*TL;DW* • Visible+ DOES get *UNLIMITED* premium data when on 5G Ultra Wideband • After using 50GB on 5G UWB, my plan appeared to still have priority data. This likely means 5G Ultra Wideband usage does NOT count against your 50GB premium allotment (more testing may be needed) What has your experience been?
Best plan I’ve had so far. Just wish they offered a way to turn off stream saver but I’m using 1.1.1.1 to get around that. I’ve had speeds of 1500+ before
5G UWB is not counted with your 50gb premium data. I’ve used over 130gb on 5G UWB and it still hasn’t been slowed down, it’s great! One of the best prepaid plans out there for sure.
The biggest problem I have had with Visible is that the (non plus) subscriptions do not “roam” on the “Verizon extended” network, in essence domestic roaming even though the MCC/MNC shows Verizon, and the VZW coverage maps paint those areas deep red. I was without service for weeks in rural areas in VA and surrounding states. Visible+ should “roam” on the Verizon extended network, but I’m still 🤬 about that experience that I don’t trust them any more. I chatted with half a dozen reps and all of them ensured me that “if there’s Verizon service, Visible will work!”. Well it didn’t.
I feel like you’re such a Visible lover! And I love it 😂 I switched yesterday from T-Mobile to the Visible+ and love it very much so far. That the UWB doesn’t count towards premium data is huge! Keep up the cool videos and podcasts!
@@familyfirst7027 Yup, not gonna lie. I'm back on Verizon and paying the prices because of problems I was having with Visible's backend services and customer support.
As long as you don’t have to deal with support Visible is solid. The new plus plan had been great. Had to go through hell to switch phones and do a return though.
Yah, given Visible's poor support/activation-issues and the demise of the Party discount, while I'd like to add another phone I'm not risking it... the wife would melt-down. I'm moving to US Mobile once I vet their process (kit is in the mail). Then I'll move her phone over there also.
In Poland poor eastern european country 50% has access to 5g and maximum 600 mbpsthe Polish government still has not made a bidding action for 5g and operators have to use lte frequencies :( plus the fact that we have the cheapest internet in every european union and there are three of us in europe only russia and ukraine are better for prices but they don't even have 5g on lte frequencies
I'm a new Visible customer. Living in a rural area, my DSL service was never over 1 mbps. Using the hotspot with a repeater has gotten me back online for $30 a month. If all you need is a connection with limited speed as I do, Visible is more than adequate. (5G is not available in my area either.)
Stetson you do not need to apologize for Visible's horrible customer service. Multiple hours on hold with no resolution. That is the reason I went back to post paid, price be damned.
Spent two years with visible then switched to T-Mobile due to a discount cancelled the plan within a week and got us mobile and I like better than visible
I had just watched ur first impression of the new visible+ plan. So glad this video was next. Makes it worth it. But what about the Hotspot speed. Can u do some test? (:
Those customers that are paying Verizon $80. $90. a month should switch to Visible plan for $15. a month for 12 months. That's a great deal. Thank you for sharing those updates.
I am still on the old plan and have not switched to one of the new plans yet to save some money. I only have 4G in my area and in the last month or so I have saw my speeds increase even during peak hours usually late afternoon and evening hours. I have had less then 1mbps at times during the day, but lately I have saw around 5mbps to over 10mbps during the day. At night I have had speeds over 40mbps at times but the norm is mid 20's. The other thing I noticed is that my laptop using the hotspot now seems to be capped at around 5mbps and it never was before as I have saw 10-15mbps in the past, late at night of course. Also, when you mentioned about being deprioritized after using the allowed 50GB of data, wouldn't you only be deprioritized when the tower your cell phone uses is congested? I would imagine when you did your test the traffic was light on the 5GUW signal or there aren't as many people taking advantage of it since it takes a phone than can get 5GUW. I have been with Visible for about 16 months now and I like it. The bad thing is the with the low plan prices comes the lack of a decent customer service.
Doesn’t slow down only happen in areas of network congestion? In other words, your data is deprioritized but you only get slowdowns when you are in a saturated area
Speed is not everything, your data will get deprioritized when there is an area where postpaid customers (VZN) will take higher priority when there is network congestion. For example highly populated city area
I'm on cricket last month I went to a concert and I still got priority. Visiable, Cricket, Us mobile, and Google Fi may be MVNOs but they still get priority on there top plans as if you are on post paid.
