I generally eat whole foods and limit ultra processed foods, but it’s so frustrating in the U. S. how it’s the rare almond milk, cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, and even cream cheese that doesn’t have gums/emulsifiers. I’ve decided 2024 is the year I read every label and locate sources for grass-fed organic junk-free dairy, make my own sauces, mayo, and dressings. Eating lots of veg, fruits, nuts, and legumes is easy for me, but it’s these extras, I think, that are counteracting the positive effects of so much fiber. Sometimes I do make my own oat milk, yogurt, and milk kefir, but when I lack the time, it’s nice to have ready sources.
Wish I could heal and know what to do foodwise so many opinions and praying for direction and healing for so long and Just getting worse and more disease and uncurable progressive damage
In January I had a blood test, one of the results the doctor wanted to talk about was my reactive protein test. We had a fairly unproductive conversation because he failed to tell me about my twice the average level of inflammation, so I was very unclear about what inflammation was and what it was doing to me. Perhaps I should research further…so I can take action. His recommendation was about promoting the Mediterranean diet.
I’m always confused when I see “Mediterranean diet”. I live by the Med and I’d say at least 50% if not more of the older population are diabetic. They eat this supposedly healthy diet but they are sick.
@@kaycee625 gosh, that’s not what the publicity says, because it’s a blue zone country? I guess more tests were needed to investigate the reason for twice than normal reactive test, but things aren’t set up like that in the NHS. We get generic treatment/advice. Maybe my inflammation base level is that? But I don’t know.

Would like to know what autoimmune disease Jay had.
