Чтобы такое утверждать надо попробовать. Лучший вариант - взять в аренду и пожить сезон-другой. Все станет ясно. Но пожить недельку, с этим не могу не согласиться.
Very nice job everyone. Great design and functionality, efficiency of space and propulsion, great storage, low maintenance,, stable, and great looking to boot. All around wonderful 'ship'. Now I just need to save up my pennies, sell my house, cars, boat, and then talk my wife into living on the water where the rent is quite cheap.
This would work for us Floridians who have to cross large open bays connecting the intercoastal waterways here on the West coast of Florida. This expands the great anchoring spots and marinas. A new trawler or any type of traditional yacht would be outrageous to purchase with the same space and amenities.
Patrick EH, I'm on the West coast of Florida and own a sailboat with a deep draft. So many beautiful protected anchorages are very shallow and we've got local marinas that I can only get in at high tide then sit on the bottom in the slip at low tide. It becomes a waiting game just to get out of some of these places. With that shallow draft I could go where I want when I want. Lol
Nevermind. Just saw the price. These would probably sell for $150,000 to $200,000, but half a mil is unrealistic. If someone is going to pay $500,000, they'll just get a 50 foot yacht like a Carver or Hatteras or even a Sea Ray. If they want a houseboat they could get a 100 footer. Too many better options out there for half a mil
I would be more interested in using the hull as a start for an advanced, work boat / high speed, ultra-stable, deck boat. The vessel sits low enough that i think that i would install a heavy rubber plenum fore and aft to create a captured air bubble effect. along with adding a set of four retractable lifting wing foil pads. (2 aft, and 2 just forward of amidships). The wing foils would not lift the vessel out of the water, but it will raise it up enough to take a lot of the weight, and reduce the drag surface to be mostly on the 4 lifting wing foils. The foils could also be used as stabilizers, both at anchor, and at speeds below planning speed. The air lubrication, (high pressure air cavity, and super cavitation micro-bubbles) created below the hull, and the lifting foils would greatly increase the vessel's speed, range, and stability. Think about it...
Lots of excellent features for live-a-boarding. BUT why do you have the helm station on the wrong side? Center or Starboard. Where do you have to watch for boats to give right-of-way to? Starboard. Just saying... Otherwise very cool.
put a huge solar panel shade (which can protect the terrace when down when you have snow) and 2 huge electrical motors... huge Tesla batteries and that will be awesome !!
Is the onboard generator suitable for re-accumulating power if you choose the electric power pack over the Diesel engine? This video was uploaded in 2014. I’m leaving this comment at the end of the summer in 2020. How successful has this model been over the last 6 years?
I see a problem with a cross-over. If it is a boat, then law enforcement can enter and search your home without a warrant. If it is a houseboat, then they would need a warrant for search and seizure. Someday an owner will end up in court, involved in a landmark case that decides what a cross-over is and isn't under the law.
it uses water for transportation, it's a boat ,no matter what u call it ,because the law enforcement has authority over any boat irrespective of the category
You obviously know nothing about federal law. Nor do you know the difference between boats and houseboats. Boats, under federal law, are considered vehicles and may be boarded and searched by the coast guard at will. A houseboat is classified as residence (the same as a land-based house) and may only be entered and search with a warrant, or with probable cause. For decades, this has ben a sore point among boaters, especially those who do live aboard their boats as permanent residents. So, it is far more complicated an issue than merely both of them being on the water.
In Canada, it would fall under Transport Canada rules governing vessels. Which means many things, one of which stipulates that it is subject to search the same as any other vessel on the water.Play by the rules and you have no worries.
Wayne Wilkie That's good to hear for Canadians. In the US, there are federal agencies that use seizure laws rather freely. Just claiming a boat might have been used in a crime without evidence is enough to seize it.
If you can find a body of water running North and South that isn't blocked by a dam, bridge, or other construction, or that the government doesn't prohibit boat traffic, why not?
The U.S. has the inter-coastal waterway that runs along the east coast. The Mississippi river also provides access between north and south for boaters. People make the migration from north to south, and back, every year.
hmmm very nice. guess I could built simmilar looking one for friction of the price. Get old metal working hull and build it on top of it it the same way as extension on the house ;)
SAD it can't be used on the Intracoastal Waterway. I don't think anyone builds a houseboat that can be used on it anymore, love to have one if they did.
Very nice, but easily transported cross country? I would say transportable, but not easily. It would also be quite expensive. More of a large body of water, keep it home type of boat!
+Jack Of Some Trades hummm for something you have to rebuild completely (water is destroying everything quickly) in 20 years (not easy to be repaired as in water)... better buy a beautiful land and a beautiful new house... much cheaper than this little boat.
This one-of-a-kind yacht is currently available for sale. Find more information @ www.sundanceyachts.com/boats/2014-49-crossover
What happened to this project. Please, I am very interested
i love it, with solar panels this would be perfect.
If these are still around in another 20+ years, I'd definitely get one!
Awesome boat.
I love this houseboats.
Thanks!
Nice boat/home/yacht and nice view's of Columbia river.
Can't wait to take mine around the world.
The best two days of a boat owner's life are the day he gets the boat, and the day he sells it!
I want to live in something like this.
Just drop 500K and buy it the =p
Adrijus VFX just make sure u don't get seasick
No seasick here, maybe riversick or lakesick...
Чтобы такое утверждать надо попробовать. Лучший вариант - взять в аренду и пожить сезон-другой. Все станет ясно. Но пожить недельку, с этим не могу не согласиться.
The Marriot of shanty boats, great looper in style lol.❤
Awesome ! Just like a RV on water. I like it
Very simple beautiful open sea view and spacious

Ideal for lakes, rivers, the intracoastal and cruising the Florida Keys. I would prefer a four stroke outboard bc of ease of maintenance and tilt!

