Ac did put out a shuttle starting at the d series. The shuttle was located in place of the power director.

My Hydro 70 is a fantastic haying machine. Great in small and unusual field shapes.
Like all colors of tractors, however, grandpa was Farmall, uncle John Deere. Deere broke quite often, grandpas just kept going and going. He also did custom threshing and liked the governor in Farmalls on the belt to run the Nichols Shepard red river thresher

Hydrostatic transmissions , should never have been used on farm tractors. We had an IH 656 hydro. , the hydrostatic transmission, had to be repaired 3 years in a row. Worst idea ever, for tractors, may have been alright for combines , where there is no load on the machine.

You need to redo the audio, very grainy sound. Hard to understand.

My 656 in low range will reach max speed then cut out like the clutch has been depressed then take off like a rocket back to max speed. high range it works fine. Anybody know where to pin point it? TIA

I don’t know if you still have this issue, but it’s almost definitely in the S-R lever linkage. If you take the side plate off the left side, there’s a “T” at the bottom of the lever that rides in a “U” shaped saddle on the end of the reversing valve. Check the end of that T for a taper, it takes very little wear it let it drop into neutral at the end of its stroke. If so, build it up with weld and smooth it off square.
