This song shows the angelic side of Hua. But he is rocker, madman, rapper all rolled into one. The most versatile artiste you can find. This performance is beautiful but a rather tame one. Check out his other performances. He is a box of surprises.

What is interesting with Hua Chenyu is if you watch him after each of his songs, he has to take a moment to bring himself back into reality. I am not sure where he goes in his mind when he sings, but it takes a few moments for him to come back. Fascinating.
If you continue investigating Hua Hua, there is so many part to him. You have only seen the snowflake that fell on the tip of the iceberg. He is a master at rearranging existing songs, and brilliant at writing his own material. In some videos, he is in a competition where he has only 24 hours to reconstruct an existing song into something new and different (Dad, I'm Home, and Nanping Evening Bells are my favs). While Dimash may be "the" best singer in the world, Hua Chenyu is THE best musical artists in the world with his multi-talents and skills.
I am sure they both don't care about being acknowledged as "the best". They want to give their best.

Has a wide powerful vocal range, sounds like an angel when hitting highnotes, and sound like a demon king when hitting low notes, dramatic stage performance, versatile talent, playing instruments, he is known as great music composer and arranger. Hey, bud l have been listening to his songs for 2 years now, and honestly, l am not a fan of rap but somehow he got me into it, and yes Hua ChenYu is an all-around singer. People start reacting to his song after he enters "Singer 2018" and this competition rules change every year and year 2018 the rules are whoever comes last will leave the competition and replace by another singer. And all singers can only use 2 of their original songs throughout. The rest of the singers need to rearrange those songs to their cover version and vote by the ordinance and they only have a week to do so. He also takes this opportunity to arrange the songs according to his livelihood. If you are interested in his performance then here you might as well start from the beginning which is on episode 4. Try "7 personalities" from New Year's Eve gala 2020, or Jackdaw boy' from 'Singer' 2020 (Episode 1, in white tshirt, blue jacket and pants, if you're having trouble finding it because of the language) and 'I don't care' from 'Singer' 2020 (dressed in a grey-patterned jacket). I love Hua Chenyu so much. He has a great voice but he is a true artist and each performance is like an artwork which is why I’m so into everything he does
I think the easiest way to learn his name “ Wa tching you” his nick name is Hua Hua, which would be Wa Wa. This young man is so amazing he could write a song in 24 hours that will blow your mind from fast to slow to hip-hop to rock to rap, etc. iIt is a deep and wonderful rabbits hole. 😊

The singer is a singing competition somewhere in Asia if I'm correct. Also dimash was on the singer and he has many viral performances on it from his earlier days when people were first discovering him. Hua chenya is also a very diverse power-house of vocal talent! His performance of "Nunchucks" on the singer is really something else. Also you should check out dimash perform "Opera 2" on the singer. Both of these are some of my favorite performances of all time as they both have great charisma and stage presence!

He has a very pretty youthful tenor & falsetto, with impressive lung capacity, but his basic vocal agility & range seems approximately the same as some other (often Asian & SE Asian) young male singers. This video is from 2018, tho', so I wonder what his more-mature voice sounds like now-esp. if he's been able to find good vocal coaches to strengthen his technique. I don't mean to sound dismissive-Chenyu certainly sings this song beautifully & I bet he won that competition😏-but UA-cam has spoiled me. Operatic countertenors & pop singers like Mitch Grassi (Pentatonix & SuperFruit) set a damn high bar!

The Singer was (is) a Chinese competition for established artists, so a cut above your average talent competition. Not only were the performers themselves first class but the production, lighting and support musicians were insanely good. Jesse J was the first non-Asian singer to be invited onto it and she won that season - against talent of this calibre and despite missing a week, having to return to England because of heart problems. She really blossomed and matured as a singer on that show. It's the show Dimash won in the previous year and Hua in 2020. There are so many iconic performances from the 2018 season; Hua doing Nunchucks, Jesse doing Purple Rain or Killing Me Softly, KZ Tandingan with Rolling in the Deep or Say Something. Somebody stop me! But before you do just let me mention Tengri and his earth-shattering Heaven. That's an experience. You could do a lot worse than look into some of those. I'm off now for a cup of tea and a lie down.
