I think like Ayanokoji, Koenji doesn't want attention either but takes a different approach that makes others despise him and pays little attention to him. If Ayanokoji is capable of acting and masking his true self, Koenji could be as well.

Actually I have a theory about koenji and ayanokoji's relationship. If u read y2 volume 11 then there subaki asked a question about having a brother to ayonokoji . So I believe that subaki somehow knew that ayano have a brother and I think he is non other than koenji bcz koenji kinda know very much about ayano which should not be known by the outsider's (people who doesn't belong to white room) and moreover he has a very much potential like ayano and the only one whom ayano couldn't understand till now. I am telling you guys in year 3 both horikita and koenji will have a big role in defeating ayano and their will be a specific volume for koenji same as white room volume. I don't think he is doing it to challenge nagumo. Also Nagumo's claim about Koenji that he really wants to graduate from class A may be more correct. Still this leaves many questions to answer. Also I think Tsubaki and Nanase hail from thre same facility as Kijima. Evidence for this is that Koenji agreed to work with Nanase while taliking for a small amount of time. And for Tsubaki I think her parents decided to give her to Kijima faction while her elder daughter would attend White room.

I didn't make the connection between the kijima facility and koenji but I came to a similar conclusion where Naoe sent koenji to the anhs while I feel what u said about kijima facility is true but I feel that saying Koenji is motivated by private points is un true cause in Y1V10 keisei and the others try and make a deal with koenji for him to give it his all in exchange for private points but he refuses saying he doesn't need it. We shouldn't forget that koenji is kind of a parallel of koji where both are unreliable narrators or sources of information. And I feel that Koenji's end goal is to beat Ayanokoji as it will prove that Kijima's education policies are better and might be a deciding factor in the election and the reason Koenji hasn't done anything noteworthy until the uninhabited exam is because koji hadn't made any big moves atleast on paper like the test where he got 100% in maths and to prove that Kijima's education was superior he also had to get some results that were visible on paper.

I think what we are witnessing is a battle of various pedagogies; Kijima's facility, The White Room and ANHS, each facility vying for the best way to train elite students. I dare say it will pan out in the way Koji wants to, that the people his father scorned can indeed stand up to geniuses whether artificial or natural in their own collectivistic way.
