There is a big misconception of regen breaking on the BYD and Chinese EVs in general as they don't have one pedal driving. I had to do some research to find that out. researching whether to buy a Model Y or the Atto3 also took some time. Hope you break 100k this year tom!
Thankyou, I have taken one of these vehicles on an extended test drive. I havent bought a new vehicle for twenty years but have driven a lot of rental cars. I found the Atto 3 such a delight to drive I have broken my rule and bought one..
Good review Tom, thanks. I like your commentary as well, explaining the road rules in Australia as you go, and details of all the things you are aware of while driving.
Having now driven the Atto3 on a number of long trips and carefilly measured power use, the practical range from 100% is 340-350km (keeping below 100kmh) including a comfortable buffer. I estimate the drop dead range (normal highway driving below speed limit) is about 410-420km. If you hypermiled it at maximum range speed (75kmh) in still air on flat terrain, I estimate 460-480 km drop dead range would be possible. Running at above 100kmh the achievable range drops very quickly the faster you go.
I have Atto 3 LR and Model 3 Performance stealth. Agree with comments re suspension & handling.. Love this car. Had Tesla for 3 years & battery range gone from 500km to 430km. Will be interested to see how the Blade battery range drops off with time. I have hired or done test drives on Kona EV, Polestar, Jaguar. Love HUD in BYD although the graphics for my old eyes are hard to read. That needs improvement. Hate that Tesla don’t have HUD. Like BYD chiming indicator. Nab is a bit odd so looking forward to Apple. Car Play. Sound system excellent quality. Great work Tom
Thanks David! There are elements of the Atto 3 that I didn’t know I was missing out on in the Model 3/Y eg HUD and CarPlay. I’m hoping the HUD graphics can be improved in the BYD with future OTA updates if needed
Thanks, Tommy! Very nice film. What do I think? About Atto 3? As from 25. 11.22 - I'm driving it, with 5000 clicks on the clock so far, and loving every bit of it. Even the tyres. They are OK for my driving, admittedly I'm not much into racing them. I did notice the type of regen it poses,--- and I can only tell You -- I like it like that. What do I like the most? Interior of it. Dislikes? -- not a single one! Mixed driving? I'm getting that 420 km. Freeway? 350 km. --- and wind strength has got a lot to do with this. Have a Happy New Year Tom. Adam from Adelaide. Bye.
Placed my order a few months ago, awaiting arrival around Feb/March. The wife has a model 3 sr+ and I would love the model Y but price won out in this case.
Good info, thanks! We've had ours for 3 weeks now. I have found that when the Active [Tom] Cruise Control is running, it seems to keep those regen numbers lower. Possibly because when I'm driving I use more tiny bursts of acceleration to maintain speed. Especially with the regen set to high. Love the car though. Having seen photos and videos of the BYD Seal, I still prefer the look of the Atto 3 interior.
My old 24KWh leaf does this as well, you can use the brake pedal to increase the regen. I think in my Atto regen feels stronger in the sport mode setting in pedal off deceleration, probably due to the sharper brake response 🤔
@@glenisold79 Hi Glen. It was a little unusual at first but hit the Cruise Control icon and then press down on the toggle, and it will set at the speed you are going. If you press the toggle up it will default to 30km the first time you use it on a trip. By pressing down it will set at the speed you are going everytime. It becomes second nature after a while.
Hey there Tom, thanks for a series of nice reviews. I'm actually a bit of a fan of the Batman tyres, they're certainly quiet, steer well and are good in the wet. Initially the car does feel that it may be lacking just a little grip but when I started thinking it through, at 1700kg and on 215s the Atto 3 is actually somewhat under-tyred for such a heavy vehicle. The Tesla Y is quite similar in weight yet that runs on 255s and I think this is a much more appropriate width. When my OEM tyres are up for replacement I will look at what's available in the Batman range, maybe see if they do a 235-50 and give that a try. Speaking of the Tesla Y I have had a pretty long drive of a new one of those and frankly am happy to have chosen the Atto 3 which I feel is a nicer overall drive, steers better, is quieter on our Kiwi roads, and more intuitive than the Y with it's minimalist control layout. Aesthetically, I feel that Tesla have taken the nice Model 3 shape and turned it into a poorly proportioned hunchback. Keep up the good reviews.
Thanks for sharing your experience and I’m glad you’ve found the Atto 3 to be good for your situation. I’m happy that we have both the Atto 3 and Model Y to suit different tastes in the market 🙏😃
Hi can you explain the significance of what the number on the left side means when it is in minus value versus a positive value? What sort of numbers should we see ideally?
