Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 тра 2024
- Hey everyone! This is the first in a series of videos we will be providing for beginner players. I've had a lot of students asking me to go over these basics, so me and Max figured it would be a good idea to produce a set of videos with step-by-steps that can help everyone. If you like this video and want to know more, subscribe and then you'll get notifications on the next one. We will be going through everything from the basics beginner level hurdy-gurdy startup stuff all the way to music theory, sight reading, and more!
If you have any thing in particular that YOU want to see or have explained - leave us a comment on that. Wooo!

Wow now all I need is a hurdy gurdy
A very rare teacher you are, you explained why things are done.
Thank you! It's important to know why or else you can't know why not!
I like how she adds humor to her teaching, makes it fun..
Thank you! I try my best!
You are amazing! Thank you for your practical, no-nonsense tips.
Thank you for this. I look forward to the next videos.
You are welcome!
Perfect timing! I’m just about to finish my Nerdy Gurdy Linotte build. Can’t wait to get started, thank you for the video!
Excellent! Glad we could help!
Can we have a video of you using your bow and arrows?
Keep WANTING...God will provide. Shhh. Just wait n see.
You'll get something soon. Jaap has some great Nerdy Gurdies for the right price 🙂
Thank you a lot! It looks like there are no hurdy gurdy teacher in my country. It looks like I found teacher outside the country)))
You are welcome! The next video (4th one!) will be coming out this week!
Thank you for doing this!
You are welcome!!!
Omg! Thank you for this! I have to wait for my catnip, but I am still so excited to learn as much as I can.
Cody - you are most welcome. I can't WAIT for you to get your Nip. I know Radoslaw is trying real hard to do stuff while he is injured, but we all have to wait (me too!) but it will be great once the waiting is over!!!
@@noelle-beaudin I will be forever patient and understanding of his situation. I'm just glad that he is recovering, however slow it may be. I was worried for him.
@@codyosborne9307 me too! Once you get it let me know! Can't wait!
Thanks for the metronome pitch !! Too often overlooked but so, so necessary.
ABSOLUTELY.
Great video that will sure be helpful to people playing gurdy.
Thank you Patte!
Noelle, you're amazing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about the hurdy gurdy.
Thank you so much!!!!!
Well, I don't know if I'm amazing, but thanks! Video #4 is coming out in the next couple of weeks - we are having a lot of fun doing them and getting great feedback.
@@noelle-beaudin yep, lady is amazing... Cool
@@savagecapitalist Thanks!
Thank you so much--this is just what I needed! (And thank you for emphasizing healthy posture!)
Yep!
Thank you for the tips. I'm receiving my Aplo in a few weeks and can't wait to get started. Hopefully get to meet a few of you folks at a workshop in the future.
You are most welcome! We will actually be releasing the registration and booking information for the August Workshop soon so stay tuned for that!
The timing of this video is perfect for me too. I have just been gifted a Gurdy that needs some work and I'm looking forward to learning to play it. I've subscribed to catch the following videos.
Excellent! You will be happy to know the next one is coming out over this weekend! We are trying to release the next chapter every couple of weeks in order to keep at a good pace for the beginner. 🙂
Metro-gnome!😂 what instrument do I play while waiting months for my hurdy gurdy to arrive.
Hi Elizabeth! :-) Piano...it will help with recognition of the notes on the keybox once your HG arrives!
You invented a hurdy gurdy with no frills
I want to learn but do not have 1500$ it’s sad the price barriers for instruments can keep so many people away
You actually do not need that much $ to start. There are some excellent and very affordable options that are listed here: gurdyworld.com/gurdyblogs/cheap-hurdy-gurdies/ :-) Good luck, at least you don't want to learn bassoon - entry prices for that instrument are ~$4300 ;-)
What is the name of the french instrument that works like a hurdy gurdy, but is a long rectangle?
Do you mean the Symphonia?
@noelle-beaudin I googled it, and yes that is the instrument. I've seen it once before but never knew the name.
Thank you.
@@datsunlambchops4624 my pleasure!
