I have a Vivo X60 Pro that is very good overall beside software that is buggy, real buggy. But still a great all around phone and in particular the camera which is great. Planing to upgrade to this! What I don't understand is why the Big Boys of Mobile Technology (Samsung and Apple) to name but two haven't implemented many of these striking Video and Camera modes into their Flagship models, looks like Vivo are ahead of the competition hands down. I'm sure that in another 6 to 12 months the likes of Samsung etc will have caught up with Technology but by then they'll still be behind. If Technology has reached this level now there can't be much more to strive for in terms of Quality surely and by the time every Manufacturer has peaked in terms of features - what next? In terms of 'which handset is better' I'd like to see s-l-o-w motion video shot in as many modes as you like of Rain falling into a Puddle of water (not Boba Tea). A winning component for me in vivo x80pro (aside from the camera features) is the teleprompter. 😂 this is very important for me as a working student who always have meetings and school reports. 😂 gonna upgrade my x70 soon. ❤

I hope you can do the same for Samsung S22+ as I still indecisive which one to buy and never has any brand of phone other than Samsung Galaxy. Which one has better camera capability? I know Samsung S22+ has better display screen....very bright and good colour.

In the review could you test out notifications. Seems like some China brand phones refuse to send up to date notification pings in an effort to extend battery life. I think xiaomi and oppo are the worst for this. Oh and also heat from prolonged camera or gaming.

For me this Vivo x80 Pro is currently the best smartphone in photo-video and seriously I love this fingerprint sensor. But,I'm waiting for the day when Vivo will integrate a quality selfie camera that films in 4k60 🤞🏽 For the moment no Android smartphones released after the Snapdragon 865 and 870 are worth their costs for me, ''Without control power is nothing'' The latest Mediatek are very good but lack the proper software tracking, the upcoming 8+ Gen 1 from Qualcomm looks very promising but strikes me as a retread. I hope that by the release of the 8 Gen 2 Vivo will have understood that the selfie camera is today as important as the main rear camera. 🙏🏽

Unfortunately, no. You can use filters but not cinematic mode or portrait video in pro mode.

Hey man, have you ever tried some kind of ND filter with the Vivo X80 Pro? I am not sure if the Moment phone filter mount works with this phone.

Notifications have been fine for me but if I notice anything strange I will mention it in the review.

I agree, that’s one area where they could improve. It’s not terrible though. I’ve seen much worse such as the Oneplus 10 Pro.
