    Welcome to the Letterman UA-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

      People were in shock that "America's sweetheart" had posed for Playboy. She and Hugh Hefner were friends and she asked him NOT to put her on the cover because it could affect her career. But he did anyway, she wasn't to thrilled about it.

    I think Pat was a great Letterman guest because they both shared an awe and a respect and also a little bit of contempt for television. They bounced off each other really well.

    He has to be the longest standing game show host alive as of 2023. I wonder who's done more episodes-- him, Alex Trebec, or Bob Barker.

    • @kishy214
      @kishy214 Рік тому +1

      Pat has almost certainly done more episodes of Wheel than Alex did Jeopardy or Bob did Price. Pat hosted the NBC daytime version of Wheel from late 1981 until 1989, and has also hosted 40 seasons of the syndicated nighttime version. With that in mind, Sajak would certainly hold the record for most episodes of a single show.
      Alex and Bob might have him beat on total episodes of game shows, however. Barker did over 4,000 episodes of Truth or Consequences, then over 6,000 shows on Price. Trebek hosted over 8,000 episodes of Jeopardy, plus several other shows like High Rollers early in his career, and later Classic Concentration and To Tell the Truth, both of which were concurrent with his run on Jeopardy.
