  • The Resound One Hearing Aid is easy to turn off and on. Dr. Austin will demonstrate each option to ensure you are comfortable working with your new technology.
If you have rechargeable devices, there are two easy ways to easily power them down, and quickly power them back up again. Simply place them in the charger; putting them in the charger turns them off, and taking them out of the charger turns them on. OR, if you don't have your charger handy, you can simply "press and hold" the button at the bottom of the hearing aid for 2-3 seconds and wait for the indicator light. Three blinks of the light indicate the aids have turned off. Repeating the action will turn the aids back on, and a steady green light will briefly appear.
If you have devices that use traditional batteries, simply open the battery door to turn them off, and close the door to turn them on.

I just got these hearing aides yesterday, and I am having a hard time finding out if one is on or not. I hear perfectly loud with the left one, but the right seems like it's off. I don't know.

The best thing is to remove the dome and check the filter. If there is debris clogging the filter, sound cannot come through. That is the most common culprit. From there, since you just got them, we would recommend contacting your hearing provider so they can get back in to assess the issue.

@Allison Audiology & Hearing Aid Center P.C. so take off the grey dome and don't use those?

@@allinpoker7404 Yes, you'll want to brush off the grey dome and remove it if the problem isn't solved by brushing it. Once it's removed, then you'll want to brush off the filter or replace it if replacements were provided for you. You can see it at approximately the 2:00 minute mark in the video.
You can also sometimes determine if the aid is on by cupping it in your hand when it is powered on. If it has enough amplification programmed into it, you will hear a whistle or buzz coming from the device.
If these tips don't help, please contact your hearing professional so they can assist and address the issue.

As a resound and nucleus user, I am having issues to pair both devices lately. I am trying to connect both to my iphone, but it seems that the iPhone only recognizes the last one of them. Do you know if it's an iOS bug? Is somebody else asking about this?
    Thanks in advance

Hello, this hasn't been an issue we're hearing of. A visit to your hearing care provider would be recommended to ensure all devices are up-to-date as well as your phone. From there, additional troubleshooting can be done, if needed, as well.

As long as they are charged, the LED lights should be on. This sounds like something to contact your hearing professional about so they can take a look in person.
