I've finally finished watching all of your videos on this trailer. That's a fantastic trailer. I can see why you guys like it so much. Especially if you're going to be in one place for a few days or longer. Put up all the extras and enjoy the coverage, storage and bugfree space. I just noticed on this video that the main tent is a simple connestoga wagon style design. Which I like. The 360° awning masks that.
That's awesome - thank you. Yes, it's a simple and clever design. The core of the trailer is the same as when they made the first one. They have two moulds down at the factory and they are the same core body moulds from the beginning. Pretty good testament to it have "good bones".
We’ve done a few; had no issues. We do wrap the mattress in a lightweight tarp (that we keep under the seats). We found that the way the canvas folds up, it traps water inside the “outside layer”. As a result we haven’t had any water leak out into the living area.
Great video and hints from experience all captured in the one video. I did find the audio a little off with my headphones so may be change the audio from stereo to mono?
Great video. How does this process work solo in windy condition? It looks easy with no wind but does the canvass become hard to handle on the wind on your own ?
Wayne - light to medium wind hasn't changed the way we pickup. Heavy wind does though; in heavy wind, I keep the guy ropes out and pegged in until I am ready to fold up. I then use the guy ropes to help pull the canvas over and hold it down in place. It's okay to flap around a bit as it closes. With the electric actuator, I can stop closing at any point and pull the canvas back into place if the wind has moved it. The further you close the lid, the easier it is to secure the canvas.
Hi champ- just stumbled across your channel - great chopped 200 and the Ultimate camper is correct. Good detailed vid - only suggestion is make your vids between 10m-30 mins and talk a little in the driving vids - would love to see your build vid with where you got the idea and why you chose the camper. Cheers!!
