Read that book 15 yrs ago and bought a doz to hand out to people I meet that had the I can’t attitude. I still get a lot of folks when I tell em I will work for a penny today but you have to double my pay every day for 30 days . Great book and a great talk Andrew .

Very true!! Perfect timing... as I had to turn several people away because I'm already sold out of seasoned firewood this year (other than small quantities for my roadside stand), I found myself thinking that my break-even point on an Axis would be when I sell 30-35 cords. It's really do-able! But I also don't like debt, and will save up to pay cash when the time is right

Truer words were never spoken. Hard work, a desire to provide for yourself and your family, and a positive confident mindset will move you forward. Negativity will stagnate you.

I bought a wood splitter from them a few years ago. You can’t afford not to buy a product from them. Top notch stuff.

Very well said Andrew. Andrew I was at a fab shop the other day and was explaining a build for my skid steer to be built. Next day I seen a video and was like that product could possibly work. And it’s provided by all the commercial fire wood companies. Super simple and more value to the product possibly. There has to be a reason why it’s not implemented. I will be adding it to my attachment to try.

  • @BGWenterprises

Yep, my solution was to use my experience, "to on my own", locate parts to make a better woodsplitter that fit my budget.
As well as utilizing are trees and mill to make wood sheds on the place.
    Amongst many other things.

Your words hit home as I was thinking about what I need to do to make next years firewood production easier! Equipment purchases is the answer to that! Good talk Andrew👍🏻👍🏻

Nice video Andrew - people think big but settle for less, now put pen to paper and crunch some numbers and that big thought is in reach with planning and some hard work - nothing is free without sweat, sore muscles and a 24/36 month plan. Cheers

Why does the spec sheet on your website show that the 48C electric wood processor has a 60 gallon fuel tank. How do you fill it with electrons?

  • @jakebredthauer5100
    @jakebredthauer5100 18 годин тому +1

Don't we need cross splitters to supply the new firewood market? They have the X knife that can out-produce anything you have. You could make it for 3 inch by 3 inch by 12 inch pieces and smaller. 12 inch pieces would compete with 16s. I noticed, EHS in Ireland makes them. Rabaud and others. You can do it.
12 inch seems like a more sensible size than 16. You can make a big fire with small pieces but you can't make a small fire with big pieces. Where you are you may want to have big fires all the time but if you lived in the Ozarks you probably wouldn't.

I have worked for the federal government for a few decades. I recently started bundle firewood sales & some other side businesses. Everyone asks me if I’m worried about federal jobs being cut under the new administration. I said I don’t worry a bit there’s tons of other things a person can do, all you have to do is go out & get after it. I’m fully willing to sacrifice my career if it helps to make our country a better place for my daughter & someday my future grandchildren. My bundle sales will pay for my new Axis in no time.

Overall, I get your points and there is plenty of truth to it. Essentially it boils down to to earning it as much as wanting it. Your writeup in the description is great, as well. Improving is always good.
I know you for instance in past videos, have mentioned all the sacrifices you made to get to where you are today. You outworked many others, in addition to improving your talent. You earned your success. That's commendable. But all those around you supported you as well, which is huge. Critical, even.
Now without ranting and carrying on too much here, I can assure you that's not others. It's all about context of a person's situation as to why they maybe "can't" in life, aside from excuses. Every human isn't equal. That's a bit of a pie-in-the-sky mindset. Everyone can't have everything; it's not reasonable. Hence those that go the wrong way in life, like those drug addicts. Opens more opportunities for those who are clean and value life. But there are many possible reasons.
I say appreciate your success and those close to you that helped put you at the top of your industry. That's worth a lot.