Thanks for another great video. Not sure why people would think regen was never part of the pedal braking. My Prius has done this since early 2000s. I have an Atto 3 on order and the suspension is my biggest worry. I found it very soft with little dampening at speed and over small bumps so it bounces along the road but around bends I could live with it. Not sure whether to cancel the order yet. Wish BYD would do a better suspension tune for the Australian market.
That is the same as our Hyundai ioniq 18. You get a small amount of regen even on level 3, but just touch the brake pedal and the charge regen line goes up heaps.
"Upgrading" next week from Leaf to Atto 3. I love my family so much, that for sunroof and ambient lights inside sacrificed one pedal driving and other things. Become kinda bus driver in Atto bus with 10y old tech 😆😂 Crash course on brake pedal awaiting me after 2y driving Leaf... :)
Dear Tom, I love watching your video! Please explain the differences between the Australian version and Chinese BYD YUAN. the first thing I know is that there is no seat heating in the Chinese version, maybe it is, but should it be enabled through the new firmware? And the other thing nobody talked about is the sound. There is a premium system from a little-known Chinese company, perhaps you could make a description and your opinion about the sound quality?
Thanks Tom, I like your review, it is somewhat helpful, but there are still some points I would like clarified about one-pedal driving. I recently drove a new Tesla Model 3 (March 2023), and I currently drive a Toyota Camry Hybrid (2019). I'm a rideshare driver so I'm doing between 180km to 350km each day (1,500+km per week), and I will be 69 this year. One of things I love about my Camry is that I can ease off with my right foot and let the car glide along while I am doing suburban driving. Although the regen braking is there, it is minimal until I hit the friction brake. The Camry Hybrid is the best car I have ever driven for glide driving. It requires very little pressure on the accelerator, and combined with using my left foot for braking I can often rest my right leg. By comparison, the Tesla Model 3 was awful to drive. The harsh regen braking required constant control of the accelerator, with stop lights being the only opportunity to rest my leg. This very quickly made my right leg tired. The Tesla is a vehicle I could only drive for 1 hour in day, not 10 to 12 hours. I am wondering if the BYD is in this category of one-pedal accelerator/regen-braking? Or, is it more like the Camry Hybrid? Thanks again, David
Thank David for sharing your experience. With the Model 3 you can reduce the strength of the regen by switching the setting the low rather than standard - that makes it more like the BYD Atto 3 which imo is similar to the Camry regen experience (which I have hired previously) Hope that helps
I can confirm, as having driven both the Camry Hybrid and the atto 3. Tesla's one pedal driving is inferior to a normal car's zero pedal, cruise driving haha.
@@LudicrousFeed maybe a video of it too? It’s your channel, just a suggestion =) bec in the past hyundai and kia were caught up in this mess and they vowed to rectify (by adding brake lights in regen)
Thank you for the informative video's especially on the Atto 3. I'm hoping BYD will update the software for estimated range relative to the WLTP cycle rather than the Chinese cycle (CLTC l believe) so it shows 420km rather than 480km at 100%. I heard colleges get caught out with incorrect range left. Cheers
I often wonder if a regen braking recoup standard might be set by driving down the Blue Mountains from Katoomba to Emu Plains, and seeing how many kms are gained into the battery in the process. That could then be applied to different models of EVs to see which one performed best. I know there was a similar test done in Norway I believe where a Tesla gained an incredible amount from regen braking all the way down from the top of a fjord to the bottom. Maybe we could do that here! Another possible location to set a standard might be going down the Illawarra Escarpment which is steeper than the Blue Mountains run but shorter. My Prius battery shows full within only a few hundred metres heading down to the Gong, the rest being wasted.
I have taken my Atto 3 on the Putty Rd to just past the Colo River several times. I was happy with the regen in eco mode and as you saw the break pedal initially does regen. I get up to a max regen of about -30kW perhaps higher (watching the road is more important then noting the max regen). I was not pushing the speed on the corners, but did not think it comfortably took them as fast as in my 98 Camry. However, I had one passenger and the back filled with camping equipment. I am on the stock tires.
