Imo along as you have a good breaking setup I find towing with a lifted truck that a 6 inch lift gives you amazing stability and still able to put the power down an that's worth 35x12.5x17
yes they can tow. you have to offset your lift with a drop hitch. also the size of the trailer and truck are at question too. a 2 inch increase on a 10ft trailer will cause the trailer to dance at 65 where as just putting in a 2 inch drop hitch levels the trailer back out with my explorer. it has a 2 inch spacer lift. found this out on my way from little rock to nashville. got 20 miles down the road and bought a drop hitch.
Hey Custom Offsets! Great video about towing with a lifted truck, but there’s one thing that I feel could be discussed better or be elaborated on more in depth. You just don't want to tow anywhere close to capacity with bigger rims or lifted trucks or you may have trouble in certain areas such as stopping or climbing.
The lift won't affect towing... Big wheels and tires will. For towing with big tires, re-gearing the diffs to compensate is EVERYTHING. I run 4.56 gears front and rear in my 7.3 super duty pushing 38s and it pulls trailers like factory.
