Hua Chenyu is A ROCK STAR!
Try "Fake Monk" and "Seven Personalities". The former is considered one of the best (if not the best) performances of his. The latter is often considered his best original song. Both are completely different from what you've just seen.
Hua Chenyu is my favorite artist. He is the most unique and versatile artist I've ever seen. His music has no boundaries with innovative thinking. Great composer, amazing singer and extraordinary performer all in one. His voice and style often change like a chameleon to suit different songs. You are hard to predict how his next performance will be. He'll surprise every time. There are so many incredible performances waiting for you to discover. Hua Hua is the King🤩 He is very versatile, he can do anything..in his own way. He is a composer, performer, Singer whatever... He has a treasure box of music... if you want to hear a ballad, go for Child, the same Singer 2018 or 7 personalities, from New Years eveshow 2019.. 🙏❤️
That's Hua Chenyu - an artist (singer, composer) with an excellent ability to use all kinds of musical color. I believe that he is very mature and conscious when creating his performences. I personally like his creativity, passions and energies. What's also interesting about Hua Chenyu is that you often don't know what to expect from Him.

I think you're the first to notice the different time signature of the opening part.👍 If you prefer rock, try "I Don't Care" and "Jackdaw Boy," as someone else suggested. Also "Aliens," the concert version. "New World" is mostly rock. His beautiful ballads include "Child", "Ordinary Path", and "I Really Want To Love This World," as another person suggested. I hope you react to some of these.
Hua Chenyu is another artist that I absolutely love. I love his stage presence, his authenticity, how he blends genres. I adore his artistic fearlessness & that exquisite touch of madness he brings. Please react to 'Ordinary Path' somewhere along the way. It was my introduction to him, and I was blown away. It's more straightforward, but the lyrics and his performance are so powerful. Hua Hua and Dimash are my two favorite performers ! Glad you've now experienced Hua Hua (his nickname) ! He has a lot of amazing content to explore, and will surprise you a lot, in so many genres ! "Jackdaw Boy," and "I Don't Care" are among my favorites. He also has this amazing ability to almost cry while singing in some of his more emotionally-powerful songs, like "Us," "Dad, I'm Home," and "I Am What I Am." The latter I think you would especially enjoy for the gorgeous instrumentation and production supporting his remarkable performance on the Chinese TV show "Singer." Thank you for reacting to one of the most prolific performer in China and my fav. His rapping in other songs are a lot more rhythmic and melodic with emotions which makes some of us who normally don't like rap. love his rock rap style. Every performance will have its special elements so its worth checking out many of his performances to get a taste of his epic talent.

Like Dimash, Hua is a musical genius. You are never going to know what he is going to do but whatever it is it will be absolutely incredible. Fake Monk with English lyrics is must. He is one of the best stage performers you will ever see. He can make you rock out, hold your breath or even cry like a baby. 7 Personalities is also incredible. He literally changes personas on stage as he does different personalities until he kind of descends into madness. That being said, many many of his songs have very deep hidden meanings. Usually someone will tell you what is being said.

I came across him when I found Dimash and I haven’t any plans to stop listening to Hua!
He’s quite unique . He once was composing a song and wanted the back ups to forget their technical style to a more organic sound . Watch his mouth and tongue . You’ll see how he can form the exact sound he wants .

He took a song he had done previously which is 🔥 ( I think it was for a video game ) then deconstructed it to include changing its genre ( while keeping the medley ), changing the tempo and it was stunning . I can’t choose between either version ! . ( “They Call Me Contra” to “Contra In The Wild “

I don’t like rap either but he has something to say , it’s not vulgar , and is incredibly relevant. It would make it easier for you if you do a little background on his Mars trilogy. His fans are called “ Martians “ and Hua takes life and how people are seen ( or unseen ) seriously.
Madhouse , Conversations with a Martian Child , I Really Want To Love this World “ are significant re:Mental Health.
Since he often blends several genres into one song seamlessly, he’s got our attention! I love WATCHING him perform. He alone ( as a visual ) is more than enough .
He’s even got a folk style song that’s completely different than one would think that’s just one of those songs that makes you feel good .
Rockish songs : Bound to be Free ( or “ To Be Free”), Jackdaw Boy ( mix)
Then -Bullfighting ( reggae/rap blend , philosophical and spiritual- Wayfarer, Equal to Heaven, Fake Monk and then every other song you can find .
Some people tend to compare Hua and Dimash and it’s a mistake to do so. It cheats those who do this out of a most “ whole “ and satisfying experience.

