Year 1 was peak with all the special exams and drama. If im being honest, I feel like year 2 didn't deliver with the choices that were made(example: overhyped villains that disappeared). I really hope year three goes back to the original system and has one big villain along with less focus on Ayanokoji's harem
There has been confirmation by the author that the next chapters and volumes will effectively be more concise, as were the first. I, too, felt exhausted reading page after page of exam descriptions from Chabashira-sensei, classroom questions for further clarification, and Ayanakoji's inner summaries of each point. That was three times longer than it needed to be. Then there were the endless afterschool clandestine meetings with one group after another, replete with propositions, counter propositions, and Ayanakoji's private assessments of the merits and demerits of each proposal. This time it was twice as long as it needed to be. So much dialog and inner musings. Meanwhile, nothing was really happening. In real-time, all these discussions would have lasted into the mornings. There were still classes to attend, club activities, and homework. So the story got very bogged down, and it felt as if there was no plot. (e.g. If all this became the arc of a 13 episode season? . . . Everyone would tune out.) I'm glad that won't be the case for season 3. Whew!!!
You are definitely not reading Year 2 well if you think this way lol😅 The harem barely has any effect on the story mostly because it's not even evident. This year alone has brought out so many I almost want to cry

Also you cannot adapt all those events in only 13 episodes. The anime already proved this having to summarize a +300 pages voume in only 2 chapters because otherwise they won't be able to reach volume 11.5.

Nope, this is where the promise comes, Sakayanagi may have promised that she would compete with Ryuuen if there is a 1vs 1 battle in final special exam, now lets see, the winning class is Ryuuen and they earn 100 CP , then the final score would be Ryuuen getting 100+200= 300 CP but Sakayanagi would only get 100 CP if she won, the current Ryuuen class is 400 CP behind of Sakayanagi, so it's possible that Ryuuen may beat Sakayanagi in the final exam 3, The next vol may even be a whole 3 school year battle, that is the only way Ayanokoji vs Nagumo can occur, In that exam , my prediction is Horikita would be first, ichinose second, Ryuuen or Sakayanagi would be third fourth considering the fact that Sakayanagi has Hashimoto to deal and an unstable situation Bonus points 😉 1, Koenji declared that Ayanokoji is overestimating himself, author is hyping koenji up for a lot of volumes 2, Ai morishita is actually a very intelligent student with high deduction skills, 3, The point difference in the exam of Horikita and Sakayanagi was only 6, if ichinose didn't help Horikita,they might have been dropped to the last place, 4, both Ayanokoji and Koenji was at the risk of dropping out of the exam, although koenji did it deliberately and Ayanokoji genuinely failed to answer, Thanks for reading 😊

They only made ayanojoki fail to answer for comedy reasons, seeing ayanokoji fail is somehow funny to see same as with the yoguty machine, for koenji it was for developpement i don't think the 2 are comparable

To be honest, I think that even though Sakayanagi is leaps ahead of him in intelligence, Hashimoto is quite crafty and in the recent volume Sakayanagi could not prevent his betrayal even if she saw signs of it. I think that it could go either way, but it may be a waste to throw away what could be a crucial plot point. What do you think though?
There is a chance that might happen, but from the signs of growth we saw from Sakayangi as a person Hashimoto may have a hard time trying to expel her.
@NuchaReviews Kiyotaka stated in 9.5 that there would be 3 or 4 more special exams, meaning likely to be 3 or 4 more volumes (including 10) so Year 2 should go up to either 12.5 or 13.5 as we will have the MTC (which will be next volume and may be where Kiyotaka vs Nagumo takes place) and there is also the end of year exam, so that's at least 2 more volumes, possibly 3.
I don't think having that much disparity in class points woul be good as if ichinose class were ar 600 point and the rest were above 800 then ichinose class would have to win every battle moving forward,which would limit the victories for other classes
Getting the class points in a state of balance is the most ideal but you would need Ichinose in Class D to make Ayanokoji's transfer to her class plausible as Ayanokoji moving to the weakest class makes the most scene. Thanks for the comment.
