This is so incredibly helpful, thank you! I have access to a hurdy gurdy through my school (I’m a grad student in music), but there’s no hurdy hurdy teacher, so this is all wonderful and clear and helpful, thank you!
This video has the exact information I needed. This style of tutoring is what I need to get progressing with the gurdy. Thank you so much! I admit I snapped a melody string last year... got new ones
You're welcome Matt! We just filmed the next installment in the series only moments ago, so the 3rd video will be coming in the next couple of days. We also just got the updated pricing from Geneva Point Center for the retreat in August, so the registration information will be coming out later this week as well!

Yes, on Gurdyworld.com we have a lot of information. I personally think the Catnip B is the best HG for the money. knysinstruments.com/ and email Radosław and he will set you up with a great instrument. Recently I tried the new Trigo from MM Instruments, but I do not like that it has all G strings - it is very limiting for repertoire, even as a beginner. If the Catnip B is too much $$$ then try a Linotte from Jaap at www.nerdygurdy.nl/ - he is Captain HG Engineer!
This is an awesome video. Now all I need is a hurdy-gurdy.

We are well aware of your Sandwich needs....coming soon, possibly in Summer or Autumn, although the skiing right now is fab.