my wife and I test drove atyo 3 about 3 weeks ago..the sunroof is defective and the sales guy said it's got something to do with the software and it hadn't been fixed yet by a Technician..that's a deal Breaker...so BYD has been ruled out and ordered Model Y instead
Hi Tom Thanks for your review of the Atto 3 and I'm seriously considering buying an Atto 3 because it is currently the most affordable EV available, the range is good for holidays and that it has a screen for the driver and some physical buttons as well. While the Model Y is good and Tesla is so far ahead of the rest when it comes to technology the price is the main barrier for me to get a Model Y and that everything is done on the one screen in the car and that has always been the one thing that has concerned me because if that screen dies I can't drive the Tesla. Also I do like the look of the Atto 3 over the Model Y and I'm getting used to the inside design of the Atto 3 the more reviews I watch. One question I have for the Atto 3 is that a while ago EV Direct made it compulsory to pay round $1,340 for services on the car for the warranty to stay valid, is that still the case or did EV Direct reverse that decision. There was alot of backlash for EV Direct doing this and I have not heard if they reversed their decision on this. It is also disappointing that EV Direct recently increased the price of the Atto 3 as that just makes it harder for us to buy it especially in the current economic time when the cost of living is going up. I'm super keen to buy an EV and once I have been to the Fully Charged Live event in March, and all going to plan, I intend to place an order for my first EV. Keep up the great work Tom we appreciate all the information you provide.
The Atto 3 certainly provides excellent value for the price. As for servicing costs, I believe there is now a 2 tier system in Aus for those who drive less - best to confirm with your local rep
My experience so far almost identical to yours. Handles OK for a compact SUV, def a bit floaty after you get above 80km/h. Tyres so far not a problem but haven't driven in really wet conditions for an extended period. Judging by other reports they don't fare well in the wet. Personally I don't like the regen setup. The blended brake feels spongy and you're never quite sure when the friction brake is going to kick in. I kinda hope they can implement much higher regen when taking your foot off the accelerator via software. Apart from that I think it's an excellent value EV. Sure, I much prefer our Model 3 but I can't seem to get it off the wife 😂
I’ll try to do a wet weather handling test during this loan period. I recall Model 3 became ‘one pedal’ a couple of years ago via a software update so here’s hoping the option will arise for Atto 3 in the not too distant future 🤞
Thanks for video. Have 2 question: does it have V2H charging? 1. Can I power my home with car's battery? 2. How many kilowatts does it take to be fully charged? Assuming 60kwh battery will take 60 kilowatts of electricity to be fully charged? Will appreciate your answers
It has V2L vía included adaptor. You can power appliances but not the entire home. This vehicle is the extended range variant and has a 60kWh battery capacity. How long it takes to charge depends on your supply. With a home wall charger it will take about 10 hours. At a DC charger, about 45-60 mins

It has one step to little regen, it is like telas light and normal. but it misses the "harder" one, that lets you do one pedal drive in town. So that is a bummer.

Thanks Tom...another great video. This is a good road to test on with all the bends and such, probably wouldn't want too be much higher a speed limit anyway looking at the type of road it is. Mind you there is a very windy road in Tasmania and it's a main highway that is rated at 100km/h for a lot of it and it's crazy but a good road to test a car on. You should do a headlight test on this road, it would be nice and dark I would imagine for testing the headlights on at night. The Atto 3 is on the top of my list as it's far more affordable than the Model Y, like $20k at least under the Y's pricing, and once my current Novated Lease expires it could be a red Atto 3 replacing my current classic Ioniq 28.
I used to think that OPD was the bee's knees ... but over the years I've learned that some passengers can feel nauseated from strong regenerative braking 🤔
funny thing is chinese brands don't use one pedal driving because chinese consumers don't like it. but outside of china, ev drivers wants it because they know ev as tesla. it is just a matter of getting used to, as both ways are about equally efficient.
I'm just switching to an EV (BYD Atto 3) for the first time in my family's life, so I do not know anything about one pedal driving. I feel having 2 pedals makes the psychomotor transition easier for us.
When you meet the CEO of the company, please do mention that it is not right to split warranty by parts. Not sure how much each of those parts would cost, doesn't give much condition company and its product. Why did they change warranty? Also why there is need for an expensive servicing?
