- Work from home mom vibes brings you this grocery haul of restocking some staples and splurging on some specialty milks and beans for my new espresso machine!
Food Basics (on Upper James) and Sobeys (Golf Links) are pretty reliable for vegan options for me! But I go to different grocery stores in the city depending on where we are for baby activities/libraries.

Smoked tofu is a staple ingredient. Today I made a bolognese with it (haven't done that in a minute) and, yeah, I don't remember why I haven't made it in so long. Soooo good. In case anyone's wondering how to make that: Take the smoked tofu, smash it with a fork and then fry it in the pan with onions, garlic and just like you'd make an omnivore bolognese. Careful tho, you can't leave that alone (yet) because you don't want to fry the tofu too much, only golden brown. Add the tomato sauce base and now you can leave it alone, on the lowest temperature so it will only simmer, not boil. Leave it like that for at least 3 hours (I know, but, tomato sauce is not a quick sauce), stir occasionally, add some water if it dehydrates too much.

Medium firm tofu and smoked tofu are my go-to for almost every meal. I'm enjoying these videos from the west coast but appreciate seeing familiar brands and stores from across Canada.

Smoked tofu is hard for us to find. So I’ve been pressing extra firm tofu. Drizzled some liquid smoke and soy sauce so I can make your baked sushi. But I also made it into kimbap. Yum!
My local Dollar Tree near London had the Earth's Own Barista Oat (cannot recall if you like the oat as much as the soy) for $1.50! Worth checking out :)

I do prefer the soy, but the oat is very good too. Its just normally like 2-3$ more expensive :(

I have the Instant Pot milk frother but for my latte drinks I just use the automatic one on my Bambino Plus!
The glasses are great on you. I’ve always liked the see-through type, they seem to disappear on one’s face.

I have copious of dry beans that i alternate between for protein 😂 but yeah we eat tofu of some sort at least once a day

Its babybel plant based! They will eat any cheese though haha.

Her child does not have the capacity to consent to being put on the internet. She gives her child privacy. Nobody knows where their child is gonna end up, on which website, in what context. So she made the informed decision to not put her child on the internet. Given how many children that were used for entertainment that turned 18 have spoken out recently I'm sure it's for the best. When I was a year old in 2000 there was no internet and I'm glad my "cute" moments are on a videorecorder somewhere and not a click away from everybody's reach. We can't know if the moments we labeled cute are actually cute for the individual on display. So it is not weird but objectively a good thing. Hope this helps.
