Meditation is a great way to exercise focus, since you have to sit and focus on something simple like the breath, and gently bring your attention back to it every time it wanders. Presently doing this 10 minutes a day and working up to 20. When I used to do this as a young one I could go for about an hour and my focus was amazing. Great content, thanks for the ideas!

I'm normally an easily distracted person but, I don't know why, I was able to read George Orwell's Animal Farm for 65 minutes, non-stop. I believe there's a factor of easiness of book and also if you're interested in what you're doing or not when focusing on specific tasks.

@@marie5608 Absolutely, I'm trying to learn Russian and when I try to read some book out loud to improve my pronunciation, max I can do is 15 minutes 🤷
That's quite true. But like what the video has stated about stimulation, we need to train our brain to have more focus and more endurance to less interesting topics as well. Our focus can be developed and improved with constant training. And there will come a time when we will be able to find the value of the books or anything that we found less interesting before because by then, we will able to give more attention to it regardless if we find it great or not.
Its not like I am not able to focus on anything important. I can read a book for an hour easily or write while enjoying it but the problem is that i only tend to lose focus while studying only :-(
It's because you don't study anything intresting If you can read a book easily It would be comparatively harder to read the second time Because you won't find anything new in that

Its not long formed reading. You get constant stimulation from pictures.
I tend to loose my focus easily during my online classes but this vid made me try smtg new I hope I try n it works
i can't even see a single video without scrolling through the comments simultaneously-
Thanks bro i saw many focus related videos but your video is much better than others

Can't even be focused watching this video before commenting.

Thank you so much bro.
I was having this constant battle between my unfocused mind and focused mind.
Plot twist
This is just improvement pill convincing us to watch his videos to the end
I knew everything you were going to say but I just couldn't accept that I need mental exercise without watching this video.
Thank you for making it.
I was legit just thinking about the modules I have to finish while "taking a break" and this popped up. UA-cam can you read my brain or smth?
the algorithm is coming to get you, its got the perfect thing to dangle in front of your neural system
SAME GURL SAME
You have no idea... UA-cam knows much more than you realize. 😉
I’ve quit entertaining motivational stuff for some reason because it’s seems like BS .... like Einstein or Tarantino don’t read motivational books. But you one of the few I’ve kept around. You work is great bro. I learn and apply it anyway I can. Keep it up.
this was actually really helpful, now let me go back to studying
For me the motivation is a great factor, I once had to read a book for the test, but procrastinated and only began the day before the test. I read the whole book in 5-6 hours with almost no pauses
Bruh I was listening to classical music that helps you focus while I was in class and this got recommended to me...
I note my focus time while studying and, that is 13 minute 50 seconds . I did this after ,I saw this...very useful...
Current level on reading Harry Potter books: 4hrs🤣
Yes. I have had mental junk for the past few months. My focus strength is around mere seconds. I can confirm this fact.
Even i can't focus on the video i have to scroll the comments😩
This helped me understand my attention span a lot. How it works and why its gotten to how it is now. My attention span right now is SECONDS but i also watch a lot of 15 second videos, max 5 min.
OMG THANK YOU! even in quarantine you're still helping me like crazy btw love the new animation style WAIT A MINUTE, AIR NOMAD IMPROVEMENT PILL!? did you join the ways of Avatar Aang?
I'm feeling kinda called out by this video. I used to be able to read books for long periods of time until now. I spent long periods of time watching UA-cam shorts and fb reels. I wondered where my focus went, but now I know.
I think I was supposed to be doing something, but I think I’ll just watch this video instead.
Attention shrinking process explained very well.
me: was focusing grinding hw
*gets notification of this video*
me: "well.."
*wheeze
Me getting ready to start, then this popped up
You are just the best when it comes to improvement. Nobody else explained this deep thing with such a simple analogy.
Cool, now can you pls make a video for ADHD'S ( desperately in need for a stronger pill )
Same... I was watching this video and trying hard to focus without my meds and it is so hard
I could finally put words on this feeling. Social media's junk foods !! Thanks as always.
I'm doomed, I couldn't even focus watching this video :(
Thank you for this. I have pretty bad ADHD and when I'm not on my medication, I can hardly focus on one thing for more than 5 minutes. My browser is full of tons of UA-cam tabs with half completed videos bcs I can never focus on one video long enough to finish it
You couldn't even focus on a 7 minute video and came down here to read the comments.
