Thank you Michael Gira and everyone involved with this iteration of one of the most genre defying bands continuing to push the fringes of music to it's innermost limitations. Each album has been a deeply personal and challenging experience. We will await your return with eager and baited breathe.
For me it was My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky tour. September 30, 2010, Cambridge, MA. This was the 3rd show since the reformation of SWANS. The band included 3 older songs from the past in the setlist (Your Property, Sex God Sex, and Beautiful Child). September 29, 2011, Boston, MA. The band performed I Crawled... I will also say when I saw SWANS for the The Seer tour (October 11, 2012, Boston, MA) the band performed Coward and that was pretty cool, too.
There is such a Dark and Deep thing in Swans, mostly the actual lineup, like an abyss, feels like it cleans my Brain with dense Darkness, dense and loud darkness
A honour and a pleasure to have found you guys and followed your music. You have scared the fuck out of me, made me weep and cleaned my soul but most of all you leave me open mouthed at the power and majesty of your music. Thank you.
I had the privilege of seing them for the first, and probably last time, in a small club in Portugal...so sick! What a experience! Since tonight, I have heard practically every day...
It was incredible seeing you guys live. What a fantastic way to go out on this incarnation. I also got lucky enough to get Phil Puleo's drumstick after Michael Gira kicked it offstage.
Wow. I wish I could've been that lucky. I only discovered them last year, and they never tour anywhere near my state. So sad I never got to experience one of their shows. Hopefully I'll be able to see the next incarnation of Swans though. It won't be the same, but I'm know it'll still be a mind altering event.
I love the creativity to experience. Currently there is a lot of technology and little creativity. There are few bands with ideas ... I'm from Argentina. Here we have a very good band that does this kind of thing "La rueda o el barco" you should know it!!
This video totally took me back to the San Francisco show of that year. I am so, so glad I was there, and I wish I was right now. I too hope that a big piece, or all, of this concert video might be released. I'll buy it the day it's available (and upgrade the windows in my house while I await its arrival).
Hey man! I saw them at Trees in Dallas! I walked out of the club half deaf. They allowed them to abuse the volume limit stat and it was fucking insane I walked out worn
So was the final concerts any different from the ones in Europe earlier this autumn? I missed them because of being in New York too short and I want to know if I missed something big.
Nope. Nothing special, nothing different, is what I should say. . I don't think he's actually going to be done with swans after this. It will most likely just be a different line up.
this version of you will be missed and endeared through history

Stop talking this pretentious shite
@@N3ukenInD3K3uken fuck you.
there is no single experience in this world than can match with seeing swans live.
Between 2010 to 2016 I saw SWANS seven times and every time was an incredible experience.
which concert/tour was best in your opinion?

BBGagger, SWANS never performed Stay Here and Sensitive Skin live since the reformation in 2010.
How are you not deaf
I saw this. I witnessed this. Still cant believe it.
There are millions and millions of stars, in your eyes
Had the extreme pleasure of seeing them live (& meeting Michael & Jarboe) multiple times in the 80's & early 90's. Still incredible.

Can't wait to see what the new incarnation of Swans will bring.
Easy ... he´ll resurrect the line up which has recorded "Holy Money" ... or do you think this will not end full circle ?
Just give me Jarboe and I'm happy tbh.

Hope they make dvd from 2016-2017 tour, just like in previous years.

A god amongst men
That outro would've been a prefect spot to filter the audience in red, and have Gira in black and white,

So FUCKING pissed my parents didn't let me drive down to Dallas to see you guys play at Trees. The next time you come around though. I will be there.
That was a fantastic show. I’m sorry you couldn’t come.
why do you let your parents control you? tell them to fuck right off.
Because at the time I couldn't afford to move out. I was like a freshman in college and broke af

They were the same apart from Thor joining the band once again. Oh, and they have played Amnesia and A Little God in My Hands.
Peter Seroka Ok, so there was a difference
these guys are alright but they take themselves a little too seriously. you're not fucking magician gira give it a rest already
Buzz Kill eats shit
I don't think they take themselves that seriously. They just seem to have more reserved and stoic personalities.