Had visible but they really don’t use Verizon’s coverage in all the US. Clear example i40 from Little Rock to Oklahoma “0” signal for visible while Verizon does have coverage.

I had them for 2 days. It was horrible. They couldn’t get my phone number ported over. 3+ hours each time on chat to speak with them. Horrible. I went with your other recommendation- US Mobile and it has been EXCELLENT! Their customer service and technical support is fast and friendly! Priority data is a nice perk, too! Very happy!
Huge fan! I’ve been with T-Mobile for almost 8 years now, unfortunately the quality of service has gone down in the last two years and I’m tired of paying $120 plus for a single line. I am stuck choosing between visible or USMobile, will you also be doing and update video on USMobile?
My experience has been the exact opposite. T-Mobile service has gotten way, way better as the years have gone on especially in rural and densely populated areas. It may be that you're not using a 5G device but that makes a massive difference when it comes to the quality and speed of service. Meanwhile, because Verizon has the worst 5G expansion out of all the carriers coupled with their 5G spectrum being mostly Ultra Wideband/mmWave it's made it where on a 5G device (iPhone 13 Pro Max) you never got anything beyond LTE which was very congested and slow during peak hours. I also don't know where you get $120/line from bc T-Mobiles highest-end plan is Magenta Max which has zero deprioritization and is $90 for a single line without AutoPay. Needless to say, much happier with T-Mobile.
I switched to US Mobile. I did the eSim way. We had a few minutes of a glitch with it but then it fixed itself and my number ported in within an hour. I am only their 12gb plan which gets priority data and 5G regular and speed and service has been stellar. Their is plenty of customer service agent and technical support when needed. You can try it for 10 days if you want, too. I’m very impressed. I had Verizon wireless prepaid for 8 year now and then tried Visible a month ago- horrible and horrible wait. They never ended up activating my phone so I was afraid to lose my hunger and did the next best Stetson recommended option of US Mobile. My plan doesn’t have hot spot of roaming but that’s fine for my needs. They offer plans that have those.
I got a Visible SIM card, turned phone off, put SIM in phone and turned it on. The display showed I had a Visible signal which sucked because it only showed two bars and sometimes three. I opened their app and it just buffered. I restarted the phone a couple of more times with the same result. After turning my phone off I reinserted my SIM and haven't looked back. If I recall correctly I had the same kind of signal when I gave Boost Mobile a try in 2018. At their store 2.5 miles away I had 5 signal bars but at home their signal sucked plus I had dropped calls and my house is on a hill top.🤷🏼♂️ Being disabled I'd hate to have a call drop during an emergency...
I'm grandfathered original 25 month with your family plan. I moved and the upload speed is horrendous on my street. but down the road I'm doing great. I use my home att fiber 1gbs so I'm ok.
Had visible and then us mobile and had so many esim issues so I’m just going back to normal Verizon. It’s more expensive but at least they’re consistent and work
Would like to go with visible but customer service is a nightmare(past experience),and I don't trust them considering all the bad reviews about payments, phone screw ups and people not getting equiptment paid for.spend some of that money on customer service would go a long way.
I’ve had visible for almost a year now. Since the new plans came out my service is awful. I decided to try to upgrade to the $30 plan (vs $25) and it’s better but still have dropped calls and missing messages, slow data speeds sometimes. When I contact them they just want to reinstall the network. Should I try the SIM card?
I was having the same issue, my phone eventually would drop to SOS mode. They switched me to an E-Sim and things appear to be more stable. You can do it all yourself too! No need to talk to anyone, just go under account/ your devices. So long as your phone is compatible with an E-sim it should work
Thanks for the update Yes I checked my visible Plus plan the other day when I was on Verizon's C-Band ultra wide band It was blown away. It was awesome. Question on your network guru ap is your older Pixel phone rooted to give you the QCI settings?
TMobile is great right now but i would still say it has the worst overall (reliable) coverage. Once C band rolls out fully for At&T and Verizon especially, I expect those scales to tip back to pre 5G times with them becoming more competitive again
Good price. Fine service. But visible has unacceptably poor customer support. I’ve had them a few times over the years and always port out due to frustration with the non-existent customer support. I think you should be clear that these “activation” issues can leave you without service for 72+ hours as was the case for me.
