@@bsidethebox isn't the origin of the word labyrinth the minotaur story where theseus used a thread to navigate his way back out of it? wouldn't that necessitate the original labyrinth having multiple branching paths?
Wow. Etho has done Cub's maze in the most unique way. When there was a choice (unknowingly) he always took the hardest possible path and invented new hardest ways to make jumps. I'm pretty sure he is the only Hermit who did not find at least one water breathing potion at the underwater part, the only one who does the ice side of the candle parkour. He nails all the hard parkour jumps that everyone was struggling on (multi-slime jumps, honey around the corner, and the last honey jump). He does the slime jump from the ladder in the small tower instead of the hole above the slime. He now also has the highest score in trivia. Holds space on the vines instead of shift. Hits every button in stage 6. Does the final parkour while the trident guy is shooting. Just a treat to watch.
i was amazed at his parkour. ive been watching a few mc lets players here and there for over a decade now and all of them fail to do 2-3 block jumps. yogscast is horrible with this, fail a 3 block jump 3 times in a row and the cheating begins. etho out here doing the 1 block 'sptint jump, jump' combo (not sure what what the official name is, but gives more momentum/distance than sprint jump, used for 4 block jumps) like it's nothing.
The funny part of Etho-proofing is that he has built enough systems to know exactly where the weak points usually are. The funny part of Scar-proofing is that he encounters those rare edge cases organically.

You should wait for pearl to have some sort of build (maybe half finished) and build a purpur roof on it, especially if it doesn't fit in. Giving back is important!
Just a note, the "follow the left wall" rule for mazes only works on "simple" mazes (not being pretentious, it's an actual maths term lol), ie mazes where the walls are continuously connected or there's an outer wall connecting everything. If there are some walls in the maze that aren't connected to everything else you end up with loops which defeats the hand on wall approach.
Well, as long as the entrance and exit are on the same depth (like a traditional kids maze, with the entrance on one side and exit on the other) you can still follow the left side rule. Of course, cub could put the exit in the floating section to prevent this but it could be a good starting strategy to just follow the left until you reach the exit or the entrance again, because then you'll either solve it or know that at you'll have to follow a more complicated algorithm
This method is what pearl used to get ~40 minutes or so! She said after she learned the maze better it was a lot easier to navigate. But i think her best score was using the left wall method.

"it made my nose bleed" is a perfect characterization of the difficulty 🤣
Etho you packed SO MUCH into this episode. I'm having so much fun. Thank you Etho 😄
Etho suffered through the maze so he could flex his awesome parkour skills
Also the intentionally taking a hit from the guardian was so smooth
Omg! The thumbnail! I can’t wait to see this!!
This is going to be an episode I rewatch multiple times over the years. I can just tell. Too many hilarious moments. 😂
I really like the roof going whoOOP and then WHOop! Nothing advanced or anything, and I think it fits the style of the house!
Neat to see Etho using different routes through Cubs maze than others did.
Etho: Let's try out Cub's "Labyrinth".
Also Etho: IT"S A MAZEEEE.
What was the bigger moment in cinematic history, do you think? Will Smith asking 'What is this, some sort of suicide squad?' or Etho repeatedly asking if Cub's labyrinth is just one big maze?
Looks like I found my movie of the day to watch😂
Proud of you for pushing through all the maze...your're such a completionist, which is a compliment...you're awesome.
Happy Halloween Etho and everyone in the comments! :D An hour and 20 minutes of Etho and the Hermits is a great way to celebrate. Get your snacks! I guess I'll take some of the candy I bought for the trick or treaters lol.
I made myself wait till I was sure the last trick-or-treaters had come to make sure I could watch uninterrupted 😂xx
Good to see you still commenting on Etho's video, soldier. I remember when you were the top comment on like every video for a while.
hey man i've seen you around for a long time. just wanna ask whats with the numbers in your name? u a nazi?
hey man i've seen you around for a while. just wanna ask whats with the numbers in your name? you a white supremacist or what?
Cub’s maze is teaching me that Etho would absolutely go for the one block vertical beef jump.
Etho builds are so beautiful that it feels strange to think any part of designing a building could possibly be difficult o.o I guess sometimes it is hard to tell when someone puts off doing a thing because it is difficult, or because they are procrastinating for no real reason. In the first case, constant reminders will be detrimental rather than helpful.
After watching so many minecraft videos, they have all started feeling less like minecraft. Even the other hermits it all feels like a building and redstone game, but watching this just feels so much like minecraft. And thats what I love about etho.
Hour long Etho video on my birthday is absolutely legendary. Best present ever! The vibes are just as immaculate as they were when I was 13 years old and now I'm turning 23. Life is full of change but the fact that these videos have remained a constant for so long means a lot to me. Much love man
Such a great episode lots of call backs, one liners, smiles and maze torture too. 😂😂
Under a minute crew! And the shade-e is back!!!
YES!! I've been wanting a redo of hurtin' hermits for so long. I thought it was such a cool project from season 7 so I'm really glad you were able to get back to it!
The fact we're getting a Wild Life episode tomorrow aswell is nuts
That series comes out on Saturdays bro lol. That's in 2 days
Wrong day
Close enough! What a time to be alive
@@theAstarrrTimezones, it's already tomorrow
@@scientificthesis wow. nice. It's still about 45 (?) hours from release time as I send this (assuming an EST release of 12:00 PM on Sat)
I have NOT stopped smiling this whole episode--breaking Doc's shop is one for the books (I haven't even hit the halfway mark)
Finally, i thought I was only gonna see you in other hermit’s streams. 3 episode worth of content was worth the wait
Etho looking for his disappearing rocket shop like megamind misplacing his invisible car, you love to see it
