haha hurdy-gurdy does sound really funny when you say it ( sometimes i am a child XD) but i will surely check out more, and the suggestions posted in these replies :)
@@Lanon13 You should also check out Black Moon by Cellar Darling. That's the band formed by Eluveitie's former hurdy-gurdy player, who left Eluveitie together with their former drummer and a guitar player... It's worth a listen. 😊
You should definitely check out Heilung if you like these guys. They've got a super cool aesthetic and super different music. Definitely more on the folk side. Their songs Norupo or Alfadhirhaiti (live) are worth checking out.
Think of a Hurdy Gurdy as an inverted violin. The crank operates a rosined wheel turning. With the keyboard you push strings to it making a resonance in the wodden body of the instrument and thus creating the sound. My favourite band
Yeah, I also really like the band but I'm not a big fan of his vocals. I'd suggest checking out the song "Epona" No harsh vocals in it - it's all her singing, and it's sung in Gaulish. Plus the music video is awesome :)
The instrument you asked about is a Hurdy-Gurdy. 😊 You should check out more by them. Maybe go for A Rose For Epona next.
Or Ategnatos which starts with the same theme, but then gets quite epic in my opinion... 😊
... Inis Mona, Call of the Mountains...