I've owned my phone for going on 3 years it's a 5g I don't even think I have connected to a 5g network not enough coverage so buying the+ plan wouldn't help me much
I’ve been trying for a couple of weeks to get the PayPal $5 discount that I signed up for. Visible won’t honor it and PayPal says it’s a promotional offer via visible and they can’t do anything. I even tried to dispute the extra $5 charged for the last two months and was denied. For $30 Visible is a good deal since it includes taxes and fees. But them not honoring their promotion is just causing me to want to spend my money on another MVNO like US Mobile…. UPDATE: I've left Visible for other MVNOs due to their crappy customer service. They won't honor their own promotion with PayPal. Much better carrier service and customer service with US Mobile
I just got visible + I live in Texas just trying it out and as long as you are on 5g uw it’s unlimited high speed all the time which I think it only picks up in city limits outside or futher away in rural areas you will have regular 5 g or 4 g lte which only allows 50gb of premium data gonna see how everything works could stay depending on overall service here or not
I just got visible + plan and signal stays at LTE. My home is under 5G UW band coverage. Tech support said they have no clue why I cannot to 5g. I tried two phone. Pixel 8 pro and iPhone 12 Pro. Visible 5g coverage sucks
@@StetsonDoggett Well its esim that gets provisioned by the visible app on the phone. Downloaded the app on two different phone and did esim on each phone. same result. Yes if I drive about 5 miles away from my location then i get 5g. So why is the coverage map have i have 5G-UW? From my read online maybe Visible might be limited what 5g towers Visible users can connect too.
I had my pixel 6a activated in minutes with a physical sim with no issues whatsoever it just worked instantly and restarted my phone as soon as activated
So I have an iPhone 14 pro max. The only option I have is eSIM could you do a video with which carriers are best with eSIM? Specifically the vale carriers I.e. mint, Visible, us mobile etc.
Is this mmWave because I get 5G UW on my phone and I never get above 50mbps and in New York City I get no above 400mbps. I have Verizon 5G get more plan & a IPhone 14 Pro Max I think my service should be a lot better with the price Verizon charges.
Look im lowkey am trying to switch from Verizon post paid to this because it will def save me $112 a month on my bill. My question is am I able to port my verizon number to Visible?
Are you saying that to fix your existing line, you had to drop it, and then get a new line? Is your new Visible+ plan different from your old Visible+ line?
My mom recently got Visible and she can’t receive incoming calls. She can get everything and make outgoing calls and messages but no incoming calls. We did so much resetting and even had Visible reset her phone and it still didn’t work. Any advice?
Can you play or stream videos in 1080p/4K 60 FPS with the Visible Plus service because the only downside to Visible for me was the video quality being limited to 480p?
Visible+ can stream 4K videos when connected to 5G Ultra Wideband. You can also use a VPN to enable 4K streaming on any cell phone plan. Popular options include 1.1.1.1 and ExpressVPN. I have partnered with ExpressVPN, so here is my affiliate link - www.expressvpn.com/stetson
Do you know if Xfinity mobile’s unlimited premium data plan performs similarly to visible+? I’m just curious if Xfinity’s new 5th gen Unlimited premium data plan is still QCI 8… Any idea?
Does anyone know if you can just switch your sim to change devices or do you have to call the carrier ? With Verizon you normally have to call in for them to attach it to the account. I need a second device for work but need the ability to change phones often as the work I do is with Samsung. I change my devices alot . I have Verizon for my personal line and love the coverage and speeds.. But to add a line to that and have to constantly call to switch phones is a no go. Reason Im looking for a prepaid plan
I have 4 lines on us mobile with the best plan they have and I pay $34 a line with 100gigs of data and the 50 gig hotspot and I get over 3:25 800mbps per second . Us mobile is still better imo.
They are only going to deprioritize if the tower you are connected to is overly congested so obviously you're not in a congested area go to downtown wherever you are and I mean a big city and I guarantee you you get deprioritized to the point where it ain't even worth it...
So does this testing also prove that if I were to just get the $30 basic Visible plan, that my speeds and performance would be as good as the $45 Visible plan? I just use my phone to watch a few youtube videos (like your video🙂) and sometimes Hulu or Netflix. I never play video games.
Not necessarily. The $30 Visible Basic plan is deprioritized. Therefore, at times of network congestion, you will not have the same speed and performance as the Visible+ plan. Athough the Basic Plan may be sufficient for what you use your phone for.
New side by side to US Mobile with these findings 🙏 looking for the best family plan with best deals in Oklahoma- would you still say Visible over US Mobile? (3-4 people)
unfortunately if you're a heavy data user, they will cap your speed! (eventually) specially doing the speed test will trigger their system, mother carriers will not let you be better than them.