"This expands the great anchoring spots and marinas" How so Cindy?

Looks so nice
Introductory offer - $499,000.00 Ouch. If they can get the price down to $250K, they will be in the market.
Portland Oregon, represented!
Nice...I want one
How much it cost
If ya gotta ask ya can’t afford it
Five years later, I wonder if it still floats, or how it's endured. My guess is they found out about wind.
Still in Seattle and floating :)
@@SunnyDudes321 Hello! Do you use it as a house or a boat? I am wondering if it’s actually feasible to travel on river.
I like it alot... Great video
This is exactly what I want

Very nice.
Very very cool

Great video and the editing is awesome.
Better than a yacht.
Tell the girl that she should always have that short-cut. My god that looks good on her.
I love it live in a marina
giấc mơ của tôi!!!
Well done!
Very nice. How much please¿.?
put a huge solar panel shade (which can protect the terrace when down when you have snow) and 2 huge electrical motors... huge Tesla batteries and that will be awesome !!
Amazing
Is it okay to take this from Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini? It looks like a perfect boat to spend a weekend on in the bahamas.
What happens if it rains. Will all the furniture outside get ruined?
Beautiful
Is this a 1 off ? Or a 1 shot custom deal?

This video was uploaded in 2014. I’m leaving this comment at the end of the summer in 2020. How successful has this model been over the last 6 years?
Very nice, but it just seems like a houseboat to me.
@Sundance Yachts, I am aware you no longer manufacture the CrossOver. I'm curious are the plans for the CrossOver for sale?
I see downsides, but if it suits your needs it looks like a great place to spend a lot of time..
I prefer two four stroke outboards. New models are quiet and efficient AND can be tilted up in shallow water.
morning sir..im from malaysia..diD You have houseboat price below RM5000?
👍👌very beatiful😍
Great boat boat but add in a walk around facility will be better for fisherman
Wow that was a awesome boat. I was dreaming the whole time.
The U.S. Coast Guard has authority over every boat on the ocean or gulfs.
I'll take it.

Jaye Jay Curry ewwwhy are you so concerned about being searched ? LOL
So how does one purchase this? The link doesn't work and the boat can't be found online anymore.
I can't get access to the website.
I like this. My husband wants to live on a boat, to me I could live on this. But $500,000. is way too much for me. It is nice to dream.
How much?

LIFE WAS MEANT TO be luxurious

I wonder if you can head south for the winter then back during the year with this crossover.
People make the migration from north to south, and back, every year.
why dont you just stay south all the time and save the trip north
Fabio Roscilli I was referring to the seafaring capability of the crossover itself, but thanks for the sarcasm; couldn't do without it.
love it, great sarcasm.
Would be nice if you could post what ball-park $ this was in....
seeingUFOsPA $499,999
Molto bella!!!! Però con mare formato ho qualche dubbio
Where do I sign up?.. 🤔😂💪🏿 #sundance
😁
hmmm very nice. guess I could built simmilar looking one for friction of the price. Get old metal working hull and build it on top of it it the same way as extension on the house ;)
Do it. You could make heaps of them and make millions of dollars.
You won't do shit.
+Steve Gould made me lol
But will yours blend hmmm
You didn't mention air conditioning or the price.
Whats the price
Dream on...
Price ? Offer where can i find ?
Me encanta
How much this pricing.
how much for Philippines
Price?
its a kind like a floating first class RV..
if its new why was it pumping all that water out ??
chuck rodriguez I didn't see a roof mounted Air Conditioner so it's probably the discharge for the marine AC unit.
+chuck rodriguez The engine is water cooled and this is probably the warm water being discharged.
I WONDER IF YOU CAN CROSS THE PACIFIC WITH IT. 🤔
Where do I sign? 😊
SAD it can't be used on the Intracoastal Waterway. I don't think anyone builds a houseboat that can be used on it anymore, love to have one if they did.
Beautiful boat where can I find one?
What happened to this?
Ingin rasa ny memiliki ny,, tuk mnyenangkan orangtua dan saudara, tpi apa daya, hnya bs menikmati ny lewat khayalan dan mmpi..

+Jack Of Some Trades hummm for something you have to rebuild completely (water is destroying everything quickly) in 20 years (not easy to be repaired as in water)... better buy a beautiful land and a beautiful new house... much cheaper than this little boat.
Kalvin One Yeah I could buy like 10 acres of land with that money and the materials to build my own house.
Draft?

Pwede basta mag survive
i like the hard top version better.
HOW MUCH!!!!!!!!
it's half a million dollars
Wow, Thats cheaper than my house
Oh don't worry, yacht club membership fees more than make up for that.
The website "CROSSOVERYACHTS.COM" isn't working.
Can I live full season?
Shipping cost to Denmark?