Hey a newbie here .. say day 1 of an EV purchase project.can u answer some questions What is a Regen? What are its use? What do u mean when power (kw in the gauge) goes in negative? What’s that in layman terms What do u mean by frictional braking and normal braking ? 😮😮 “One miss I had was I used Frictional Brakes” can u explain in very easy terms.. please very easy terms.. I dint understand what was the mistake 😢😢 The music at the end -what’s the name of the music
Great questions - Regen: "Regenerative braking" simply put is an EV's ability to capture kinetic energy back into the battery when the car is braking. Essentially you're adding charge/range back into the car's battery each time it slows down. The car does this automatically. - Negative power: watch the video again, when the kWs go negative, it means regenerative braking is active therefore range/charge is being added into the car's battery. It makes for more efficient driving compared to an ICE (internal combustion engine) car - Friction braking is 'normal' braking: this is what occurs in ICE car usually. When you press the brake pedal, the physical brakes and pads slow the wheels of the cars down and that kinetic energy is lost to heat in the process. As opposed to EV regenerative braking, when the braking force is captured as kinetic energy and added as charge/range into the main car battery making for more efficient driving - The 'mistake' I mentioned at the start of the video was in reference to an earlier Atto 3 video I produced in 2022 whereby I mistakenly thought that when the brake pedal was pressed, the car would use friction brakes first. But now I know that it actually uses regen braking first when the brake pedal is pressed and it is a blended braking system whereby it will only use friction brakes if there is not enough regenerative forces to slow the car down. I hope all this makes sense. The music I use at the end is: 'Sunshine' by Simon Jomphe Lepine
@@LudicrousFeed wow mate that was so useful ✓✓✓ keeping in mind a day 2 of an EV research 🤗🤗 Can u make a video .. on how much electricity bill is added by an EV on full charge versus a full tank on a petrol car ( which I know total litres of fuel tank * 1.59$) Second comparison would be hoe many KMS EV can run on full charge versus ICE engines on full tank ..

Doesn't one pedal driving inherently mean strong regen is used? The lack of one pedal driving generally means the regen is less and mechanical brakes need to be used for stopping.
That’s what I previously thought too. However in the Atto 3, when you physically press the brake pedal, regen braking occurs first and only if needed, the friction brakes kick in. I’ve seen numbers go as low as -65kW when pressing the physical brake pedal
Standard Atto Tyres are fine in the dry, so far I haven’t done much wet weather driving. The car being front wheel drive and torquey obviously works the front tyres hard, so care is needed in low traction situations. Ride is quiet smooth and compliant yup even bit floating, but cornering is still pleasantly planted and capable some better tyres would improve this further but hey it’s no sports car 😁🤙
Yes and no. One pedal driving is handy for the driver but in terms of ride comfort for passengers it may not be as smooth. Using the brake pedal still incurs the benefit of regenerative braking 👍
Always taken with a healthy dose of skepticism when a reviewer is "lent" a car to review. We should give more weight to the review of real owners for obvious reasons.
@@LudicrousFeed An individual who owns the vehicle is independent while an influencer who has been "lent" a car to reviewed could be influenced by the entity who provide the aforementioned vehicle. Your driving position is terrible. You might feel comfortable with your arms stretched almost straight out when holding the wheel but that is not the ideal position if you want good car control. For this particular BYD Atto 3 video, I wanted to show the HUD behind the steering wheel. I have a camera mounted above my head.
Yup the faster you go the lower the range
Nice test Tom. Thanks for asking and making content your subscribers request and congrats on the 20k subs.

Bye.
Glad you’re enjoying the car!
Just got Atto 3.
So powerful
Enjoying it
Changing the tyre would be a great idea.
Let's wait for it to wear out.
Congrats!
Always love your videos Tom, keep up the great work!
🙏😃
Placed my order a few months ago, awaiting arrival around Feb/March. The wife has a model 3 sr+ and I would love the model Y but price won out in this case.
For the price I must say it’s good value
Good info, thanks! We've had ours for 3 weeks now. I have found that when the Active [Tom] Cruise Control is running, it seems to keep those regen numbers lower. Possibly because when I'm driving I use more tiny bursts of acceleration to maintain speed. Especially with the regen set to high.
Love the car though. Having seen photos and videos of the BYD Seal, I still prefer the look of the Atto 3 interior.
Good tip 👍
My old 24KWh leaf does this as well, you can use the brake pedal to increase the regen. I think in my Atto regen feels stronger in the sport mode setting in pedal off deceleration, probably due to the sharper brake response 🤔
Good to know
It's great to see the negative 38's etc but just because it's displaying it, is it really charging though?
@@Wristtoecoordination I’ve seen the SoC go up when driving downhill so presumably it does
Wow ultimate driving, enjoyed 👍👌I'm also one of those who is having Atto 3🤗
Great! 👍
I have an Atto 3. It been great. Can you do a video about the cruse control.
Yup stay tuned
I test drove one and cruise control started at 30 , not what speed you are going. Was I doing something wrong?