Im considering switching to Visible from Mint. I have about a week left to switch. Im on the 2 week trial plan now with Visible. Some things Im wondering about. 1 - Can I sign up for the $30 plan and upgrade to the $45 plan or vice versa without issues? 2 - Is it a monthly charge? Or is it a pay for a year as Mint does? Ive only been on Mint for a year so I was going to port that number over to Visible as with Mint you cant upgrade or change your plan without just starting over with a new plan. From the 2 week trial with Visible it seems good for me. Not noticing a huge difference from Mint in any way. Any other MVNOs I should consider?
Being a customer and still on the old plan, I think with the new plans you can switch but I am not sure of the procedure though. Visible is a monthly service, you are billed each month usually by autopay using CC or I think even PayPal. The day you get your SIM and activate it that will begin your billing cycle or that seems how mine has been handled. One thing to point out is Verizon owns Visible but treated separately and you will not get the customer service you will likely get with any other carrier. It is very poor, you kind of get what you pay for type of service. I have had good luck in the 16 months I have been with Visible but I have only contacted customer care a few times. The most recent was a few weeks ago and I spent 45 minutes waiting in que on chat to get a hold of someone and another 30 minutes getting one problem fixed and trying to get answers to a few questions about my old phone and the new plans but responses are slow because I think they are juggling a few chat sessions at a time.
Great vid Thank You. Hope you can do a video with Verizon postpaid(Play More), Visible Basic, Visible+, Visible Legacy, US Mobile Unlimited Premium, US Mobile Unlimited Basic, US Mobile Unlimited All(Legacy).
Verizon proper offers phone discounts & trade-in deals, and they a massive marketing budget. A lot of people simply don't know the other options exist!

TMobile is great right now but i would still say it has the worst overall (reliable) coverage. Once C band rolls out fully for At&T and Verizon especially, I expect those scales to tip back to pre 5G times with them becoming more competitive again
Verizon Service Is The Very Best
Tmobile prepaid?
Good price. Fine service. But visible has unacceptably poor customer support. I’ve had them a few times over the years and always port out due to frustration with the non-existent customer support.
I think you should be clear that these “activation” issues can leave you without service for 72+ hours as was the case for me.
Same here I just went back last month and already having problems with my internet connection. I’m about to leave again
Much better carrier service and customer service with US Mobile
does us mobiles 5g uw count towards the 100gb allotment?
I wonder if 5GUW usage doesn’t count towards the 50? I don’t think it does.
I just got visible + I live in Texas just trying it out and as long as you are on 5g uw it’s unlimited high speed all the time which I think it only picks up in city limits outside or futher away in rural areas you will have regular 5 g or 4 g lte which only allows 50gb of premium data gonna see how everything works could stay depending on overall service here or not
How did the 5G fare?
I wonder if the quality of the antenna in the phone makes much difference?
I just got visible + plan and signal stays at LTE. My home is under 5G UW band coverage. Tech support said they have no clue why I cannot to 5g. I tried two phone. Pixel 8 pro and iPhone 12 Pro. Visible 5g coverage sucks
Have you tried getting your SIM re-provisioned? Or attempting to connect to 5G UW in other locations?
@@StetsonDoggett Well its esim that gets provisioned by the visible app on the phone. Downloaded the app on two different phone and did esim on each phone. same result. Yes if I drive about 5 miles away from my location then i get 5g. So why is the coverage map have i have 5G-UW? From my read online maybe Visible might be limited what 5g towers Visible users can connect too.
@@StetsonDoggett in your test, are you using esim or physical sim
I had my pixel 6a activated in minutes with a physical sim with no issues whatsoever it just worked instantly and restarted my phone as soon as activated
So how to fix a " corrupt" visible plan?
I have a older iPhone with visible , before I upgrade network should I use sim or Esim?
What speeds were you getting on 4g LTE..I do not have 5g where I live and I am on my last month of party pay..is the $30 or $45 better on 4g LTE
My mom recently got Visible and she can’t receive incoming calls. She can get everything and make outgoing calls and messages but no incoming calls. We did so much resetting and even had Visible reset her phone and it still didn’t work. Any advice?
*73?
Hey Dogget, do u know which countries are included here? they do not mention them. thanks. (International Calling from US to 30+ Countries)
Can you play or stream videos in 1080p/4K 60 FPS with the Visible Plus service because the only downside to Visible for me was the video quality being limited to 480p?
I am on Visible basic $30 plan and usually get 720p / 1080p streaming (and while using LTE).
