel is such a breath of fresh air. In a world of so much negativity this is so positive and good old fashioned family values and good times. There is old footage back in those days that people took those cars through terrain that would have most modern cars stuck
Great video, love the old cars, also really enjoyed watching your grandpa light up when he saw his car pull up. Also loved how once he was in it and driving it triggered some of good old memories for him. Warms your heart to see him so happy with his car surrounded by Family. Thank you for sharing. God bless
I loved how intent you listened to your grandpa, and what he was saying. You were hanging on his every word. I miss that with mine, he taught me so much.
Family is everything. It's very heartwarming to watch your videos, and see the dynamics of your family. In our century, cars seem to be a thread that weaves through everyone's lives..new, old, broken and restored. I can almost smell the blow-by, and the non ethanol gas, watching that old Model A. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I am from Quebec..french of course and not a perfect bilingual but...it is obvious that this old man is appreciating those moments so......from the bottom of my heart I have to say....thank you ❤ God bless you Mathieu (matthew), downtown Montreal PQ
My favorite video by far. To see all the generations of your family enjoying common interests is pure treasure. Thanks for sharing your family with us!
I love the way your family is involved sleeperdude. But the look on your face when you and your Paw were riding and he was talking about old times was abso-freakin-lutley priceless. One of the best channels on UA-cam for sure.
I think that’s the best thing you can do for your grandfather I see that you do a lot for him cherish all the thing you I miss my grant father big supper fan thanks
Great to see an original one that has not been customised. Also good that several generations of the same family get to experience 1920s style driving.
That was a great video it took me back when I was a kid my grandparents lived in Birmingham Alabama old plantation house had a long set of barns down behind it and he had an old model a in one of those barns had 12 original miles on it he bought it for my grandmother to go get groceries tried to teach her how to drive it and when he did she almost hit a tree and she said she didn't want to see that thing ever again so he put it in the barn and it sat there for years and my uncle kept it up on blocks kept all in it kept putting oil on the tire so they wouldn't dry right and once a month he would go down there and fire it up let it run for about 30 minutes and cut it back off never did get to see it go down the road or ride in it great memories
I really enjoyed this video!! I miss my grandparents a lot! Spend as much time as you can with them before there gone! Learn as much as you can from them. A lot of great history there.
I really enjoyed watching this video with your grandfather driving the car and listening to the two of you talking about his youth it was really fantastic
It’s been a week now of just exploring your great content , have to say it’s very special. To share something silimiliar I found a note in my dads belongings of him at 13 writing to his mother , it’s was his summer trip out to the Murphy’s ranch when he was just this young man , so proud in his telling of his adventures upon given the task of driving an old Ford to town, picking things up from town .
I love your channel. It brings me back to the way I grew up. By the time I was 9 I knew every part on a car. I grew up driving through the mountains of PA. Looking for parts for the model a and b. In those days that's the only way to find them. Anyway I love your channel.
Its amazing how your part of Tennessee looks like Northern Vermont around St Albans or Sheldon. I was raised in Wickliffe ky and lived 20 yrs in Grand Isle VT and I miss it so much. I live in Lubbock Tx and you're hard pressed to see more than 2 trees in one place.
Whoo whooo !! Really cutting the grass with that ol fella. And the hat !!! Gangster fer sure!! Lol . Hello to all in da clan of Sleeperdudes..and dude these. Lol
Is the visual radiator Guage on the dashboard or the hood ornament on the cap on the hood 🤔 seeing you and your Grandpa grin from ear to ear....PRICELESS!
God bless you and your family... I really appreciate your videos. It reminds me of home and how I would talk my Daddy into riding or driving old cars I would fix up. I'm 66 years old now and really miss my Dad and Mom. 🙏
That’s just so awesome. Grampa is a great man. I never got to meet both my grampas. My mother’s dad died shortly after I was born in 77 and my dad’s dad died in 75. Cherish the moments, buddy.
It was nice you could spend time with your father and Grandpa. Talking cars. Very thoughtful on your family’s part. That’s time everyone cherish’s glad to see your whole family participation. Blessings! Thank you for sharing!
I was running through some of your older videos and found this one. My dad grew up in Red Boiling Springs Tennessee, and recently we went down there to clean off the old family cemetery. We also got the chance to visit with family we hadn't seen in a good while. I love it down there! Life seems so much easier there. Maybe I'll move back there some day.
Enjoy your slang and accent, great family participation and sharing your experiences and how to’s
Thank you

I love the way your family is involved sleeperdude. But the look on your face when you and your Paw were riding and he was talking about old times was abso-freakin-lutley priceless. One of the best channels on UA-cam for sure.
Thank you I am blessed

Wow that’s crazy
Seeing the joy on your grandfather, put a smile on my face!
Probably your most heart warming video. I hope I get to meet you all sometime.
Thank you. We will be at a couple shows this year

That’s awesome
I love you sharing with the young and the old family
I am blessed
I love your channel. It brings me back to the way I grew up. By the time I was 9 I knew every part on a car. I grew up driving through the mountains of PA. Looking for parts for the model a and b. In those days that's the only way to find them. Anyway I love your channel.

Its amazing how your part of Tennessee looks like Northern Vermont around St Albans or Sheldon. I was raised in Wickliffe ky and lived 20 yrs in Grand Isle VT and I miss it so much. I live in Lubbock Tx and you're hard pressed to see more than 2 trees in one place.
Oh wow that’s cool
Ya done good... Enjoy them while you have them... They're priceless!!!

Love the video of you working on your papa cars glad you can do that and your kids get to know him
Yes very fortunate
I was running through some of your older videos and found this one. My dad grew up in Red Boiling Springs Tennessee, and recently we went down there to clean off the old family cemetery. We also got the chance to visit with family we hadn't seen in a good while. I love it down there! Life seems so much easier there. Maybe I'll move back there some day.
Wow this awesome! The smiles on you and your grandpas faces are priceless! ❤