Yep I am a batman fan. Very quiet, handling is good. Wouldn't consider changing them for a moment.
Hi can you explain the significance of what the number on the left side means when it is in minus value versus a positive value? What sort of numbers should we see ideally?
Numbers is regenerative braking in action - means the battery is recharging while slowing your car down at the same time
Usual excellent review and info…
Thank you
Thanks for another great video.
Yes it’s rather bouncy at speed
Best review thanks Tom
🙏
That is the same as our Hyundai ioniq 18. You get a small amount of regen even on level 3, but just touch the brake pedal and the charge regen line goes up heaps.
Good to know!
Thank you!! 👍
😃👍
"Upgrading" next week from Leaf to Atto 3. I love my family so much, that for sunroof and ambient lights inside sacrificed one pedal driving and other things. Become kinda bus driver in Atto bus with 10y old tech 😆😂
Crash course on brake pedal awaiting me after 2y driving Leaf... :)
You'll be fine, I switch between our Model Y OPD and my Seal all the time with no issues 🙃
Ok thanks for your suggestion. Let me do a bit more research into it first
you should do an episode on how to jump start the 12v on this car, as its becoming a frequent issue for most owners here in AU and NZ.
If the ‘opportunity’ arises
With the Model 3 you can reduce the strength of the regen by switching the setting the low rather than standard - that makes it more like the BYD Atto 3 which imo is similar to the Camry regen experience (which I have hired previously)
Hope that helps
I can confirm, as having driven both the Camry Hybrid and the atto 3. Tesla's one pedal driving is inferior to a normal car's zero pedal, cruise driving haha.
Do the brake lights come on during regen braking? That’s my biggest worry, it should come on for safety reasons right?
Yes I believe it does
@@LudicrousFeed maybe a video of it too? It’s your channel, just a suggestion =) bec in the past hyundai and kia were caught up in this mess and they vowed to rectify (by adding brake lights in regen)
Thank you for the informative video's especially on the Atto 3. I'm hoping BYD will update the software for estimated range relative to the WLTP cycle rather than the Chinese cycle (CLTC l believe) so it shows 420km rather than 480km at 100%. I heard colleges get caught out with incorrect range left. Cheers
Agreed, the current overestimate is misleading. I’ll be doing further range tests to verify
That would be a good test
I have taken my Atto 3 on the Putty Rd to just past the Colo River several times. I was happy with the regen in eco mode and as you saw the break pedal initially does regen. I get up to a max regen of about -30kW perhaps higher (watching the road is more important then noting the max regen). I was not pushing the speed on the corners, but did not think it comfortably took them as fast as in my 98 Camry. However, I had one passenger and the back filled with camping equipment. I am on the stock tires.
Thanks for sharing!
my wife and I test drove atyo 3 about 3 weeks ago..the sunroof is defective and the sales guy said it's got something to do with the software and it hadn't been fixed yet by a Technician..that's a deal Breaker...so BYD has been ruled out and ordered Model Y instead
Hi Tom
Thanks for your review of the Atto 3 and I'm seriously considering buying an Atto 3 because it is currently the most affordable EV available, the range is good for holidays and that it has a screen for the driver and some physical buttons as well.
Under Australian Consumer Law, there are protections from manufacturers saying you must purchase (x) to make your warranty valid.
Where I live first service (5,000km) was free of charge. Next service due is 20,000km.
Next time that you want to do a brake test take on Putty Road between Windsor and Singleton very tight turns and around 175ks of driving.
Sounds like fun
Perhaps you can suggest to BYD on OPD?
We’ll keep pushing
How does the cabin noise compare to Tesla?
Comparable - a relatively smooth and quiet ride

Yes would be good if they could add one-pedal option as a future software update
This is something that I really missed from testing other brand ev with single paddle mode. And really liked them. I've always wondered whether the one paddle mode can be implemented with a software update fr byd or is it limited by hardware or anything. Found no discussion on this on the internet.
@@oneoone1o1 We must remember that Tesla did not always have one-pedal driving. It was introduced in November 2019 with software update 2019.36.1 and in fact I tested it in this video back then: Tesla Model 3 One Pedal Driving - The Gentle Art of | Ludicrous Feed | Tesla Tom

Hey Tom, range test to Canberra?
Stay tuned!
Good suggestion with a night test
I thought the tesla model 3 was crap this car has it beat with no one pedal driving!
Interesting point
The most efficient is still the good old zero pedal driving aka cruising.