@@StetsonDoggett how about if I was connected to 4G LTE and not 5G UW then am I still able to get 1080p/4K quality?

How could I recover the speed I had since I activated the number? Since I contacted support and they solved the problem, my internet speed is slow.
Do you know if Xfinity mobile’s unlimited premium data plan performs similarly to visible+? I’m just curious if Xfinity’s new 5th gen Unlimited premium data plan is still QCI 8… Any idea?
Just to clarify can we still get the same speed with e-sims or is it just for SIM cards
Yes, that is correct. My previous plan that I had activated on eSIM was just broken. New activations should now work perfectly fine.
What is the best plan on the att network for 12 months in an annual one year. 🤔
I like visible+ converged only big downside for me is the 0.5 g of high speed data when roaming in mexico, 0.5g ain’t s**t for my data usage
Just joined visible with the $30 plan yesterday and I love it...😊
Does anyone know if you can just switch your sim to change devices or do you have to call the carrier ? With Verizon you normally have to call in for them to attach it to the account. I need a second device for work but need the ability to change phones often as the work I do is with Samsung. I change my devices alot . I have Verizon for my personal line and love the coverage and speeds.. But to add a line to that and have to constantly call to switch phones is a no go. Reason Im looking for a prepaid plan
In fact on the Tmobile side you could in some way say Google Fi is also really good.
Is the new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Plus the same that the 5GUW is unlimited premium as well?
I have 4 lines on us mobile with the best plan they have and I pay $34 a line with 100gigs of data and the 50 gig hotspot and I get over 3:25 800mbps per second . Us mobile is still better imo.
On my visible and total version phones, i never get more than 3mps and everything runs fine, even Netflix
My Verizon Get More plan is capped at 400 mbps all the sudden I don’t know why.
Just got my visible plus sim and not getting ultra wide signal only 5G
What is QCI?
What about regular 5g?.. reprioritizing on that after 50 gigs?
The greatest prepaid plan I have selected. US Mobile has been solid as well. I don't even miss post paid anymore.
its pretty shitty that Visible has free trials for iPhone, but not for android.
can you be on the phone and send an mms at the same time? Or will send after you hang up? Also when not in a UW area what would the upload be approx?
They are only going to deprioritize if the tower you are connected to is overly congested so obviously you're not in a congested area go to downtown wherever you are and I mean a big city and I guarantee you you get deprioritized to the point where it ain't even worth it...
I got visible+ but it is not connect to visible 5GUW. How do you fix this ?
(3-4 people)
How much data are you using for each of those lines? Do you need hotspot? What phones are you using?
I have viable plus plan. Can someone help? I don’t have 5guw. Just the regular 5g and I’m next to a tower too.
Obviously it has the same velocity, because Visible uses the Verizon network...
Hey any planned coverage on Boost mobile vs Cricket?
What about $30 plan is it confirmed they do get cbands but called at 200?
I would think you wouldnt about any deprioritization unless it gets crowded right
unfortunately if you're a heavy data user, they will cap your speed! (eventually) specially doing the speed test will trigger their system, mother carriers will not let you be better than them.
how good is visible coverage for truck drivers?
Is it party pay compatible?
@@skibik64 thanks for the insight. i tend to not need customer service but im always apprehensive. maybe i will try out visible.
Great vid Thank You.
Hope you can do a video with Verizon postpaid(Play More), Visible Basic, Visible+, Visible Legacy, US Mobile Unlimited Premium, US Mobile Unlimited Basic, US Mobile Unlimited All(Legacy).
I don't even get those speeds with verizon plans in my area. In fact, verizon is slower than both tmobile and att in my area.
Why does Verizon allow MVNOs to have the same priority data as MVNOs? Why would anyone pay for Verizon proper??
Verizon proper offers phone discounts & trade-in deals, and they a massive marketing budget. A lot of people simply don't know the other options exist!
I saw improvement after getting a physical SIM card. which I can't do on the new iphone 14.
I just downgraded from + to basic $30. Don’t live in a super-congested area and got spotty UWB. Seemingly same performance.
Do you still get 5G on that $30 plan? I’m going to downgrade as well cause I only get UWB in certain places and paying the extra $15 isn’t worth it
@@BustahNutt Still get 5G, though I usually use LTE. Same speeds.
Can see if metrobyrmobile uses T-Mobile net work fully and also can you a video on optimum mobile to see how much do they uses T-Mobile network also
Is your pixel 3a rooted?