Hua Chenyu and Dimash are my Absolute favorite singers! They are very different, but they constantly surprise you.
HuaHua, as he is called in China, is an amazing talent. I found him (like I did you) through Dimash on the Singer TV show. And like Dimash, underneath, he is a very kind and gentle soul. I would suggest "I Am What I Am". In this song HuaHua doesn't just sing it, he IS it!!! Great reaction, J-Dub.
For me, watching and listening him is always an experience. Like he don't just sing, he perform an act always. It's so incredible the way he feels the music.

This is my favorite of his....Hua Chenyu and Dimash changed my mind when it comes to rap..never thought I will enjoy it...lol
Hua Hua is his nickname and he is my number two after Dimash! He is the most influential artist in China and appeared on Singer 2018 and came in 2 Nd. In 2020 he appeared again and won! Is loved by many millions and they are called Martians...I am a Dear and a Martian. His concerts sell out in seconds! Lol
Thanks for the Hua Hua. Probably the most original c-pop musician. I once saw a documentary on him and it showed his first competition entry. It was nothing but him playing the keyboard and making vocal sounds. He's right up there with Dimash in his original musical ability. BTW Hua is his surname which comes first in chinese culture.

This musical genius is my absolute bias. Hua is a performer that u will appreciate more and more as you continue to discover him. He is just super versatile and his own songs are always deep, non mainstream. I discovered him in 2018 while binge watching dimash and has nvr looked back.
I don't listen to rap either.Except Hua-Hua.I discovered him through Dimash.He was in the same competition one year later in 2018.He also came in second place.Jessy Jay was the winner.Love him.

I missed this when you did it, but I'm glad I got to see it. HuaHua is my very favorite,, even more than Dimash, whom I love. Nunchucks surprised us all, and for many of us it was our introduction to him. Next I would vote for 7 Personalities. There are several suggestions in the comments, and they are all great. Any performance of his is fantastic. Fake Monk is performance art, as is Dad, I'm Home. Keep tissues handy for that one; I've seen many grown men break down completely over that one. Child and Ashes from Fireworks are the most beautiful. Us will break your heart. You can't sit still to I Don't Care. Take your pick. I still say 7 Personalities is the winner. It's a complete experience that will stay with you.

Its a modern take on traditional chinese opera. Beijing opera is the most well known, at least in my neck of the woods. The hand movement is called The orchide hand… symbolizing the female.

Hua Hua is my favourite artist! He has got something for every mood. He is very versatile, whilst staying true to himself musically. He sometimes mixes genres if he thinks it serves the message and expression of a song. Sometimes he keeps it simple if it serves the emotion of the song. He has many great original songs but even his covers are amazing and belongs to him in a sense. He either makes elaborate rearrangements of covers or commit to them in ways that gives him ownership. I hope you will check out "Child" or "Ordinary Path" to see his more simple rearrangements and "Fake Monk" for a very personalised rearrangement. "I Don't Care" and "Equal to Heaven" to see some of his original songs. If your like what you see and hear, then move on to some of his newer songs and perhaps some collacorations with other artists.

He's a really fun artist to listen to - many, many different styles. He and Dimash cross paths when Dimash was a guest artist on Singer 2018 when he was a contestant. That's when I started listening to Hua - when I was looking for Dimash videos. Hua then led to other artists and so on and so on. He was also on Singer 2020 and won..
HuaHua and Dimash met in 2017 already in the show The Coming One 2. When Dimash came as a guest and sang Earth Song with Victor Ma, you can see HuaHua in his mentor’s seat. HuaHua was a mentor in this show for 3 seasons. That’s probably why you can see them hugging each other in the final 2018 Singer episode, they know each other quite well.

Hua Chenyu is a really unique artist. He composes his songs and even when he sings covers he re-arranges them beyond recognition. Nunchucks is an ordinary rap song, but he re-arranged it into this in two days for the Singer 2018 competition. Хуа Чанью знаком с Димашем. Он выступал вместе с ним в Китае. Хуа так же, как и Димаш, пишет красивые песни. Он собирает по 90 тысяч фанатов своего творчества на стадионах. Концерт называется " Марс". Он тоже гений, как и Димаш.Ему , по- моему, 32 года.В прошлом году он женился.

Lol I can’t believe this.. HuaHua has been in the industry since 2013, selling his concert tickets in under 2 minutes and gathering multiple awards for his music every year since then. People are only asking for Nunchucks and Fake Monk but HuaHua’s catalog of songs is huge with mostly music composed by himself. Just like Dimash, HuaHua has his own unique personality, his music comes from within and he isn’t influenced by anybody.