I'm just switching to an EV (BYD Atto 3) for the first time in my family's life, so I do not know anything about one pedal driving. I feel having 2 pedals makes the psychomotor transition easier for us.
BYD did a great job on regen brake. This car is not one pedal drive anyway, so hit the brake pedal you will get the regen brake.
😃👍
Can someone sum up the bullet points here to read?
Happy for someone to write it up
When you meet the CEO of the company, please do mention that it is not right to split warranty by parts. Not sure how much each of those parts would cost, doesn't give much condition company and its product. Why did they change warranty?

Hey a newbie here .. say day 1 of an EV purchase project.can u answer some questions
What is a Regen?
What are its use?
What do u mean when power (kw in the gauge) goes in negative? What’s that in layman terms
What do u mean by frictional braking and normal braking ? 😮😮
“One miss I had was I used Frictional Brakes” can u explain in very easy terms.. please very easy terms.. I dint understand what was the mistake 😢😢
The music at the end -what’s the name of the music
Great questions
- Regen: "Regenerative braking" simply put is an EV's ability to capture kinetic energy back into the battery when the car is braking. Essentially you're adding charge/range back into the car's battery each time it slows down. The car does this automatically.
- Negative power: watch the video again, when the kWs go negative, it means regenerative braking is active therefore range/charge is being added into the car's battery. It makes for more efficient driving compared to an ICE (internal combustion engine) car
- Friction braking is 'normal' braking: this is what occurs in ICE car usually. When you press the brake pedal, the physical brakes and pads slow the wheels of the cars down and that kinetic energy is lost to heat in the process. As opposed to EV regenerative braking, when the braking force is captured as kinetic energy and added as charge/range into the main car battery making for more efficient driving
- The 'mistake' I mentioned at the start of the video was in reference to an earlier Atto 3 video I produced in 2022 whereby I mistakenly thought that when the brake pedal was pressed, the car would use friction brakes first.
@@LudicrousFeed wow mate that was so useful ✓✓✓ keeping in mind a day 2 of an EV research 🤗🤗
Can u make a video .. on how much electricity bill is added by an EV on full charge versus a full tank on a petrol car ( which I know total litres of fuel tank * 1.59$)

Why do people compare this car with model 3? Model 3 is not a compact SUV...
Mostly I make the comparing with Model Y if anything
Doesn't one pedal driving inherently mean strong regen is used? The lack of one pedal driving generally means the regen is less and mechanical brakes need to be used for stopping.
That’s what I previously thought too. However in the Atto 3, when you physically press the brake pedal, regen braking occurs first and only if needed, the friction brakes kick in. I’ve seen numbers go as low as -65kW when pressing the physical brake pedal
@@LudicrousFeed right. How's the pedal feel? Is there a lot of difference as you push the brake harder and the shift from regen to friction?
@@jfletcher1029 Feels exactly the same tbh. Nice blended braking tech 👍
The MG-4 is the car to look at.
And look at it I shall when I get the chance
Standard Atto Tyres are fine in the dry, so far I haven’t done much wet weather driving. The car being front wheel drive and torquey obviously works the front tyres hard, so care is needed in low traction situations. Ride is quiet smooth and compliant yup even bit floating, but cornering is still pleasantly planted and capable some better tyres would improve this further but hey it’s no sports car 😁🤙
Agreed
Lack of one-pedal driving is a significant drawback of the BYD cars

What are the obvious reasons?
@@LudicrousFeed An individual who owns the vehicle is independent while an influencer who has been "lent" a car to reviewed could be influenced by the entity who provide the aforementioned vehicle. That is of course if they are interested in continuing the relationship with that entity.
Nothing more valuable than an actual owner review IMO. In the past year, we have seen a landslide of negative owner reviews for Mach-e, Lightnings, Hummer EV and ID4s. That is telling for me. The common threads appear to be around software and lack of experience and knowledge around service. Generally a bad owner experience.

I just wish that your driving position was Not sooo wrong. People with UA-cam channels like yours have a responsibility as influencers to promote good (and safe) driving technique. Your driving position is terrible. You might feel comfortable with your arms stretched almost straight out when holding the wheel but that is not the ideal position if you want good car control. Just saying...
For this particular BYD Atto 3 video, I wanted to show the HUD behind the steering wheel. I have a camera mounted above my head. If I sat in my usual, more comfortable, driving position with my elbows slightly bent, my head would compromise your view of the display hence why I sat further back. If I mounted my camera on my chest or head it would not be safe nor would the footage be stable.
