  • Spent some time figuring out how to best align the 10KW #electric #motor where the old Atomic 4 used to connect to the propeller shaft. This took a few tries to get it to work.
This video is some commentary and DIY on the mount and some followup rambling on unfinished projects...
A shout-out to #GoldenMotorCanada and Muj, who helped a lot to get this conversion working through my DIY issues. www.goldenmoto...

@@TheNeds I have an ODay 35 I'm fixing up, working on going off grid. I would love to talk in more detail on how you decided to go the route you did for your solar chargers and batteries

Ha, ha seating here in Germany in my boat and thinking and laughing to find my Brother from another Mother. The reason is I find Vacuuming my boat is where I spend most of my time!!! Thanks for the Video as I am in the stage of Refitting my Boat and convert to e-motor. Defiantly contact Golden Motors on Monday. Are you happy with your 10kw motor?

Hello brother! lol I agree it seems that the vacuum is an endless daily task.... I am satisfied with the motor. I picked it over the 5Kw due to the torque spec. I'm only running it about 10 to 20% of it's capacity under normal conditions, but glad to have the extra room in a storm condition. Not so crazy about the controller but I had it replaced as my first one would nto function properly. I am using the VEC-500 and overall seems ok but it beeps with the brake on so if I want to electronically lock the shaft from turning the controller just keeps on beeping. There is no option to turn that off. Still looking for a goof throttle that can fit my pedestal / wheel as it's not a large working area. Best of luck on your conversion! If you post any videos I would be interested in watching your progress.

did someone know how to program the controller and the accelerator? thank you

i had to learn, the documentation was a poor translation of an engineer not from the viewpoint of an end user. it is relatively straightforward except for the throttle settings.
