This is awesome ! My male Budgie I adopted from my Dad is in conversion stage with me to pellets. He hates fruit so thank goodness I’m able to start with a grade A Harrison’s Super fine. I also use the Harrison’s birdie bread for transition. He loves his chop in the am. My BIGGEST PEEVE IS whyyyyyy do the breeders and or pet stores start them on seeds to begin with 😕❓ If an all seed diet especially with artificial colors etc is bad for their livers and development isnt it abuse to have big isles of these seed bags in stores? 🤷♀️ Shame on them. My Dad didn’t know better like most people, but pet stores should and breeders certainly should. It’s easy to convert to pellets as a baby bird from formula food. The conversion should start at that point. Less stress on the owners but more IMPORTANTLY less stress on these delicate birds. Love your vids and no nonsense advice! Thank you from one birdie lover to another 😊🦜
Hi there! Right on time! I've been looking for a month now all the pellet labels that are available in the greek market and I will unfortunately have to go for zupreem, as the top's are not imported in my country yet. My doubt was whether I should feed my parrot with pellets with not so satisfying ingredients or keep giving him this diabolical seed mix 😂😕 You answered my question, thank you for that! Kisses to Alfie, he is something!
Haven't been on youtube for awhile. Have to say, i love watching your video's with Alfie. Do you have a video on how to reverse a wrong doing with parrots please? i was harness training my senagal, not sure what happened but he is now proper scared, he freezes up. i don't want to give up but i don't want to stress him out. any advice would be welcome. Thank you xxx
The pellets seem to break in half and fly to the floor when he tries to eat them (harrison's). Wish they were a bit softer. I tried to soak them in some water, but he started screaming very loud and did not touch it. Guess I'll keep trying.
So I’ve tried doing this but she’ll eat around the pellets and eat the seeds and then refuse to eat anything else. I’ve bought plenty of different pellets and she does like the tops pellets more than other but see today I tried to give her tops and she didn’t even touch them. I adopted her so I don’t know her background and this has been an ongoing battle for the past two years. I’ve also tried giving veggies and fruits and while she loves fruits she’s not so fond of veggies and I want her to love her best life and I know it all starts with her diet 😭 😭 I’m going crazy
My Jardines is very Stubborn on Pellets. She's almost 8 month old now. She has since 3 Month 25% Pellets(Harrisons) in her bowl, but she isnt interested much. Sometimes she picks one but dont really eat the pellet she's only splitting/destroying them. Can you recommend some other good Pellets? Im from Germany, maybe i can get them here. Here are not that much Pellet brands available.
Sometimes it’s not just the pellets but making sure you’re parrot is at a good weight and not over fed etc. to help in trying them out. Check out Tops pellets not sure if they ship to Germany 🤔
@@parrotsco.3224 Shes' not overfed and more at the lower end of the recommended weight. She prefers to pick the sunflower seeds from the seed mix. so im afraid shes having to much fat
💀💀💀I have tried everything ,,,baking homemade bread and pellet conversion , all types of pellets , making it powder or moist,…. My cockatiel refuses to eat pellets 😭😭😭 I am so frustrated,,, waisting time and $ 😭
Love your passion about and to your bird!

I really like your videos, there is so much passion for the topics and you show us all of the process and the development, it's great!
Yay glad you like them! Appreciate the kind words. More educated owners = happier parrots = happier relationship = less re-homed parrots 🦜 🖖🏽 💪🏽
