My Husband has been a faithful Phan for decades ❤. Since he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer in April, Phish is all he's been listening to. It's helping him cope. I so badly want to get him to see them in concert one more time!! We don't know how long we have with him, but it won't be long enough 💔
I remember going on a special road trip from Maine to Burlington Vermont in the early 90's just to check out Nectar's. I had to see where it all started and of course eat the best french fries and gravy this side of France!!! Never saw Phish there but it's a pretty sweet place!
There really is no one like Phish. Their music has made me happy for almost 30 years now and they're still my go-to band. Trey recently said he hopes they're still performing at age 90. I hope so too.
I love you boys so much! Even more than I did 25 years ago this month when I seen you live for the first time! Thank you for continuing to EVOLVE your music and for being so aware of your audience. There have been some dark times in my life when your music was truly the only thing that gave me JOY and gave me the sliver of hope to keep my head up. Thank you always and I’m so grateful i got to be alive the same time as the best band I’ve ever heard. See y’all in a few weeks in St Louis!!!!!
A buddy of mine was a huge PHISH fan back when nobody knew who they were. He had bootleg tapes of their shows he'd play me and really only cared about their live recordings. When "Down with Disease" hit the radio and ushered in a wider audience including myself, it grinded his gears. He was irritated when people would mostly be into their studio recordings, when they were one of the best live bands on the planet. I went out and bought every studio album they had released up to that point! I would say things like "Man, these guys rock! If only they could translate what they do on their albums onto a live stage! I mean they're a good live band don't get me wrong, but they only really truly shine on their studio albums!" God that would piss him off!
If it means anything to you, Trey himself said that he views the studio versions as just another version of the song just like how every live performance is a different version.
Stellar musicians. There not there for the attitude or "look at me" sort of attention. They work hard to show the audience a good time. Page on grand piano was especially sweet.
Bravo young lads, what a great tune, the most talented band on the planet. I remember seeing them maybe in Philly or at the Garden in NY and they all kept switching instruments with each other all night, literally each played drums, piano, bass, guitar...to this day still the most incredible thing I've ever seen a band do live. just a big ball of fun
Thanks guys for doing this for 40 years! If you are into Phish as I am, check out the Rolling Stone interview Trey just did as he is turning 60 later this year. As a musician myself, I’d love to meet those guys one day. Tried and True legends!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Phish, Phish, Phish, Phish🎉
They are the best band for so many reasons. Personally, I think music should be an adventure into uncharted waters and Phish simply does this with so much grace. Go to a show and see them live, you won't be disappointed.
Saw this band for the first time at Red Rocks in 94’. And now 30 years later, they’re on the Tonight Show and it seems like they’re gonna finally make it big.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!! This song has sooooooo much meaning!!!! I've listened to this song a hundred times...I can't get enough of it!! Thank You Phish!!! Let's All Evolve!!!
I missed this song on his solo album, so glad to catch it on the new Phish album. This one resonates deeply with me as someone that grew up in a hardcore christian family. Thank you Trey & Phish. Love this song.
