Wow, I'm surprised Trey didnt recognize Free, backwards! I recognizrd it immediately. Then again, its one of my favorite songs of theirs and I listen to it often.
I'm thinking a reverse vacuum solo would probably blow but going out to a movie and seeing a dinner sounds like it would be a cheaper date.

it's crazy to me that it's been 13 years since the Hampton shows. And thinking about the 40th coming up kind of scares me, just realizing that they can't play forever and that we're all so lucky that Trey got clean/sober.
My guys :) Nice to see their dynamic offstage some. I thought YEM was Maze. Lotsa Maze talk these days...as long as they don't A) slow Bowie and B) don't slow a reversed tune Ill be grateful. SXM when they go backwards (dtnl) at Dick's ill be thinking of you and possibly cursing you. This was sweet though, such lovely guys.
When it played the build up to "BOY!" it was unmistakable.
I got 1 & 3 with no problem and trey was stumped….I think it’s the pressure of being on camera & its f’n with him, the deer in the headlights thing….he got the last one cuz he was maybe more comfortable with the game….I missed d with d, didn’t know no. 4, and I would’ve gotten 5 , i just needed a few seconds more, not that it matters how I did, lol, im just explaining, in a long-winded way, why I think trey was stumped on two really easy ones.

They were great in the 90s but after awhile I had to admit the songs all sound the same to me, like they're different parts of the same song
They’re gonna end up learning at least one song backwards. I guarantee it. Don’t ever doubt them when they say they’re gonna do something 😂 it’s awesome to see them having fun together. It’s one of the things I love most about them is that even after almost 40 years they still have as much fun as couple of goofy college guys

I bought Junta on cassette back in the late 90's and discovered due to a manufacturing defect the whole album played backwards. I wound up keeping it as something to play and make my friends trip out.

I've always loved what a fun "take making music seriously but don't take ourselves seriously" vibe Phish has. They're so self aware but not self serious, and as someone who likes everything from Throbbing Gristle to MF DOOM to bluegrass to Slayer to Fela Kuti to random chillwave/vaporwave mixes I love how pure of music fans they are.
Yeah, one of my favorite things about Phish is how much of aficionados they are, above all else. They deeply love a wiiide variety of music, and reflect it in their work. How many shows can you go to and have a chance of seeing rock, bluegrass, barbershop, thrash, gospel, atonal noise, jazz standards, klezmir, or extended spoken word performance?

My last show (and first in a decade) was MSG this past April. Such a beautiful and mind bending experience. No history of music is complete without a deep dive into the music Phish has created

I wish this was an hour long. Two of my heroes! I was able to recognize Free and DWD, the others were a bit harder. Maybe YEM I would've gotten with another few seconds - the big "WAHHHH.... Boy!" was kind of recognizable.

I would absolutely buy a best of HsihP., if it was a box set with them reacting to not just album versions, but the best ot he best or everything from s1984 to now. Like what do they think now of "In a Hole", one of my favorites, just because of how ridiculous it was, and "Dog Log", and maybe pre-95 Harry Hood. You'd know it from the beginning, but I loved the ending back in the 90s.

It had only been out for 4 hours.
That is true, although I'm going to guess that many of their subscribers are from the 126-million-view video with Chris Cornell singing "Nothing Compares 2 U." After that video, there are 115 videos with at least one million views each. As of now, SiriusXM has about 794M total views.
