- My whole childhood I used to ride my bike to the local Honda Powersports dealer and walk around and look at all the new dirt bikes and four wheelers dreaming of one day being able to buy one. That dream started 30 years ago and I can't believe that it has finally come true. After looking on Facebook Marketplace for used enduro/dualsport bikes and realizing that everything I found was very used and at least 4-5,000$ I went to Honda's website and found ou that they have a brand new model for the US market in 2023 called a XR150L and it is only $2,971 MSRP off the showroom floor. So I thought why buy used when I can have a brand new one for less money?
The specs on this bike are 149cc, 12.5hp, 125mpg, 4 stroke, 5 speed manual, with a top speed in the 60's.

The oldest child is the most important to get any approval. She is so cool and calm when Ralphie is getting attention. She's under rated on how much she contributes to the channel
All the kids seem mature and loving to each other.❤ Even when Ralphie started eating WAWA's almond Rocha candy(?) in the last fan mail; WaWa didn't get upset 😡 😂.
WaWa, it does seem, has a lot to say. I feel that she might have literary talent, like squeezy has artistic talent. Great kids.

I have an artist daughter just like Squeeze, artist are amazing, I'm a musician myself but I think the plastic arts are the best.
Ralphie is really special, I think he might be end up studying mechanical engineering and run a business when older.

I'm not even a fair mechanic, but I have greatly enjoyed your recent burnout episodes with the Gremlin & Pinto too, & the great trip out West with the RVv LOL.
When i was in my 30's i was a workaholic & i never did what you have done when my 2 boys were young (are now are 39 & 37y/o)
The time you spend with them thru all these years (with Ralphie, Wawa & Squeezee) are the highlights of your lives, believe me. And we all can see U & your wife are both gr8 parents.
P.S. We did do a lot of traveling league soccer seasons(10 years worth) & tournaments & practices down here in Florida, they are my gr8est memories with my kids.

Talk about crazy coincidences. For the last week I've been watching videos about that EXACT bike. The price and the size are perfect for light trail riding and scooting around town. I'm seriously tempted to go buy one myself, the only thing holding me back is time....I'll never get to use it the way it's intended to be used.

Had to laugh when the salesman said, “if your mechanical”. I’m 75, and 8 years ago I did the same thing. I bought a Honda 350 road bike. I kept it only one year, my wife was afraid of being on the road. It was my first new bike. I follow “Itchy Boots”! She rides a 350 all over the world. This season she was lent a Bike from India because she is riding in India. Watch her past season, this gal is a world ambassador! Exciting to watch her short videos. She is a classy young lady. I am always afraid for her. But she is so knowledgeable about every country she is in. She’s my friend. Itchy Boots, Noraly Shoemaker (sic) from the Netherlands. She loved doing the desert in our western area. Love your bike!!!! I peddled my bike/motor. As a kid. They sell them today. 😁👍

I bought a new motorcycle this summer too. It's a Kawasaki Z900RS SE. Its a bit more expensive than yours, but I love riding it.

I'm surprised we're just now getting these kinds of bikes in the US. They are literally EVERYWHERE like bicycles in India, Vietnam and so many other Asian places as the main family vehicle. $3,000 brand new bike that'll do 60 is ALL I ever needed when I bought a GSXR600 a decade ago... needless to say even that "small of a" bike was PLENTY of power for me.

Love the family coming together for the epic new bike. Remember when I was a kid we never had any new cars always very well used 3rd and 4th hand.
My uncle never had kids so he and his wife often would buy a new car, caravan or bike and we kids would think it was the coolest thing ever. The smell of the new car and the features we never had.

You mentioned the moped with the cranking pedals. At high school you could lean to ride a 50cc moped that also had the pedals. In the playground supervised by a very old war veteran teacher. Then take your test. Doubt they would ever dream of they now health & safety liability. Would say no.
My dad had a cr 250, and my uncle had a cr 500. My dad made a steel boot insert for my uncle so he could actually start that beast.

P.s. SuperView on the GoPro with the chest mount gives a little better view of everything while riding!

That's so cool. It's such a different experience when you buy a new vehicle, and you don't have to worry about some hidden issue they're not telling you about. I too have only bought one new vehicle in my life, and it was also a Honda. But this looks like much more fun than my 1991 Accord was.

I had a Honda XR125, it was excellent fun. One of the best things i did for it was put a good exhaust on it. You get a bit more power, it sounds great too. The factory exhausts make them sound like a sewing machine. People might say they're too loud, but id rather a car hear me coming and look properly.

You talking about small bikes just clicked with me. My first bike was a Suzuki VanVan 200 and I loved the little bugger to death. Rode it everywhere, cold or rain, I just rode it and had a blast doing it whilst learning to ride a motorcycle. I now have a Kawasaki W650 and I find myself missing the little VanVan 200. So happy for you. You and your family enjoy the little Honda and don't think about it, just ride it. Put a basket on the rear rack and do part pickups with it. Use it for anything and everything. First bike was a Yamaha 90cc Enduro (dual use also) at 16. When I was 30 the local Yamaha shop closed and they had an auction. Bid and got a four year old Yamaha 100cc pure dirt bike. Small enough that I could ride in deep snow and if I got stuck could just drag it to shallower snow.

Hi great bike, learnt to ride on a Honda 175 twin road bike with dirty tyres [casings],in 1974,first new bike was a 2003 620 ducati monster I was 43 years old, I really am a 100 cc two stroke guy, love the smile on every ones faces ,God bless you all 😊

Your arrival at the Honda dealer brought back memories of when I bought my first ATV at our Honda Dealer in Manchester , Ct. in December of 2003. It was a new for 2004 model Honda Rancher 400cc in red color. I also purchased a five foot wide Cycle Country snow plow for it. Sadly it was stolen in June of 2005 while on a quad trip in Western Pennsylvania where our travel group lost five Quad's in one night. Although the thieves were caught one year later none of the Quad's were ever recovered. Fortunately three of the Quad's were insured against theft and we were able to buy newer and better Quad's my new one being a Suzuki King Quad 700 with 48 horsepower, full IRS suspension, low range 4 wheel drive, fuel injection and better ground clearance than the Honda. The motto to this story - always insure your purchase. Two of the guys in our group did not and paid the price - no Quads but they still had to finish paying for them.

I agree. The helmets will mitigate or eliminate brain/skull injuries. It only takes seconds to impact the road/street/highway.

My brand new Honda MT125 cost $650 in 1975. I rode 4000 miles with my dad this year on our bikes, not the Honda. Thanks Dad!

I can remember wanting a dirt bike so bad when I was 11 to 12 years old. I will never forget coming home on the school bus at age 13 , comin round the curve to my house n there sat a XR80 Honda in the front yard with a bow on it for my birthday! It was so exciting! I’m 47 now n understand how hard it was for my mom n dad to purchase it as they were small farm tobacco n soybeans. Congratulations, that’s so cool! Blessings to all!
That engine is rock solid and been around forever. Same as the crf150f and the old xr150. Parts are plentiful and cheap. An leo Vince exhaust and a better air filter. Jet it and it has great power
